There were 4 people in line, one register open, and 2 emoyees just shooting the breeze with each other right next to the checkout. While we all patiently waited, I could not believe these 2 were ignoring the situation. As a retired Retail manager (54 years), I'd never allow this in my store.

I liked it so well that I ordered an 8 by 10 identical rug (except for the size). I had to wait a couple of months to order for the larger size as it was not available until March of 13. I was a little disappointed when it came.The weave of the rug wasn't as tight as the first one and it seemed like a lot of yarns were finding their way out needing to be clipped.Obviously the quality was not the same as the smaller one. Today 7 months later, I regret having purchased the larger one. It looks like it is covered with fuzz like an old sweater from the 60's. The smaller one still looks top notch with no fuzz at all.

For example if you go to the Burlington or Natick Massachusetts stores the hungry designers will almost chase you out with torches & pitchforks. I have moved a lot because I'm a hobbyist flipper and that means I'm cheap but I buy a lot. What a pleasant surprise that the staff at the Bedford New Hampshire store let me treasure hunt and find this awesome chandelier!! The logistics manager Dean showed me that its paperwork shows that it used to be a display in the old, closed down Ethan Allen that is literally over the town line on the street I live on. I guess it wanted to come home. The designer Verlie was very nice to me and didn't make me feel like a scavenger for discount shopping. The Ethan Allen company could learn a lot from this location.

The negative, is that the prices mimic Boston. Specifically the seaport area. I mean say that they are very expensive. We recently moved from Chicago, and the prices here are as high as they are in downtown Chicago. I've attached some photos showing the store and items that are priced too high. I love that it's american-made, but that shouldn't mean a 20 to 40% premium over other options.

You can walk any of the higher end stores and everything looks perfect without a crease in a couch or a stain on a rug. How?!?! They have people that come in to maintain the products on a regular basis which none of us would have the luxury of doing once a purchase was in our home. Today we came in to look for a power recliner for my mother. Two ladies were working at the time and one of them greeted us. Her name was Christine Farris. Her interest level in working with us was marginal at best. Yet a couple came in she said she had a 4:00pm appointment with and we were an after thought. She was kissing their behinds looking to win their sale; apparently she thought their money was better than ours. At the end of the day we ordered a custom, leather recliner and they left without a decision to be made. Can't judge a book by its cover. All in all the quality of the furniture in here is superior to the other big box shops such as Bobs, Bernie & Phil's or Jordan's. Also feel that since it is a smaller company you have less red tape to deal with if you need to make a claim on it using an extended warranty. I hope to not find out.
