I took my test this morning and I passed first try! Sebastian helped me feel super confident and i've had a great experience learning to drive. Planning to schedule some freeway driving lessons later in the summer to keep practicing because he's a great instructor! We drove the same route during my drivers test that he practiced with me during my lessons. I would encourage new drivers to schedule lessons at this driving school because they are awesome!

They then proceeded to drive well below the speed limit to a point where they were basically loitering in the middle of the road. Put it this way, they were so slow that I could easily get a picture of the phone number on the car so I could finally put in a complaint because this is not the first time I have seen issues with the drivers/cars from this school. I have previously seen cars from this driving school driving erratically but haven't been able to catch the phone number until now. I have also caught the cars from this driving school stopping at a red and just sitting there despite the fact that there is absolutely zero oncoming traffic. Other drivers get frustrated by this and then take extreme action to get around the driving school car because it appears the driver is just not paying attention to the road because they are not following normal traffic laws/rules. This is LA, you need to do better when it comes to how you teach people to drive. Your customers are entrusting you to show them how to drive safely and telling your students to make a turn when there's a quickly approaching vehicle, is just not safe. Not driving with the flow of traffic is also unsafe. If you are a new driver looking for a good driving school, go anywhere else but here. I would highly recommend AAA or some other more professional organization because this company just does not teach you how to drive properly in the city of Los Angeles. If you attended this school, you should be highly concerned.

Since my daughter is 18, she wasn't required to do the behind the wheel training but she opted to do it anyways to ensure she was 100% confident come the day of her test. We did a few Driving training days and then the 2 hours of driving on the actual test day around the DMV and used their vehicle for the driving test. My daughter had struggled to pass her permit test (failed 3 times to be exact ) so obviously she was very nervous when it came to taking her driving test. Martin trained her so well and ensured her confidence was at an all time high that she passed her driving test with flying colors and on her FIRST TRY! We absolutely recommend West Coast Driving School and although the rest of my kiddos have quite a few years ahead of them before they start driving, I will absolutely be using them for all of our driving training needs.

The instructor I had, Bryan (I apologize if I misremembered your name--it's been a while), was charismatic, kind, and had the utmost patience. I can attribute all my fears being alleviated solely because of him. He was strict, but fair, believing in me throughout the entire course (even when I almost got us into a crash during my initial exposure to driving on a busy street. Sorry for that, lol). Every mistake I made, he was sure to correct it in order to ensure my success within the very next lesson. Bryan had made the entire learning process enjoyable, but also directly improving my self-confidence and utilization of techniques when on the road. Especially when compared to the recklessness that currently plagues SoCal drivers, i pride myself on being responsible and safe when operating any vehicle. Which led me to question, "Why are the reviews for this school so low?" I don't know if there are multiple instructors, however, I can attest that Bryan is nothing like the negative comments make him out to be. Though, these harsh criticisms seem to only come from more than a decade ago--so I reason things have changed. Regardless, I do have one nitpick. It's the DMV this school recommends you to take your tests at: El Monte. I won't name anyone in particular, but there is a specific proctor who you never want to get. There are anecdotes, forums, and a whole petition to remove them from their position. This is due to their overly condescending attitude, plus the (almost) guarantee that you will fail under their grading. Once I got another examiner, I was given a much more accurate analysis that I passed. If I were given a chance to restart all my progress, I would not risk touching this DMV with a 1 mile pole. Anywhere else (except Pasadena) would be better. Nevertheless, Atlantic Driving School cannot control who you get--which is why I didn't take a star off. Please, for your own sake, just don't go to El Monte. 5 Star Driving School - Thank you, Bryan, for all the work you have done for me. God bless.

We accepted, moved work/personal schedules around to be available for this and cut my son's trip short by two days so he can be well rested for this morning's lesson. Less than an hour before first lesson Mr . Silva canceled. Again I asked if he was the only instructor we can book with he quickly said he can refund our money. My guess is this "school" is one man and his car...? Anyway, I guess it's not a problem for a family with an open schedule but beware, he is pushy and seems somewhat aggressive. Very unprofessional.
