Corned Beef Hash with 2 eggs, potatoes and Toast

Another visit to another Edwins and another homerun for Brandon Chrostowski. I hope you know the mission of the Edwins Institute so I will not go into the details about it here... So on to the bakery/diner experience - it is absolutely great! My daughter can't stop speaking how much she loved it here. When you come in, you are greeted by the counter with the the display of all freshly baked goodies (and they all look amazing). To the left is the library with some of the seating's and to the right is the diner itself (the diner itself is pretty small but library and butcher shop next door has some additional seats). The menu itself is full of all the great breakfast/brunch spots. My daughter ordered iced white mocha coffee, which they don't have on the menu but the individual behind the counter didn't blink and made it for her (great service, very typical of Edwins experience!). We tried 3 things on the menu: Corned Beef Hash (home-made corned beef, awesome! a bit of a miss that eggs were a bit overcooked and more carrots that I prefer), Crepes with strawberry and nutella, and egg sandwich on a croissant with smoke salmon. We also ordered Pain Au Chocolat and Lemon Curd to go. Everything was outstanding. Definitely coming back! P.S. When you are here, visit the butcher shop!!! Really neat as well

Great option for a breakfast/brunch. I got the basic breakfast that came with eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. It tasted really good. My only complaint was some of potatoes were undercooked, and some pieces were too hard to eat through. The flavor was on point though. Service was super attentive. I want to come back to try some of the baked items. They have a huge selection at the front.

No way food should have this much grease in/on it. It is obvious the potatoes were double or triple dipped because the were still dry inside despite all the oil and not even warm. the sandwich bread was oily as well. It used to be one of my favorite spots for breakfast, not anymore. The last few times there was no consistency in the meals. Get it together.

We did a bakery zoom over winter break to make Edwin's fudge brownies and they were great. It was such a fun event and then brownies were delicious.

Absolutely fantastic! The gentleman working was so kind and the pastries were PERFECTION! The raspberry danish was incredible. I tried the Pain au chocolat for the first time and if you are a fan of dark chocolate and a croissants... you need to give it a try! I can't wait to come back now that we found out that they have a breakfast menu! We also want to try some of their coffees, lattes, teas and hot chocolates! My only complaint would be that it was difficult to figure out where to park, but that definitely is not a deterrent for us.

Large place with bakery, deli, and some quiet study type areas in one big building. Limited hours e.g. Sunday only open from 10:30-1:30, but worth the trip. In the deli they sell all sorts of sauces, marinades, bacon, jerky, ribs, cheeses. They have a hot food menu. My pulled pork sandwich with cheese wasn't too expensive at $8. The bakery had a cretzel which is a croissant with some heterogenous pretzel dough and salt atop. It was pretty interesting and would have been great if paired with a savory sauce or even cinnamon butter. The lady working said the cookies were just out of the oven and were soft yet the chocolate chip cookie was absolutely burned on bottom and very hard to the point of tasteless crumb explosions with my attempted bites so I tossed it. The oatmeal raisin cookie was somewhat chewy in the middle but the edges were also hard and overcooked. The blueberry scone was more my style- very moist and not dry at all with a cake like texture and excellent real blueberry flavor. The cinnamon roll was the best by far. It was very soft and had genuine cinnamon roll and sweet frosting flavors. The pulled pork sandwich was fine although the pork was burned and kinda tough and lacking in sauce which would've rehydrated it. Bun was soft and lightly toasted. This place will be great if they turn the oven down :)

By far the best brunch place on the East side in Cleveland! Large portions that completely cover the plate, extremely attentive service, and delicious food. We had 4 people, sat down right away at 10:30am on a Sunday, and had eggs, pastries, coffee, etc. The culinary experience of Edwin's at an unbelievable cost. $60 for the entire meal (4 coffees, 4 entrees, a pastry).

Please - whatever you do, don't come here. Because I want this place all to myself! The Best Breakfast Place. Such a cute spot - bright and quaint- with the feel of Paris! Beautiful food at extremely reasonable prices. Breakfast sandwiches on authentic croissants! Fresh French pastries! Homemade breakfast meats from the Edwins butcher shop! And you can get all of the foods individually as sides, which gives you a lot of flexibility in choosing from among too many fantastic choices. And they takes reservations. Let's keep this gem a secret....

