Decided to give Beef snd Sea a try. Interior was nice and well lit. Seashore theme. They have a mix of food from seafood to BBQ to roast beef. We tried a shrimp roll, clam boat, open faced roast beef and nachos. The most disappointing was the shrimp roll. 4 pieces of shrimp on a roll. Nothing else. The lettuce was all over the plate. 4 shrimp on a plain roll for $14? Was more kid meal size than adult. Really dissatisfied. Clam boat was good. Liked the whole belly clams. They were tasty. There were about 8 of them. Was hoping to share this and sandwich. Although good I was hoping for more for $17. Open faced roast beef was good. Roast beef was nicely cooked and was a good amount. Last dish was nachos. They were big. All the chips were solidified together at the bottom with the cheese. Like old school cheese melted in the microwave on the chips. The ground beef was plentiful and the salsa with it was good. Good size app that you could share or have as a meal. But nothing over the top flavor wise. Overall I left hungry after paying over $70 for 4 people. Not sure I would head back with so many other choices in the area.

First time here. Nice little place decorated nicely. Felt a little rushed by the server to order. Not crazy about having to say everything I want on my meal to me should be complete when you order. Only can beer is served not a big fan of can beer when dining out. Stated with potato skins half portion which was a big serving. They were crispy and good. An average potato skin nothing special. Got the clam sandwich which was good. Came with onion rings which were void of any flavor and under cooked. The place is ok. Will I be back prob not.

This is a newer casual style, friendly, affordable restaurant that offers a variety of food but mostly sandwiches such as real roast beef and fried seafood. If you are familiar with Kelly's ( from Mass. ) it is similar but has more choices and better priced and family owned!! We met the owner who works as a server among other things and she shared that her and her family started this restaurant because they missed fresh fried clams etc from Maine I believe. The roast beef sandwich was very good and the fried clam platter with onion rings was delicious. We shared and the check was $40. It was plenty of food. The service was excellent. Restaurant clean! And food delicious! I highly recommend. They sell beer and wine and have a nice menu with many choices!! I encourage you to try them!!

We enjoyed quite a few north shore beef sandwiches outside of Boston, so we had to hit this north shore spot for a beef outside of Brandon. This is the wicked poundah. It had 1lb of roast beef along with James river bbq, mayo, and American cheese on an onion roll. I threw some horseradish and onion rings on mine because why not. Very filling and quite satisfying

Beef & Sea at Winthrop Town Center in Riverview

It's a new family owned restaurant that has brought a bit of New England to the Winthrop Town Centre in Riverview. I initially didn't know what to expect. I'd never had a North Shore roast beef sandwich. So, I played it safe and ordered the French Dip sandwich. It was actually very good. I thought the roast beef was pretty legit. The roast beef was thinly sliced, pink, and very tender. Just the way I like it. Per the menu, it comes from a top round beef that is roasted in house. It definitely didn't taste like deli processed meat. It was the real deal. It was all about the natural beef flavor on this sandwich. The au jus was served warm, and wasn't overly salted. It was a good sandwich for the price. The roast beef wasn't stacked high. It was a good amount in my opinion. Now, what I thought was unique is that they also serve fresh roast beef sandwiches (North Shore) with James River BBQ sauce. I was given a sample of the sauce to try. Yes, the staff is very helpful. Listen to them. They have great suggestions. I would never had known how it tasted if it wasn't for the staff. It was very tasty with the roast beef, but my preference was to use it as a dipping sauce with the onion rings. It's zesty, savory, and peppery with a mild kick of heat. The house made onion rings were also pretty good. I gladly paid the extra $1.50 to substitute the fries with the rings, and I'd do it again. I also couldn't leave there without trying the fried whole belly clams. Fortunately, you can get a half pint side of fried shrimp, clams, or scallops to go along with your sandwich. These clams are absolutely delicious! I liked them so much that I ordered them again on my second visit. Only this time I got the combo platter, and included the fried scallops. The lightly breaded scallops reminded me of the old Branch Ranch in Plant City. That's totally a good thing. I really liked their fried seafood. Yes, I'll return for more seafood, onion rings, and roast beef. They do have other offerings as well as a few salads. The nitpicky side of me is thinking that they should eventually add more veggie sides on the menu. It's a new business, so I'm sure they're open to a few suggestions. They serve beer & wine at the moment until their liquor license is approved. Other than that, it's just great to have such a cool addition to Winthrop. Yay!

Walking into the place you have a clean welcoming environment. They serve beer and wine at this establishment. Server seemed very friendly not rushing you at all recommend items. The sandwich was not packed very high but was perfect for a lunch. It was warm with some nice red color to it and was very tasty. Will definitely be going back next time in the area for another beef and to have their bellied clams with onion rings!

