    Tater tots
    Beatrice P.

I think people love this place solely on the fact that it has been around for so long. I did walk in close to closing, (unbeknownst to me at the time, they close at 3) so that might have played a part in the lack of friendliness. A side note that I very rarely mention, the bathroom was less than pleasant. It is outside of the restaurant like an old-school gas station. It smelled bad and had no ac so it was the same temperature as the outside (which was 98°). The tater tots were the same as what you would get from the frozen food section of your grocery store. The beef sandwich was on a cheap bun that was somewhat mushed. The beef lacked flavor and any seasoning Ang their horse radish sauce had no real taste of horseradish to speak of.

If you live in Orlando you probably know this spot on Bumby near The Milk District. Simple food at simple prices done well. Ive eaten here a bunch and it's been the same experience every time. Specialty here is sandwiches and tots and to be honest I'm not even sure what else they have b/c this is all Ive ever gotten here. Food comes out hot and fast even during lunch rush. Always steady and dependable. This is a great lunch spot, recommended!

Truly 4.5 stars. The roast beef was delicious but could use a little seasoning. I salted/peppered plus added bbq sauce. The bun was soft and the tater tots were hot and crispy. Counter service was polite and quick. The restaurant interior was like an old fashioned fast food joint which was well maintained for its age. I see why this is an Orlando staple for over 50 years. I will return if in the area visit Florida.

I've been hearing great things about this place for years, so I was excited to finally try it. Walking in feels like stepping back in time -- it has that old-school charm that reminds me of the restaurants from my childhood. It's clear they've stayed true to themselves all these years. One helpful note: they now take credit cards, but not American Express. I ordered an extra-large pastrami sandwich and an extra-large beef sandwich. The pastrami really surprised me -- the thinly sliced meat was incredibly flavorful and juicy. The beef was phenomenal as well. I'm so glad I went with the larger sizes because the sandwiches were just that good. I ate one at the restaurant and took the other home to enjoy the next day. Honestly, having their food two days in a row was a treat. I'll definitely be back.

Hi Friends, I was doing a drive-by and I stopped by for lunch I had a number two from the menu. See photos with a Coca-Cola. The service was good. I think it must've been the owner of the place. She had a tremendous diamond on her finger. Place looks like with decor circa 1970s B

After spending several hours walking around at nearby Leu Gardens, my husband and I were tired and hungry. A Yelp search showed that Beefy King was close by, so off we went to Beefy King. What a fun place! It's like stepping back in time. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon but our wait was minimal. The menu primarily features sandwiches with sliced beef, pastrami, turkey, barbecue beef or pork. Sides include Beefy Tater Tots, Cole Slaw, Kosher Dill Pickles, and Chili. I ordered a meal deal for myself that included a Roast Beef Sandwich, Tater Tots, Cole Slaw, and a Kosher Dill Pickle. Everything was hot, fresh, and filling. My husband enjoyed his Corned Beef and Pastrami Sandwich with Tater but the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake (limited time only offering) was the hit of his meal. The people watching and old time feel made Beefy King an excellent choice for lunch.

Food here is decent for a quick bite to eat. The pri es are reasonable as well. The restaurant has an old time feel to it. Service was quick and pleasant.

How have I never been here before?! Beefy King is an iconic Orlando staple. The restaurant hasn't lost its iconic timeless charm. Walking into the restaurant you're transported to the late 60s with the only modern part being the prices. I got the Roast Beef sandwich with spuds. My guest got a Pastrami sandwich with onion rings. The quality of the beef was perfect! Very flavorful and not fatty and chewy like some competitors. The onion rings were crisp and well breaded. I can definitely see coming back for a nice lunch. It does get crowded with good cult following, but even with the lines, the wait was extremely fast!

We FINALLY made it to Beefy King and it did not disappoint!! I cannot believe it took us so long to get to this Orlando staple, but it will now always be in our weekend lunch rotation. It's located in one of our favorite areas of Orlando, the Milk District. For lunch I had the Platter which came with a Roast Beef Sandwich, Cole Slaw, Large Beefy Spuds and Kosher Dill. For my drink I got a Chocolate Shake. Everything was so fresh and so delicious. The building and decor inside is vintage and charming and has such character. All of the staff was so nice and helpful since it was our first time. We can't wait to come back soon!

