    Full USS New Jersey
    Kevin N.

Stopped in after a beautiful hike at the Bedford Reservation Metropark (just a quick drive down the road). This place definitely hit the spot! It's a cute cafe, with a delicious looking display case of baked goods and treats. You place your order at the counter and they bring your food to your table to eat. The menu features a large assortment of sandwiches, wraps, and subs! They also have breakfast, soups, salads, and a large coffee menu. I got the USS New Jersey Battleship, which is described as huge a 15 inch sub that few can take down in one sitting. And I agree! Out came two huge subs, filled with toppings, that became my lunch and then my dinner. The New Jersey had capicola, salami, pepperoni, cheese, shredded lettuce and banana peppers. A really great sub for less than $10! A friend tried the turkey club, which was a visually quite stunning three bread sandwich. Another friend really enjoyed their breakfast sandwhich. And the root beer floats were three huge scoops of vanilla ice cream and a bottle of root beer. Overall, this place is a total gem, and I will absolutely be back next time in the area for the metroparks!

Chai tea latte with cinnamon and a Good to Go breakfast wrap with spinach and extra peppers

I came to this restaurant because it received a high review. It was the middle ground for me coming from Medina and my friend coming from Richmond Heights I ordered a hot chai tea latte with cinnamon that was phenomenal. Great peaceful restaurant with friendly staff and great food. I had the good to go breakfast wrap with extra peppers. If you're ever in the area, make sure you stop by. You will not be disappointed

Fresh food, fresh soup, Monstrous subs ( called Battleships ), fresh bakery and the best Chicken Salad sandwich on a toasted croissant I have ever eaten. No deep fryer here so sides are coleslaw or other deli item or potato chips. Service can get backed up during peak hours as everything is made to order. Their sausage cheese dip appetizer is also very very good. This is a hidden gem! Hidden in plain sight right next to the square in Bedford. Please try

GREAT small independent right on the square in downtown Bedford, Ohio. The coffee, bakery, and meals are all GREAT here. The holiday lights on the square in Bedford are something to see.

    Delicious "Good to go" wrap!

It fills the local coffee void, it's one of the only ones around (Dunkin' Donuts is nearby). Ambiance: The cafe is small and has simple decor. There are pops of aqua colored (but a little dated) furniture and space-themed wall decor. Multiple seating options are available including tables, high tops, and love seats. The layout is a little peculiar. For instance, love seats face awkwardly face the wall. A little table in front of the love seats would make more sense and provide a better setup. The cafe was very quiet when I visited (around 10 AM) with only one customer dining at the cafe with his laptop. Food/Drinks: Food and drink menu is pretty expansive. Food options include bragels, pretzel minis, and muffins. Drink menu features lattes, hot chocolate, tea lattes, energy (Red Bull mocktails), sweet foam cold brew, coffee, Red Eye, crème freeze, and ice coffee. Check out their seasonal menu for options like Campfire Latte and Blackberry Bolt Mocktail. There is definitely sweet emphasis at this cafe, they try to offer sweet foam on all drinks. You can also buy limited merchandise in store such as cold and hot coffee mugs. I ordered Cold Brew (black, no additives and no foam) and Bragel (with ham, bacon, cheese, and cream cheese on Asiago bagel). My total was a little over $10, which seemed pretty economic considering that I purchased 24 oz coffee. Cold Brew was too diluted and contained too much ice. Bragel was not as plump as at other coffee shops. It was dry, and seemed to use lower tier ingredients. For instance, bacon was a tiny sliver and ham very thin cold cut. I did not enjoy either menu item. But I was also mentally comparing them to the other coffee shops that I frequent. I appreciated that cup sizes were standing right next to the checkout so one can make an easy size decision. Service: Service was lightning fast. I received my order within minutes. I was the only customer in line. I was warmly greeted upon my arrival. When I announced that it was my first time there were really no attempts made to introduce me to the menu. Still I thought the service was very prompt and attentive. Ordering options: Ordering is available online, in the drive thru, and in person. I couldn't figure out how to place an order online, it didn't lead me to checkout or allowed me to add items on the web version. It wasn't user-friendly. I appreciated that every item had nutritional information online and ingredients/customization. As far as the drive thru, there were no clear in/out indicators. Hours: The cafe is open 6 AM - 7 PM, which are very customer-centric hours. How amazing! I didn't necessarily think that the menu cater to dinner customers well. Savings: They have rewards app. Scan a QR code while in store. Entrepreneurial resources: This cafe sells books from Biggby Co-CEO Michael McFall sold in cafe and online. There were two different books available. Parking: This cafe is located in a shopping plaza with a small parking lot. I won't be frequenting this cafe simply because I'm not a huge fan of sweet coffee drinks. It's also a little out of my way. Also, I wasn't very impressed with my order. If you're into coffee customization and quite a few drink options this cafe might be a good match.