The roast beef sandwich is now my all-time favorite. I ordered the big beef (8oz) with barbecue and horseradish sauce on the side. It's cooked to medium rare perfectly. This beef is so tender. You might think it's filet mignon. Served on a toasted onion roll. Owner Dan and his family are so friendly and welcoming to all new and returning customers, The beef is similar to buffalo's beef on Weck only different buns and outstanding beef. I was so happy and full. They offer seafood and other entrées like hot open faced turkey. It's located in a strip mall. I sat at the bar and it's a really cool layout. I can't wait to revisit with a group. Put this on your restaurant wish list. The service is professional and friendly.

Fist timer here as I realized this wasn't a meat market but a beef and seafood restaurant. This is a family owned restaurant that's rooted with New England style food. The food was so good I forgot to take a photo of my seafood combination of fish and shrimp lol. Debbie who was my waitress was awesome and the service was amazing. Debbie will take great care of you. Overall the staff was amazing and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. The inside was clean and had great decor that reminds you of being on the fishing docks. I would highly recommend this place and. Ext time I will try their beef menu. They cater to everyone food palate from burgers to seafood and other specialty sandwiches. Oh and don't forget to try their desserts. I didn't forget to take photo of that. lol.Correction key lime had raspberry sauce not strawberry. Yummy!

Nice and very clean upon entering. Very good first impression. Very tidy and nice inside. Another plus for me is the outside seating they have. Unfortunately it was a little gloomy today but next time for sure. Now on to the food. The roast beef on the sandwich I got was plentiful when it comes to the amount of roast beef they put on it! Very tender and perfectly cooked! I got it with cheese (which I could have done without) but the James river bbq sauce they use for the sandwich was pretty good! The fried scallops were a solid 8/10 batter mix maybe could have used a bit more seasoning but the cocktail sauce was amazing here! But one thing for sure is the staff was very friendly and helpful on suggestions!

Well they are new so I'm gonna give some credit where it's do and point out what's not yet up to par. The interior and outside patio are very nice and really clean. Large open seating area comfortable tables. The servers are friendly and attentive (one point we were the only ones in the restaurant at 5:00 pm, for a while). They have a small bar with wine and beer offerings and coke products. Nice menu lots of beef choices and not as big fish menu but enough. The beef au jus sandwich was good the beef somewhat dry but that's what the sauce is for. The rave about their homemade onion rings, hand cut and battered. Well these were that but soggy and cold with the batter falling off. The combo fish platter, scallops and belly clams were good, the scallops nice and hot the clams so,so. The potatoes were the interior of the potato skins they serve so basically home fries but again served Luke warm and no crunch to them. I'd say the meal was ok at best but could have been done better. Our original server was told of the issues her comment was I'll inform the kitchen. Someone came by later and at least offered a new order of rings which we declined. Hopefully they improve since we were the lone diners at the time I'd not like to see how things are served when they're busy.

Came in once again today to pick up some lunch, bit of a busy lunch with a table of around 12 people who ordered at once, as well as some others who dined outside. Not my place to completely say, but will say I saw a few orders got mixed up for that larger table, but seemed to be fixed quickly- people overall seemed satisfied and content with the food & service regardless. Definitely a family feel to it, from customer service to presentation. Ordered a large portion of wings, fries and a shrimp roll to go- told me it'd be a bit of a wait, i looked over and told them not to worry about it. Even with the volume, it was barely about a 15-20 minute overall wait for my food, even with the chicken taking some extra time! Getting home and eating it now- quality's still as good as before! Shrimp was fried fresh, fries and wings were crisp- forgot my mild buffalo sauce, but things happen! Still worth a visit and a try!

    Whole belly fried clams

Just opened today. Family run business. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and seafood. It' was nice that that they had whole belly fried clams. Not many places have those. I tried the 1/2 pint of fried clams and they were hot and delicious.

(I am missing the items we ordered, so I'll have to come back here and add them later, but all that matters is four people had completely different entrées, and we were all very pleased.) How pleased were we? So pleased that, a mere 7 days later, we're about to drive 1.25 hours to have another meal there, this time with our extended family of 14. The host greeted this warmly and had us promptly seated. Our server, Danielle, was magnificent! She attended to us very well providing excellent recommendations. I also want to give a shout out to the fellow who came and prepared my pasta carbonara tableside. (Alas, I will have to come back and put his name in because I don't have it handy at the moment.)

