My mom and I went to Mr. B's Café during the week for lunch. There were only a couple other customers inside. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and spacious it was inside since it looks like such a small restaurant from the outside. We were also immediately greeted and had great service throughout our lunch. I had the fried catfish, yams and collard greens and sweet potato cheesecake for dessert. My mom had the fried grouper, yams and collard greens and peach cobbler for dessert. She also had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. We both agreed that the food was good overall although it seems like the food could've been a little bit seasoned to really get the most out of the food. I would be open to returning to try their breakfast options.

Glad we took that drive to Mr. B's off Nebraska... the vibe was giving comfort & community. Aesthetically pleasing, cute decor, and everyone was so warm. Our waiter? Sweet as honey. The owner? A whole vibe. We'll definitely be back. But baby... that plate? That smothered pork chop took me all the way back to my childhood, with my grandfather asking, "gravy or nah?" It looked like a Sunday plate from Big Mama's kitchen. Flavor on flavor on love.

The southern soulfood here will certainly nourish you, it does for me especially MrB's chicken and waffles!!! I stopped in yesterday had time to make it for there special Red Velvet chicken and waffle! What a pure delight, the fullness of the waffle with the hot honey chicken tenders was delicious. (I'd buy two plates if you like leftovers) haha The waffles not flat but fluffed the chickens crispy and seasoned perfectly the flavor translates so nicely with their hot honey sauce! &' you will get the southern comfort hospitality each visit just like I have (: Fast Fresh and deliciously sweet food. Thank you for another plate MrB's! don't forget to try their honey cornbread

Mac & Cheese wasn't my favorite but everything else was great!

I visited Mr. B's for the first time when I was having a particularly bad day and coming here honestly filled my spirit, not only because of the yummy food but because of the old school gospel they have playing! Definitely filled my spirit and my tummy! The staff was helpful and polite and the decor and atmosphere made me feel like I was visiting grandma's house after church on Sunday. Everything tasted great so don't pass this one up!

Mr. B's is awesome! The staff at Mt. B's is welcoming, helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere is joyful because all of the employees are pleasant. I enjoyed the"Bee"licious food like chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, collard greens and some cheesy mac n cheese. I even enjoyed sweet tea, Overall I enjoyed Mr. B.'s and can't wait to return and also try some desserts.

Came to Tampa for the Eagles vs Bucs game and found Mr. B's while searching for a Black-owned spot -- and I'm so glad I did. The service was on point and the food was even better. The cauliflower was fried up perfectly crunchy, the cornbread was soft, warm, and just the right amount of sweet, and the raspberry lemonade had that perfect balance -- sweet but not so much that it takes you into a sugar overload. And let me tell you, Mr. B's French toast? Thick, fluffy, and top tier. Not sure when I'll be back in Tampa, but whenever I do, Mr. B's is definitely on the list.

This is my favorite Restaurant here in the Tampa area. The food was seasoned perfectly and the waitstaff paid attention to our needs.

Waiting in line was kinda fun because they have a few things to look at such as their roaster where they make their own beans which is pretty cool. Ordered the strawberry matcha and honey shaken espresso. The matcha is super good and it definitely makes my list of matcha places. The coffee was good but since there were three shots, my husband drank it cause it was too strong for me. Also got the breakfast sandwich was was a bit spicy but SO GOOD!! It's got a lot of flavor! They allow cute doggos in the place so it's fun seeing them come in lol Parking is not the best as you either park in the garage or the one directly across from sparkman which is paid so expect to add that in your coffee trip. Overall they were flavorful. One of the times I feel they didn't make it right and it was bitter and not enough milk. That's one of the 5 or so coffees I had here. Then I had one almond croissant and one baklava croissant. I'd say the baklava once was great with the flavor seemed to be baked in. The almond one was also fine but had more evident paste spread on it.

Place is nice - having both indoor and outdoor seating We went around lunch and place was busy - many are college students studying Must try their honeycomb and rose milk cake. You feel like you're on vacation in the large, well appointed space. You can work, scroll, dine, sip or just chill out and scroll at one of the many high tops, tables or couches inside. There's also a large, sunken courtyard outside (right next door, a few steps down. I love the look and location of it.) I'll return to test out all the seating options and report back. But back to this first visit: I couldn't find a menu online ahead of time, so I walked in with a blank slate. They had a menu next to the case full of desserts. I settled on a Yemeni-style hot chai tea and a divine pistachio pastry, with so many flaky layers, sweet honey and a delicate pistachio flavor. I also chose a high top by the window, to enjoy them both. It's such a great environment in here-busy and bubbly but not loud. I can't wait to soak that up-with a different tea and sweet treat. The trip back will be easy. Qamaria is at the corner of 56th Street and Fowler in Temple Terrace, in a brick strip mall... with a huge parking lot, leafy shade trees at one end and lots of other middle eastern delights to try out, in that same plaza. Prices seemed fair, service was fast and it was very clean. Looking forward to grabbing one of the colorful cushioned seats for a reset, soon. Cheers!

All the food and drinks are absolutely delicious…read more I didn't realize they have a different menu on the weekends than they do on a weekday. I've been looking at weekday menus, so I inadvertently brought us on the weekend when the menu was different and didn't have things my kids would eat. However, my husband and I really enjoyed the food. I tried a Matcha latte with oat milk and Ube cold foam. It is amazing, no notes. I would get it every single time. We also tried their soup, dumplings, steamed chicken dumplings, pickled vegetable side, pork bun, and shrimp and pork bun. I can't eat the buns since I don't eat pork, but everything else was amazing. One of my sons did end up choosing a chocolate croissant so I tried a little and it was very good as well. This isn't your grocery store croissant. It was buttery and flaky with a good amount of chocolate. Inside is filled with eclectic decor, and you can purchase the art on the wall. Everyone who worked here was very friendly. They have a small parking lot out front, but this place isn't around a ton of other things so I would assume parking is no problem. If I lived closer, I would come back for the Matcha latte alone. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

It's busy, but the skilled baristas keep things moving. On this most recent trip, I tried the ube matcha-my first. I liked it! There were lots of tempting pastries, etc-but I had a lunch date coming up, so I stuck to just the beverage. If you decide to stop in, bonus: this business shares space with a fun kitchen store that has everything from gourmet salts and oils-fun towels and mugs-and all sorts of other items. I should have bought the cola flavored candy bar. Next time! Yes, the parking lot is a little hectic-but be patient, it comes and goes in waves-you'll get a spot. Oh! And really nice restrooms.