I came twice. First time, got the sweet foam avalanche cold brew (white chocolate, mocha, mint)…read more Second visit, tried the teddy bar latte (caramel, white chocolate), half sugar. Similar vibe to Dunkin. Most of the drinks are very very sweet and I recommend asking to halve the syrup pumps or more to taste more of the coffee. I'm not a fan of flavoring the cold brew topped with sweet foam as opposed to Starbucks' unflavored cold brew topped with a flavored sweet cream (better balance). Service needs improvement. I almost got a breakfast sandwich with a plain bagel instead of everything bagel if I hadn't pointed it out to the employee. Apparently, there was a miscommunication between the cashier and kitchen. Employees were nice.

Get a free 12 oz of coffee here with any coffee beans purchase!…read more Rising Star Roasters is my destination for a strong cup of coffee. It's by far my favorite local coffee shop chain. I frequent this location inside Van Aken Market Hall. This coffee stand is located right as you walk into the main doors of the market hall. You'll need to go to the counter, order your food and/or drinks, and wait for the order to be called (typical coffee shop experience). Wait can be a little long during peak hours but it's worth it! You can then select various seating options inside the market or outside. Various options are available inside - comfy leather-like couches, leather-like booths, individual or group tables, and high tops. Outside you'll find tables immediately outside of the Van Aken Market Hall or seasonally on the lawn. If you stop by during the right times, you'll find the district bustling with music and seasonal events. It's also always a good idea to pick up a cup of coffee then go cowork at AO or browse the local shops. The menu at this and other locations is concise and simple. You can get brewed coffee, tea, espresso, lattes, and seasonal drinks. The menu is straightforward and not confusing. My morning go-to's are usually perfectly strong iced coffees. I also always pick up something from the specials menu. All specialty drinks are very well made and consistently prepared. I have never had any drinks here that disappointed me. Small batch snacks are available at this location such as croissants and tea biscuits. I sometimes purchase a snack here or patronize other vendors at the market. All coffee beans at Rising Star are top notch. I recently learned that they have a dedicated coffee buyer who travels to coffee farms and brings coffee back to Cleveland. They're also incredibly serious about their roasting process and have a local roastery. How amazing is that especially for a local coffee shop?! You can pick up beans at their location that are named after regions of where the coffee farms are located. Each coffee bean bag has taste notes listed on the bag, choose your adventure! Coffee bean bag prices vary from $16-19. They'll roast them for you and tailor to your coffee preparation method (i.e. coffee press). If you purchase coffee beans in store, you can get free 12 oz drip coffee! You can also order them online and they'll be roasted within 48 hours of shipping. I love to explore their coffees, get something new every time. I highly recommend this location for your coffee cravings! While you're here, look out for notNeutral coffee mug - sleek, 12 oz, and must have. In the words of Rising Star, "a laser-etched Rising Star emblem adds a subtle, sophisticated touch to the side of each piece."

The toast did have enough crab meat but was skimpy everywhere else and was zero % spicy! There were 2 skinny pieces of jalapenos but no extra drizzle of red chili oil or sriracha or anything. The melted cheese was good, but 1/2 slice of tomato, 1 thin piece of lettuce and like 4 strands of microgreens should not have been this pricey. It's fine for a light lunch but at this price I could've gotten a big bowl of authentic ramen with a bunch more ingredients! The latte was good but I wish there wasn't as much ice.
