I've been hearing great things about this place for years, so I was excited to finally try it. Walking in feels like stepping back in time -- it has that old-school charm that reminds me of the restaurants from my childhood. It's clear they've stayed true to themselves all these years. One helpful note: they now take credit cards, but not American Express. I ordered an extra-large pastrami sandwich and an extra-large beef sandwich. The pastrami really surprised me -- the thinly sliced meat was incredibly flavorful and juicy. The beef was phenomenal as well. I'm so glad I went with the larger sizes because the sandwiches were just that good. I ate one at the restaurant and took the other home to enjoy the next day. Honestly, having their food two days in a row was a treat. I'll definitely be back.

Food here is decent for a quick bite to eat. The pri es are reasonable as well. The restaurant has an old time feel to it. Service was quick and pleasant.

We FINALLY made it to Beefy King and it did not disappoint!! I cannot believe it took us so long to get to this Orlando staple, but it will now always be in our weekend lunch rotation. It's located in one of our favorite areas of Orlando, the Milk District. For lunch I had the Platter which came with a Roast Beef Sandwich, Cole Slaw, Large Beefy Spuds and Kosher Dill. For my drink I got a Chocolate Shake. Everything was so fresh and so delicious. The building and decor inside is vintage and charming and has such character. All of the staff was so nice and helpful since it was our first time. We can't wait to come back soon!

After spending several hours walking around at nearby Leu Gardens, my husband and I were tired and hungry. A Yelp search showed that Beefy King was close by, so off we went to Beefy King. What a fun place! It's like stepping back in time. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon but our wait was minimal. The menu primarily features sandwiches with sliced beef, pastrami, turkey, barbecue beef or pork. Sides include Beefy Tater Tots, Cole Slaw, Kosher Dill Pickles, and Chili. I ordered a meal deal for myself that included a Roast Beef Sandwich, Tater Tots, Cole Slaw, and a Kosher Dill Pickle. Everything was hot, fresh, and filling. My husband enjoyed his Corned Beef and Pastrami Sandwich with Tater but the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake (limited time only offering) was the hit of his meal. The people watching and old time feel made Beefy King an excellent choice for lunch.

How have I never been here before?! Beefy King is an iconic Orlando staple. The restaurant hasn't lost its iconic timeless charm. Walking into the restaurant you're transported to the late 60s with the only modern part being the prices. I got the Roast Beef sandwich with spuds. My guest got a Pastrami sandwich with onion rings. The quality of the beef was perfect! Very flavorful and not fatty and chewy like some competitors. The onion rings were crisp and well breaded. I can definitely see coming back for a nice lunch. It does get crowded with good cult following, but even with the lines, the wait was extremely fast!

It's been a while (well over 15 years) since I was last here and the sandwiches were just as tasty, tots were a little crispier than I like but tasted good, slaw was delicious. When in the area stop in . Servers were quick and friendly If you love the 70's this is your place!

I decided to go to Beefy king as it had been highly recommended. I walk in and bang the smell of bbq beef hits me. I got the Junior BBQ Pork Sando and some Beefy Stubs. Ate them in seconds. Food was very good. Service was good as well. Sauce bar was a highlight. Only reason for 4 stars is the bathroom needs either deep clean or a full renovation.

I fired up the Delorean for up to 88 miles an hour and threw 1.2 gigs watts into the flux capacitor. Beefy King is like going back in time. Limited menu a variety of sauces and simple meal done well. Ordered the roast beef sandwich and added lettuce and tomato. Could have gotten the platter for 12 but did not want the tater tots. The pink lemonade was sweet and refreshing for a hot day. BBQ pork was also ordered and it was better than the roast beef sandwich. It is a shredded pork and sauced already. Pretty tangy sauce and you can add more if you want. The tater tots were good but not a real sharing size. The sauces were pretty good and the roast beef needed a little moisture added to it as well as seasoning. The staff was very friendly and based on the number of tradesman eating there you can tell it is a good value. Well gotta hop in the Delorean and get back to the future.

The food is delicious! The staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. I've been eating there for 35 years! We live in Mount Dora, and when any of my Orlando friends say, " where do you want to meet for lunch", I say Beefy King!

Definitely an Orlando staple and hidden gem! Fast and friendly service, simple menu and reasonably priced for the quality! The aesthetic is definitely giving 70's vibe but it adds to the charm of the restaurant. The meat was hot and flavorful and the tater tots were crispy.

I needed a quick lunch after an appointment and this place was nearby. It was small, filled with regulars and a friendly environment. Reasonably priced, very tasty and hit the spot. I got the pastrami and at first was surprised at what looked small, but as an American used to oversize all the time, it was actually just right. I was so full after my sandwich, plentiful tater tots, and delicious pumpkin pie shake, I didn't have dinner, only snacks. I'm coming back for sure.

    XL beef sandwich Onion Rings
    Nancy P.

Vintage looking restaurant - mom & pop place. Seating is kinda limited and it can get busy to where I always see a line wrapped around the building for the drive thru. People are super nice and helpful. I personally have to get the XL because it evens out the bun to meat ratio. I wish the tots were crispier so I tried the onion rings and they are crispier. I wish there was an option for melted cheese on the sandwiches. They have a few sauces and I recommend trying the jack sauce.

As we were a party of 2 , we went with 4 baos so 2 baos per person and it was a nice snack. The hogzilla is the pork belly which is decent - a bit on the saltier side but all the ingredients meshed well. The Glen Rhee is Korean beef which was a bit dry. Despite glowing reviews, I was a bit disappointed Firecracker shrimp was amazing. 4 pieces in the bao so definitely overflowing with shrimp, and the sauce that comes with it is filling and satisfying Cuban is their seasonal and has pork and chicharron. However, the sandwich didn't quite live up to what I remember. The bread didn't taste as fresh as I expected, and the sandwich was lukewarm instead of warm and toasty like I've experienced at other locations. The Dream Bar was also not quite what I remembered. It didn't have the same richness or taste that made it a favorite for me in the past. I'm not sure if the time of day impacted the quality, but the overall experience just didn't match the Potbelly I remember from Chicago.
