I had a 16 x 20 from an iPhone photo done initially at Walmart... twice. Disappointed with the first, I had a slightly different photo done thinking it might be my fault. Result was the same. Unsatisfactory even to my non-professional eye. I then went to Bedford hoping for better, but also expecting them to be at least twice the price. The results from Bedford were spectacular! No comparison. The cost...$18 something from Walmart, $21 something from Bedford. No reason to go anywhere else for prints. read more

I've rented multiple lenses from Bedford in the past 2 years and never had an issue. They always take care of me but everyone always does seem like they are in a rush here, even when they have seems like 10 employees and only me in the store. However, this is a locally owned shop and I support small business. They have everything you need from gadgets to gizmo's for cameras and are very knowledgeable. I went into Bedford with the intentions of trading in 4 lenses, all of which are in wonderful condition and have been well kept. When I mentioned doing a trade in, the employee asked to see the lenses. The moment I showed them, he said, "We can't give you much for these, but let's see how they do." The employee tested them on my camera bodies and looked disappointed with how lenses worked, although I know they work great as I use them daily. He goes into the back and as I'm waiting, I notice he didn't change the settings to test the lenses properly. He used the same settings inside the building as I did in full sunlight the pervious day. When he gave me my quote, the lens totals he provided were $135. Ridiculous! The same lenses I brought in were listed on their website for $950 total. I asked why it was so low and the employee kept saying, "it's not a private trade-in, so you're not going to get as much." I understood that, but I don't understand why it is astronomically low. I will be doing business elsewhere. The employee even told me that he doesn't not use Bedford to trade-ins due to their low trade in values. If you are looking to trade in, do NOT go to Bedford. read more

Great camera shop. Was looking for low cost used lens and found a great deal on one that fit my needs. Was impressed with the service - rep I spoke with was friendly and knew his stuff. Terrific selection of new gear, including tripods, sliders, lighting etc and I was also able to find a Manfrotto video head for my rig. Live a couple of hours away and was great to find a nearby shop. They gladly let me examine new cameras and gear I was interested in also. read more

I bought a Sony alpha camera at Bedford last year. The battery became stucked recently. I did every trick I could find online to get it out without luck. They were able to get it out & even replaced the battery because it was their own. They said the battery probably overheated & became swollen. Once swollen, it won't go down. I did not expect them to replace the battery. It was a quick resolution & I was able to use the camera for a very special occasion immediately. They didn't even ask if the camera was still under warranty. Very thankful for their great customer service !! read more

The bad news. The print quality is inferior to what I expect as a photographer. When I pointed this out, they told me it was my photography settings in my camera that caused these poor images. The good news. They gave me a refund. I ordered the same prints from my professional lab and they were 100% professional quality and were as what I expected and saw on my computer screen, unlike Bedford prints. read more