I stopped in today for a cup of morning coffee but walked away with my hands full. I got iced coffee which came in a smaller than I wanted cup. I also got mushroom latte which was perfectly spiced with cinnamon, and very smooth. I selected almond milk and feel like it paired well with the ingredients. Also I had to have some baked goodies after looking at the bakery case. I ordered croissant which honestly I found to be not fresh but still good. Apricot tea cake in the perfect world deserves its own paragraph. It was delicious, generously filled, and everything a tea cake should be. It's a must have! Service here is phenomenal! I mean top notch, attentive, and very genuine. There was only one employee serving the line but she did it with such a level of positivity that it made my morning. She asked if baked goodies needed to be warmed, asked about drink carriers, milk preferences, everything. She was consistently friendly with all customers. I really applaud this cafe on having such warm and friendly service. I wish more workers were in this morning to attend to the line but the service was incredible. As far as the cafe layout and amenities, here's the scoop. The cafe has wine, beer, coffee, and breakfast/lunch grab and go's. They have a coffee club where you get your own tumbler and you can join for $20. They also have plants for sale on a display much like Phoenix coffee. They also have a printer that you can use to print things. I don't know about you but I always feel like I need to print things. I mean it. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, was quiet when I was there and is somewhere you can really focus and do your most meaningful work. I also like the separation from the counter to the seating portion that makes it more secluded. I could totally see myself sitting here all day outside and enjoying the sunshine. Overall, if you have wine or caffeine needs, stop by this cafe. It's an unexpected gem of Larchmere. Order mushroom latte, it's a unique local find and is very tasty. Lastly, the cafe seems to have many regulars. One of the customers said "it's always a joy to be here" to cafe employee. That's exactly how it felt here - joyful.

Get a free 12 oz of coffee here with any coffee beans purchase!…read more Rising Star Roasters is my destination for a strong cup of coffee. It's by far my favorite local coffee shop chain. I frequent this location inside Van Aken Market Hall. This coffee stand is located right as you walk into the main doors of the market hall. You'll need to go to the counter, order your food and/or drinks, and wait for the order to be called (typical coffee shop experience). Wait can be a little long during peak hours but it's worth it! You can then select various seating options inside the market or outside. Various options are available inside - comfy leather-like couches, leather-like booths, individual or group tables, and high tops. Outside you'll find tables immediately outside of the Van Aken Market Hall or seasonally on the lawn. If you stop by during the right times, you'll find the district bustling with music and seasonal events. It's also always a good idea to pick up a cup of coffee then go cowork at AO or browse the local shops. The menu at this and other locations is concise and simple. You can get brewed coffee, tea, espresso, lattes, and seasonal drinks. The menu is straightforward and not confusing. My morning go-to's are usually perfectly strong iced coffees. I also always pick up something from the specials menu. All specialty drinks are very well made and consistently prepared. I have never had any drinks here that disappointed me. Small batch snacks are available at this location such as croissants and tea biscuits. I sometimes purchase a snack here or patronize other vendors at the market. All coffee beans at Rising Star are top notch. I recently learned that they have a dedicated coffee buyer who travels to coffee farms and brings coffee back to Cleveland. They're also incredibly serious about their roasting process and have a local roastery. How amazing is that especially for a local coffee shop?! You can pick up beans at their location that are named after regions of where the coffee farms are located. Each coffee bean bag has taste notes listed on the bag, choose your adventure! Coffee bean bag prices vary from $16-19. They'll roast them for you and tailor to your coffee preparation method (i.e. coffee press). If you purchase coffee beans in store, you can get free 12 oz drip coffee! You can also order them online and they'll be roasted within 48 hours of shipping. I love to explore their coffees, get something new every time. I highly recommend this location for your coffee cravings! While you're here, look out for notNeutral coffee mug - sleek, 12 oz, and must have. Tucked in Coventry neighborhood, there's Phoenix Coffee. The first thing you notice walking in is the vibe -- warm exposed brick walls, quirky and ever-changing local art (currently fairytale motif), and the smell of seriously strong, seriously good coffee. The Siren Eclipse art on the wall is alone worth the visit. And the scones? Unreal. Flaky, buttery, and somehow always fresh out of the oven. Really probably the best around. There's also other breakfast snacks like muffins and such. Very limited options but very tasty. Bonus points for the greenery -- the place doubles as a mini plant shop. There's a few leafy ones you can pick up. I got large drip coffee while I was there and it perfectly strong. There's two size options, light or dark roast. The menu also features some seasonal favorites. I had recently spring matcha there that was so vibrantly green. There's also a pretty extensive tea assortment. For warmer months, consider seating outside. They have very fun and aesthetically pleasing wooden benches. Street parking is available in the area but it gets busy. Try parking garage on the street to park. It's free to use.

For a discounted price of about $9, I came home with 4 delicious baked goods and a mini baguette about an hour before they closed for the day. Note: $9 is way less than what you will normally pay for these 5 items. They average around $4 each. I got a savory scone, a massive cookie, a mini baguette, an apple muffin, and a huge cinnamon roll. I ate the cinnamon roll nearly right away once I got home. The cinnamon roll with cream cheese ($6) was SOOOOO moist and decadent! I warmed it up for a few seconds and then enjoyed one of the best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The vanilla and cinnamon were very prominent. Definitely a calorie bomb though. I shared the other sweet treats with my sister the next day and we agreed that the next best item was the muffin. I should also mention that the staff member that helped me that afternoon was very nice and most likely the owner. He was very helpful in explaining what each item I got in my box was and also in helping me decide on a gift for a friend I was about to see soon. I bought my friend a box of locally made teas for about $14 and she loved them! I definitely hope to come back here soon (once I have worked off the pounds from this most recent visit haha)!
