Course is decent, greens are fast and clean. Poorly managed. Not with the times. Maybe a dead weekday would be better.

Mind you it was my wife and I, last slot on a Saturday... aside from that the property is beautiful at least for us having little experience with many courses. Looking for a place to call home close to home this would have otherwise been a slam dunk if it wasn't for the rude tone by the woman who behaved as if she owned it. Assuming she does. Based on other reviews it seems like a reoccurring theme. Will give it another shot... maybe just a bad day for them. Hope so..

My family hosted a charity golf tournament for a family member who passed away. What was supposed to be an event for family and friends to gather and to donate and play for a good cause turned into a nightmare. As the golfers were trying to play, the owners who tossed out any sort of business etiquette and customer service skills from Business 101 out the window and replaced it with rage and bitterness as big as a tsunami, haunted and harassed them throughout the whole course. The female owner verbally attacked multiple people, however her main focus of the day was on my father and my brother. She judged the group for not being experienced enough at the beginning, and told them they could not be with other groups mingling. When my father responded respectfully with an "ok", she rudely and angrily responded with "Ok?! What do you mean ok??" And when she learned that his sons were also playing, she harassed them as well. The male owner was equally as unpleasant, and at one point said "I'll go get the calvary" when he felt like he was being opposed. It got to the point where my father was yelling back at her (which is out of character for him), and then when he couldn't take it anymore he had to leave the event early. She also raged at my brother to the point where he was also angered, which is also out of character for him. It's like she gets off to behaving like this and pissing people off. My poor grandfather, who was playing with them, is elderly, and is battling a disease, had to witness all of this on his first day of golfing in almost 3 years. These owners are vile human beings, who lack respect and etiquette and will push you over the edge to get whatever they want. Since they do not care if they get any business from people or not, as they told my aunt who was the organizer of the event when she told them she wasn't happy about how they were treating people, neither should you. Other things to note: The male owner took food from the event buffet, as if he was obligated to it and was a participant in the event, and when my other aunt was reading an emotional speech in honor of my family member, customers at the bar were telling them to "quiet down" and "shut the "f*ck up", causing more people at the event to be upset. I'm repeating this again if you missed it above - DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS, the owners do not care about you, your patronage or your sanity.

Its buried in the woods in my home town of South Hadley, MA. The course is private, so you'll need to know a member to get on. Its fairly expensive even if you do. If you end up playing here, though, you'll be treated to one of the best 18 holes you can play in Massachusetts. This course is very well maintained, and very challenging. There are almost no holes that you can survive with an innacurate tee shot. The course itself is very long, and has difficult shots around its very protected greens. The course was designed by Donald Ross, and you can see some of his trademark elements still in the design. If you' have enough money to become a member here, I would seriously consider it.

We had the bridal suite in the morning with complimentary breakfast and my make up and hair stylists were impressed with how much space and natural light we had. Our ceremony space outside was beautiful and Scott and Ann ensured we started relatively on time. We were given two golf carts to go around and take photos whereever we pleased on the beautiful grounds. Many people have told us how delicious the food at the cocktail hour was and once we finished photos, we were given our own sampler platter and a drink to great us. There was one snafu with an outside bakery never delivering our cake, but Ann figured it out with the help of my bridesmaids and we still had a beautiful cake to cut. Dinner was delicious, cookies were wonderful, and the pizzas at the end were definitely appreciated. The next morning all my decorations were packaged and ready for pick up. I am so so thankful for Nashua Country Club for helping me have the wedding of my dreams!

I shall be meeting soon with Janelle to plan for a medium sized group, and perhaps later in the year another larger group. The manager, Scott Hobson is excellent at his job. (Lennon and McCartney) I attended a charitable organization's golf outing on Tuesday and had a very enjoyable afternoon. No, I don't play golf except for a round of mini a few times a year. Blackstone cooked a simple dinner for our 100+ guests. It was a nice "make your own sandwich" version with burger patties, hot dogs, chicken and sausages paired with platters of cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, rolls and potato salad. The price of 68 with a cart and unlimited (really worn out and tired) range balls off grass included with greens fees. I never see public courses in CT have grass ranges. They layout wasn't bad. The front 9 was a little tight. Whoever designed the course had to be creative with the landscape. The course was very hilly which I don't mind. Some memorable par 3's. The greens required very accurate approach shots. Most misses were short as approach shots that were right left or long usually required a difficult chip up a slope or ended up in the woods. The bad: Unfortunately when I played on 5/15 (normally a great time of year for growing grass) the fairways were in rough shape with bare spots lots of spots that could have been considered ground under repair. The greens were slow and in rough shape as well. Of all my putts I would be hard pressed to remember one that rolled well. Most putts were bouncing around from the start. Not a waking course at all. In fact they wouldn't let you walk even if you wanted to. I guess this helps with pace of play given some of the longer walks in between holes and the hilly landscape. Overall: Considering the conditions of the course especially the greens, pace of play and layout I would say this course was average at best. Not terrible for the price. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to play here again. If the greens were grass covered, cut and rolled and the fairways were in better condition that might be a different story. The course does have potential.
