Update - new owners took over this summer, guys from Ridgewood who are looking to "upscale" the place. It's still a fine place for a glass of wine, but definitely less of a neighborhood vibe. Running a bar, even a wine bar, and creating a welcoming environment for regulars is different than running a liquor store. People want to get a drink and relax. They don't want to feel like they are being nickeled and dimed. But maybe they will learn as they go along. The $35 glass of wine they put on the menu didn't last long. This place is amazing! They have so many beers and wines and different options to choose from. If you are looking to hangout and relax they have a bar with awesome beers on tap and wine by the glass. They offer tons of board games to keep you entertained and have some great music. They also have a juke box if you have a strong music preference. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. If you're not sure what you're in the mood to drink ask them and they are glad to direct you. If you are hungry thy even deliver from next door! (The pizza place Frank's which is also AMAZING.) if you're in the area and not sure where to go with a group of friends this is the spot! The prices are average nothing crazy. It's very spacious inside so you don't have to worry about crazy crowds. They also offer wine tastings and have occasional events. read more

Found this place on yelp unexpectedly while in the area. Couldn't actually find it because the sign above the store says something about wine. Anyway you walk in, there is wine, and on the left side is a huge fridge of beer, in front of you is a bar and a good amount of tables. There was a good selection of beer on tap. Lots of options. Board games. Food too. I didn't try any of the food but the portion size from what I could see was a good size and also smelled delicious! There was an option to select any beer(s) to make your own 6 pack which I enjoyed. I had a really good time. I think most of the people that were at the bar are regulars. My friend and I waited a bit before the bartender asked us what we wanted. Then when my friend went back for another drink he waited 10 mins. The bartender even walked past him so it was a bit annoying but we did enjoy ourselves and the prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was good. Id definitely go back! read more

I would love to support this cute, quaint, local place with craft beers on tap and an even better selection of craft bottles to take home. I really would. But I've eaten there twice now and was underwhelmed to say the least both times. The food is just really not good, bland and tough. I had the tots both times and they were overcooked both times - how hard is it to make decent tater tots?! My sandwiches have always been tasteless with bread that's extremely tough to chew. The menu is ambitious and exciting; if only the chef could actually prepare the food well, this place could be awesome. read more

Have only been here a few times and usually experience good things. Most of the crew that works here is nice and knowledgeable but some of them are questionable. There is a little seating area in the back where you can get drinks which is fun if you can grab a seat, i hope they add a small food menu soon. You can order from Frank's pizza located next store though and eat in the shop. read more

Nice cozy little bar with a friendly staff and nice older crowd. Great ever changing selection of beers and whiskeys. The only issue is that the small bar area fills up quickly. There is an excellent bottled beer selection where you can either fill up a 6 pack or bring one up to the bar. read more

I would have given a better review if we had been able to eat. We stopped in on Friday November 10th for lunch. We were going to be a party of 5. For some arcane reason they didn't schedule a cook for lunch that day. I would advise people to call ahead to make sure they have the right staff on duty. We will try it again but I will call first. read more

Bar none (no pun intended) best selection of craft beer. Came here by accident 3 years ago and have been a fan ever since. John and the staff are incredible and are very attentive to every detail of what they are serving and who they are serving. Food is incredible and grown from your simple chicken wings (which are great!) to a Cuban Sandwich that would have make you believe it was flown in from Miami. read more

If you are into random wine bars with great karaoke, come here. It is TINY. Come early or Come late. Loved hanging here by myself to try some new wine or a new beer. That being said, don't come with a group or expecting it to be like an actual bar....it's in the back of a wine shop. My advice is this, leave Thatchers, and come here. Better scene. read more

For a lover of craft beer this is the spot!! Many local breweries & what a selection as well- it's always a pleasure to go grab a few single since there is always something new.
