I walked in to browse and was approached by Chris Callahan within a couple minutes. He was very informative, friendly and low pressure. I told him what kind of mattress I was looking for and he showed me a few options. It was also Labor Day weekend and I knew that all mattress stores were offering good deals. My intention wasn't to walk in and immediately buy since I had 1 more store on my list of 5 stores to go to. So Chris told me the price of the mattress I was lying on and said that the company that provided the power base was offering that free with the purchase of a mattress. Also pillows and mattress pads were half off. So I got a lot more than I expected for the price I payed. Chris made the transaction very simple and I appreciated that he wasn't the typical high pressure salesman that is expected in a retail store. Also, the delivery went off flawlessly. I was called in the morning with a two hour window and Jesse and Daniel was there in the early part of that window. They had it set up and demonstrated the power base within 15 minute. Great experience here! We came in with a budget and some questions about exactly what kind of bed would be best for our needs (he likes a rock-hard bed, I want to sleep on a cloud.) The associates at BedMart were very helpful and informative. When we told them our budget, which wasn't super high, they steered us to a few beds that would make the most of what we had to spend, and would be comfortable for us both. Then -- they left us alone for a few minutes. This is important! I can't stand trying to buy something with someone hovering over us, while we exchange glances trying to make sure we're on the same page. Just let us discuss for a minute! BedMart got that right. We were able to test things out, talk it over, and figure out exactly what we wanted -- then the associate came back and we were able to work with them a little on the price to get the deal we wanted. It was super easy, no high-pressure or upsell. We walked away feeling good about our purchase, and pleased with the bed we selected for the money we spent. Delivery was right on time, efficient and quick. Nice guys too. They commit to a 2 hour window so you aren't sitting around all day, and in our case they were at our front door about 15 minutes into the 2 hour window. AND the bed we got is made in Spokane, so I felt good about the "local" aspect too. (Ok Spokane isn't right around the corner, but local in that it's Pacific NW. I like it.) Shady business practices. Don't fall for the family business shtick and false promises. They advertise a 120 day guarantee that you will love it or can exchange it for a $100 fee. We bought a split king bed one extra firm and the other more plush. *Same brand *Same model *Same price *Only difference was the firmness level. At 1 month I asked to exchange my plush mattress for the same mattress in extra firm. I was told it would cost $400 plus $100 since the mattress was no longer "on sale"! My other option was to wait until Black Friday when it would be on sale again and a sales person would call me when it goes on sale....Yeah right. A heated exchange with the sales team ensued with me being accused of wanting a "sale price" that I was not entitled to. I wanted an even exchange! I didn't want to purchase a 3rd mattress or change brands! Calling the corporate office is a joke since it is very difficult to get a live person and the customer service person doesn't return multiple calls left on voice mail. I finally reached someone by punching in random extensions because I was so upset. She looked up my info and found the exchange had been set up without anyone communicating with me. If I hadn't talked to her they would have shown up on a day I likely wouldn't have been home since I didn't know about it! I spent almost $5k for the bed and base and they lost me trying to scam me out of $400 topped off with passive aggressive customer service. I was going to replace a guest room bed from Bedmart but after this fiasco, I ordered a Casper instead. read more

Being a big guy (6'10") I obviously needed a comfortable mattress. Sleep is super important to me and I didn't just want to go to huge corporate store where they didn't know much about their products. The BedMart team was very knowledgeable about all their products they offer and made sure I was well taken care of. It really makes a difference going to BedMart because they are locally and family owned and they care about putting their customers comfort first rather than just making a sale and pushing you out the door. Well. At first I found the sales person to be super friendly and helpful. It was the 4th of July. He could give us NO DEALS even though I know of a friend that got a deal on a tempur-pedic. He said tempur pedic never goes on sale. Then Hebput our information all wrong when he ordered our bed frame. Delivery had to be two different days. Then part of the bed frame wood came CRACKED! Who the hell delivers cracked furniture? The delivery guys were super messy. Left black marks on the white bed frame. Not okay. Third delivery to fix the crack we had to ask the delivery guys to wash their hands. One did. One didn't and left prints that needed cleaned up. Also there was black and sticky on the wood. And they walked away with our Allen wrench. We are waiting and taking up three days for this. Also we were extremely good sports and put up with damage to the wood and missing paint. Told them they did not have to replace the whole frame even though they automatically should have made this right. When you call the store they act like that's okay and to be expected. Super disappointed in the service. It's tempur pedic so the product is good. Bedmart was terrible. Do better. read more

Went to Bedmart Mattress in Beaverton & I didn't realized that there were too many types of beds, it took me forever to decide which bed is better for my back since I suffer from lower back pain. I had to exchange the original bed that I chose and end up replacing with the bed that Josh originally suggested. Josh was very helpful and knowledgeable and not to mention "very patient". I had a mattress that was a mere 5 years old and it was already sagging despite being rotated weekly (!!). I was literally tired of waking up with a back ache more often than not and desperately needed a new mattress/box set. I shopped some of the department stores at the mall and though I don't want the cheapest mattress out there, I couldn't come even close to affording the "Super Sale Price!" that was more than 2-3 months full salary. Ridiculous. I found myself at a BedMart in Tigard (Washington Square on Cascade) after looking at the beds at the furniture store next door. There, we were greeted by a friendly Joshua who smiled, introduced himself and let us know to call out if we had questions. ZERO PRESSURE sales tactic is VERY much appreciated, so he scored points from the get go. I found myself, like many others, confused about which bed I felt most comfortable in and was conflicted about price range versus comfort or long term reliability. He was ready to help when I did have questions (I had many) and hung back when we were in conversation or moved about to look at other models. We spent some good time comparing many models and I settled on a mid range mattress with the "Euro" pillow top. Joshua was very helpful explaining the warranty (10 years, all years fully vested), also explaining delivery options and payment options. We ended up putting a deposit down with the understanding that it was fully refundable. Within a week, we'd paid for the set, mattress protector, delivery fee (and $10 haul away/disposition of old mattress fee - *extremely reasonable* - garbage service will charge more like $30 a piece!). Delivery was very much on time, very professional, quick and easy. Friendly delivery employees (Sorry, I didn't catch their names. Delivered on the morning of Thursday, Aug 18). First night was different than I expected..the floor model felt softer than my new mattress. I returned to BedMart this morning and spoke with the employee (I'm sorry, I can't recall his name -- he was there at 10 am Aug 19, 2016)....he assured me that this happens often and all new mattresses have a "break in" period. He told me to please return again if I didn't feel differently about it in 3 weeks (upon reading online, I've read anywhere from 2-8 weeks are normal for a "break in" period). I have a 90 day trial period so I'm confident that even if this mattress does not "break in" during that period, I can always exchange this mattress for I believe a $100 fee = all very reasonable. I felt reassured by this employee. Overall, I found BedMart to be a very pleasant buying experience...some furniture stores will train their employees to follow you around or pressure you into buying something that you many not be able to afford. Not so at BedMart. Very much NO pressure, NO intimidation (as in, some sales people will treat customer like he/she doesn't really know what they want), and an easy, easy process. Also, the pricing is very reasonable -- I wouldn't say it's cheap, but you don't really want to go "cheap" on something as important as your mattress set...tho, they do carry very inexpensive models for the consumer who is on a very tight budget. We spend a good percentage of our lives in bed -- you want to be comfortable, supported and rested to put your best face forward every day. The warranty was a big motivator to settle with this set (and I can't say enough how comfortable this 90 day "Love it or leave it" period makes me!). Most of all, out of the 3 employees I encountered during this sale, I felt all of them were super friendly, helpful and accommodating.
