    Veg. Spring Rolls - FRESH

The food here was very very good. I would drive the hour to eat here again. We stopped in for the first time on the way home (CT) from seeing Jay-Z's exhibit in NYC. We took a chance on this place and it was EXCELLENT. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai (I added chicken too) but I cannot show a picture because I forgot. Yikes!! Trust me it was VERY good as well. The service was great and the place is very nice inside. I say stop by and check it out for yourself. Enjoy!!!

As I step into Bedford Thai, I just have to say, the place is absolutely stunning! Now, let's dive into the food. To be completely honest, I can't find a single fault with it. Every dish we tried was simply delightful. The service from the staff was great. Initially, I wasn't sure if our server was a bit annoyed that we arrived an hour after they opened up but he soon warmed up to us! Regardless, great food, beautiful environment and good service.

This is a beautiful spot located right in the heart of Stamford downtown between all the fancy restaurants. We ordered both the chicken pan fried dumplings and steam dumplings along with crab rangoons for starters. My friend ma enjoyed the soups too and heard they were great. For main course, we ordered drunken noodles, yellow curry with tofu (turned out an absolute favorite), the jungle curry and spicy friend rice. The food was great overall except the jungle curry was just too hot for someone who eats quite a lot of hot and spicy food. It was just added raw chili powder - which kind of hurts your taste buds. Don't forget to get the Thai iced coffee. It's one of my favorites from the dinner. Overall a great place to stop by again.

We came here as it was close to our hotel during a recent business trip but I am so glad we did!!!! The staff was courteous and polite. We ordered an order of the shrimp, chicken skewers and they were very delicious. A co worker of mine tried the thai tea and was in love with it. He had two! And continues to talk about it after being back in the office. I regret not ordering one but I was sipping on beer. This place also had wine as well as your usual imports. For my entree I ordered the green curry. It is listed as medium heat but it is not for the faint of heart. It has a slow burn and sits nice. If you are not used to spicy foods tread with caution. It was a pretty big portion so I took about more than half for a midnight snack and it was even better left over. I highly recommend this place and I will be back!!!!

Decent flavors but over cooked veggies in the Pad Thai

Not many decent Thai places in the area so while I have ordered from Bedford Thai on more than one occasion, it's still quite lacking. The pad Thai: flavors are there but everything is over cooked. The veggies are mushy and almost brown from being cooked too long. Husband likes the cashew chicken a lot though.

Came here for an early dinner and was told to pick any table we wanted. Service was friendly and the food came out quick. They never rushed us out and let us catch up. The food was fresh and yummy. I liked that it wasn't overly salted. The chicken pad see ew is larger than other Thai places I have been to and comes with plenty of meat. Good, reasonable price for the portion given. The restaurant is located along a cute street filled with eateries. Hard to spot if you aren't looking up at the awnings.

Very good Thai food downtown. Small, quaint restaurant with fast service. Prices were very reasonable & food was fresh! Great choice!

The Pad Thai here is always on point- packed full of tofu which was great. The steamed dumplings were delish- mine happened to arrive all torn but the taste was still great at least. I've only ordered delivery from here but this is def my go to Thai in the area

    Pad see ew

Had the vegetable pad see ew. Their version is less sweet and more garlicky than any of the versions I had before. Not necessarily a bad thing but not quite what I expected. I enjoyed it though since I love garlic. The quality was good and the noodles were fresh.

Food has no flavor. Red curry chicken, asked for spicy the sauce was, but the actual chicken had no taste. Won't order again

For anyone wondering about the name, it's pronounced "Me-uh Chah" (not "Mek-ah") and translates to "Mother and Father"--which feels fitting given how much more "soul" the food has lately. A few years back, I felt like they were missing the mark on the essentials, specifically the phở broth and the nước nắm. If you know Vietnamese food, you know those are the dealbreakers. The great news is they've clearly dialed in the recipes. I've been coming back regularly now because the flavors are finally hitting those traditional notes that are so hard to find in this part of Connecticut. My typical order: * Phở Gà (Chicken) * Phở Tái (Rare beef) * Phở Bò Viên (Beef meatballs) * Chả Giò (Fried spring rolls) -- Absolute must-order. They do have a lot of non-traditional stuff like Bao, Handrolls, and a solid Spicy Miso Ramen, and while those are actually very good, I usually stick to the Vietnamese classics since they're doing them so well now. The atmosphere is also worth mentioning. It has a really cool, organic vibe with tons of wood accents. The ceiling is covered in hundreds of 2x4s that hang down like a weeping willow canopy--it's unique and looks great in person. Pro-Tips: * Parking: Don't even bother trying to find a spot on Bedford Street; it's a nightmare. Park in the lot around the back and just use the pedestrian passage to walk through the building. * The App: If you're doing takeout, use their mobile app. It's a lifesaver on the weekends when the dining room gets slammed. So glad to have a reliable phở spot in downtown Stamford again!

The place is pretty small but wasn't crowded as there was only one other table dinning in during the time we were there. I'm really not a Chinese food fan, I agreed to come here because there were also Japanese items on the menu. To drink I got a bottle of cloudy sake. I ordered the money bags, even though it had no description. Money bags are a symbol of good luck and fortune, and are often eaten during special occasions, I got this to celebrate the New Lunar Year. I would compare this dumpling like fried appetizer to a spring roll, stuffed with similar ingredients plus pork. It was served with sweet and sour sauce. I also ordered the fried gyoza, I appreciated that the textured was actually crispy but the soy sauce it came with tasted like it was straight out of the container; they could have spiced it up with garlic or ginger or chives..etc. My coworker ordered the general tso. She traded me a piece of her chicken, it tasted good but those sauces are way too sweet for me, big reason why I'm not a fan, it's just not for me. At the end we were given a small plate of fruit with fortune cookies. What a nice surprise. The prices were very reasonable here. Probably the same price you would pay for fast food but better quality. If you like Chinese food, this is a good choice.
