I was stuck this morning in the middle of a busy intersection. Not fun at all. Rodney showed up like some type of superhero. Backed that truck up in the middle of the intersection I pulled my Rivian up like it was his job. Which, I think it is his job. We called 4 different towing services. They were all 2-3 hours out. I had an appointment at 9:20 AM, so I made sure to call at 7 AM to give them enough time to get to me to tow my car. They gave me an ETA of 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, they tacked on another 60 minutes. At this point, I called, and they said a customer they were helping gave them a wrong address, so they had to redirect, but are on their way and would be here in 20-30 minutes. A full 3 hours later, they tell me they're "on the way". They continue to string me along with updates of being "on the way" and that they're refueling the truck in a nearby city and will be here soon. They didn't show up until almost 4 hours later. Half of my work day is wasted because they didn't have the courtesy to set reasonable expectations or give me a more accurate ETA. I've been in a rental for about a month and at one of my jobs I need to park in a structure. Rodney deserve a raise! So, we have an eight year old Tesla and the front 12v battery decided to die in a restaurant parking lot. Partially my fault because I parked too close to the bamboo fence and the sensors went crazy while we were eating. Rodney came to the rescue after I called roadside assistance from Tesla (first towing company was a no show, and they sent Rodney to the wrong city first). He calmed down my husband too, which I never had a chance to thank him for. He took care of our problem in less then 15 minutes and we were on our way home short after. I had a dead battery so I called Subaru roadside assistance for help. Jason from Bee Line Towing showed up and we had a heck of a time getting my battery to charge. I wouldn't let him leave without my car starting so I went and borrowed jumper cables from my neighbor as he only had a portable charger.