One of the main ingredients in this cheesy skillet of goodness is pepperoni. My husband asked that the chef leave that ingredient out of the recipe due to my recipe allergy reaction. The waiter did a commendable job communicating to the kitchen about my dietary needs. Unfortunately, our dip came off with pepperoni and I nearly devoured it down. The waiter was super apologetic and wrapped it a carry home container and reordered a new one. We were so full from the soft, tasty bread, that we didn't touch the appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the most divine homemade pasta and beef rib dish. Whoever was back there cooking the dish, you have amazing taste, talent, and skill. My husband ordered the stuffed shrimp and beef fat potatoes. The shrimp were jumbo and filled with a hearty breading that was packed with flavor. The potatoes were rich in flavor and had a buttery texture. He would definitely order this dish again! Our server went out of his way to refill our drinks and attend to everything we were requesting. As a bonus, he ordered two pistachio and chocolate chips on his tab for the dilemma we encountered with the appetizer. I thought that it was a genuine gesture. You don't see that happening much anymore. When our cannolis arrived, I was pumped trying one of my favorite desserts Due to full bellies, we brought the dessert home. When I tried the cannolis at home I unpleasantly surprised at the taste. The cannoli cream was virtually absent of flavor, smoothness, and mascarpone. It is unclear what the my replaced it with for the fillings Overall, our experience was great! We will definitely make an appearance again!

Alright, folks, gather 'round as I, a lifelong Valrico local, spin a heartfelt yarn about Willie's…read moreSeafood at 1912 Main Street, the place that's been the heartbeat of my life since I was a kid. Born and raised right here in Valrico, Florida, I was brought to Willie's by my granddad, who called it his favorite spot in town. It's been a constant through every chapter of my life--birthdays, heartbreaks, and everything in between. This five-star review is a love letter to Willie's, a seafood haven that's served up memories as rich as their fried catfish and kept me comin' back for decades. From the time I could barely see over the table, Granddad would lead me through Willie's doors, his calloused hand in mine, promisin' the best meal in town. The place felt like a second home--still does. The cozy, weathered interior, with its wooden walls covered in fishing nets, old photos of Valrico's early days, and mounted fish, wraps you in a warm hug of nostalgia. The jukebox in the corner hums old country tunes, and the checkered tablecloths remind me of Granddad's stories about fishin' in the Gulf. He'd sit me down, order a basket of fried shrimp and hush puppies, and tell me, "this here's real Florida eatin'." That first bite of crispy, golden shrimp, dipped in tangy cocktail sauce, was like tastin' the ocean itself--fresh, simple, and perfect. Willie's menu is a love song to seafood, and I've loved every note since I was a kid. Their fried catfish, a Granddad favorite, is still the gold standard--flaky, moist, with a cornmeal crust so crisp it crunches like autumn leaves. The all-you-can-eat nights--catfish, shrimp, haddock, and clam strips on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays--are a tradition I've kept alive, especially now with my own kids. The gator bites, spicy and tender, are a thrill I discovered as a teenager, sneakin' bites off Granddad's plate. Their blackened mahi-mahi, served with creamy grits, is a nod to Florida's coastal soul, with a spice kick that wakes you right up. Even the sides--coleslaw cool as a summer breeze, hush puppies golden and sweet--feel like they were made with love. And don't get me started on the key lime pie; it's tart, creamy perfection that Granddad always saved room for, claimin' it was "better'n any dessert in Tampa." After he passed, I'd sit at our usual table, order his favorite catfish dinner, and feel him right there with me. Now, I bring my family, watchin' my daughter giggle over her popcorn shrimp, just like I did. The staff, some of whom have been here since I was young, treat you like kin. They'd slip me extra hush puppies as a kid, and now they know my order by heart--fried shrimp, fries, and a sweet tea, just like Granddad's. The place ain't fancy, but that's the charm. It's a family-owned gem, run by folks who've been at it since the '70s, and it shows in every bite. The prices are fair--$15.99 for a catfish filet with sides feels like a steal for the quality. The service is quick, even when the place is packed with locals like me, all drawn by the same comfort and flavor. Sure, some might say it's a bit old-school, but that's what makes it special. It's not tryin' to be a chain or a tourist trap--it's just Willie's, servin' up seafood that tastes like home. I've lived in Valrico my whole life, and Willie's has been there for every milestone--first dates, graduations, even quiet nights when I just needed a taste of the past. It's where I learned to love seafood, where Granddad's stories came alive, and where I still feel him every time I walk in. The food, the warmth, the memories--they're all part of me. Willie's Seafood is a five-star treasure, a place that's fed my body and soul for decades. I'll keep comin' back, bringin' my kids and someday their kids, to keep Granddad's favorite spot alive in our hearts.