It's been a while (well over 15 years) since I was last here and the sandwiches were just as tasty, tots were a little crispier than I like but tasted good, slaw was delicious. When in the area stop in . Servers were quick and friendly If you love the 70's this is your place!

I fired up the Delorean for up to 88 miles an hour and threw 1.2 gigs watts into the flux capacitor. Beefy King is like going back in time. Limited menu a variety of sauces and simple meal done well. Ordered the roast beef sandwich and added lettuce and tomato. Could have gotten the platter for 12 but did not want the tater tots. The pink lemonade was sweet and refreshing for a hot day. BBQ pork was also ordered and it was better than the roast beef sandwich. It is a shredded pork and sauced already. Pretty tangy sauce and you can add more if you want. The tater tots were good but not a real sharing size. The sauces were pretty good and the roast beef needed a little moisture added to it as well as seasoning. The staff was very friendly and based on the number of tradesman eating there you can tell it is a good value. Well gotta hop in the Delorean and get back to the future.

Definitely an Orlando staple and hidden gem! Fast and friendly service, simple menu and reasonably priced for the quality! The aesthetic is definitely giving 70's vibe but it adds to the charm of the restaurant. The meat was hot and flavorful and the tater tots were crispy.

After spending a day at a theme park and eating their options, it was nice to "clean" your body out with a good and healthy salad. Located on Sand Lake road near Publix and multiple eateries, this place has a wide selection of salads, sandwiches, and a limited selection of soups. Ambiance: 3.5 Stars The place was clean and has plentiful seating. Ranging from bar style or bench and tables. It is Deli style when ordering. Go to the back and select the type of salads, rice / couscous, soups, or sandwiches. There are pre-fixed options or you can build your own bowl. The eatery was clean, open and airy. Natural lighting was pleasant with the large front windows. It would have been a higher star rating for the ambiance, but the bathrooms needed some work. Though it was clean and roomy, there was no soap and limited toilet paper. Staff: 3.5 Stars Deli The employees were friendly and professional. Our server assisted us with questions and our selections. However, with the middle Eastern dialect and his ability to speak at a rate of the sound barrier, he had to repeat a few times for us to understand. Note: His patience was much appreciated. Food: 3.75 Stars We all chose several different salads. Three were pre-fixed and one was customized. 1. Shanghai Chicken Salad - 3.5 Stars Roasted chicken, edamame, scallions, almonds, cilantro, red cabbage, romaine perfectly paired with miso sesame vinaigrette Contains: Nuts, Soy I chosen the chopped romaine leaves as the base. It was light and flavorful from the dressing. However the chicken was a little bit overcooked and dry. The condiments were plentiful and fresh. Though it was good and had protein, I felt somewhat satisfied. I could eaten another bowl. 2. Chicken Shawarma - 4 Stars Blackened diced chicken thigh, kale, hummus, baba ghanoush, pickles, Israeli salad with Greek yogurt and tahini dressing. The based options are rice melody or couscous. I chose the rice melody. This bowl was more satisfying than the Shanghai Chicken Salad. The chicken tasted juicy, tender and flavorful. Choosing a thigh instead of breast brings the umami flavor of the chicken. The fresh veggies and tahini dressing was a perfect match for this option. 3. Santa Fe Salad - 3.5 Stars avocado, corn, local jack & cheddar, grape tomatoes, onions, tortilla chips, local kale, romaine, perfectly paired with chipotle-lime vinaigrette with a fresh lime squeeze. My sister added chicken thigh and avocado Chimichurri dressing. She said it was tasty. 4. South Beach - 3 Stars craisins, walnuts, green apples, blue cheese, local mesclun, romaine, perfectly paired with balsamic vinaigrette. My wife added chicken and swapped the walnuts for pumpkin seeds. The diced breast chicken was slightly dry and seasoning was lacking. The salad itself was good but wasn't too satisfying. 5. Customized Salad - 3.25 Stars My niece chose to customize her salad bowl. She chose chicken, romaine lettuces, shaved Parmesan cheese, cucumbers, edamame, and other veggie ingredients. She chose the avocado Chimichurri dressing which she liked. NOTE: they offer breakfast items and coffee. Selection of various drinks are from a deli refrigerator and they carry some Kombucha options too. Enjoy!
