Really good food line up, better than majority of pub grub in execution

Off the beaten path out towards Dripping Springs - well worth the diversion on Fitzhugh road, north of 290. Large indoor/outdoor area, ample parking. Greeted at the door, got a little card you stick on the paper towel dispenser thingy at your table when you want to order. Wait staff shows up in seconds, brings your stuff out to you - no confusing "go here for your wooden drink token, then take it to that person over there, and they give you a chit to take to the bar....."(with a queue at each station), or, "order drinks here, then over there for food, then pick up at another spot......" Nope, just find a spot and enjoy the tasty beers and food. Extra friendly staff, pleasant interactions, all in all, glad we made the effort to get out here. IPAs passed the Hop Queen's snoot of approval, and the food is clearly superior to the usual pub grub - they have a real chef back there putting together food that is worth the drive all by itself.

| Beers | I like the concept behind Beerburg Brewing, including sustainably sourced and mostly local ingredients, and using Texas-grown herbs in their beer making process. This makes for creative beers, such as the Sourflower berliner weisse, made with yarrow to add the tartness and floral notes. It is a very unique berliner weisse! They also have several IPA and pale ales, which is my jam. I tried three and my favorite was the Flame Leaf IPA made with sumac, but I also enjoyed the Devil's Claw west coast style IPA. | Food | Regarding food, you can't go wrong with the tasty chicken flautas! They are topped with plenty of cotija cheese, pico de gallo, and a crema sauce. They pair well with beer! They also have made-in-house ice cream. | Atmosphere | It's a family and dog friendly place (dogs outside only). They even have a fenced off dog park area, which is great for pup parents. The outdoor space is large, and includes a nice patio area. I'm looking forward to enjoying it come Fall and Spring seasons.

Whoa. Bit a of a drive outside of the city, but totally worth the drive. The smash Burger was incredible, phenomenal experimental beers, cool vibe and they have a disc golf course out back. One of the things that makes the beer special is they usually have a few rotational beers where they incorporate ingredients foraged on the property.

I chose to stop here on my bestie's recommendation. A year or so ago, she came here one weekend and would not stop raving about the food. She told me that I would like it....and she was right! I enjoyed the ambiance, the beer and the taste of the food. There is seating available indoor and outdoors. I came here on the way back from Fredericksburg. I enjoyed sitting outside as there were areas designated for dogs and there was a beautiful field of wildflowers in front of us. The servers were all very friendly and I appreciated that they took the time to answer my questions as it was my first time there. The beer that I had was refreshing and with floral notes - perfect to beat the summer heat. The food was very well seasoned and delicious. I meant to take some home for later but it was so good that none was left!

We came here over Memorial Day weekend and had a blast. It wasn't crowded which was nice because it was relaxing- although I'm sure that won't last long... we tried the flight and a variety of beers and enjoyed all of it! The staff was super friendly and the place is spacious and clean. We got the mushroom asada and the quesadillas and both were amazing. I loved the fried crispy tortillas that both came with. The plates are a little small for the price but I think it is well worth to try the food! We also got pistachio ice cream. I wanted to get a flight but we were already too full. I would definitely come back though to try more as they have some interesting flavors!!

I came here on a Thursday evening, maybe around 7, and there were only a couple other groups there. We had the whole patio to ourselves with just our dog and the sunset! The setting is hard to beat, a nice view of the hills, an area with trees and benches, and a dog park. They have an indoor area, too! The beer choices were plentiful and varied, and for non beer lovers they have other alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. We ordered flautas, brisket tacos, and patatas bravas. My favorite of the three were the patatas - great flavor, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also quite a bit for the price. The flautas were good - the shell was perfectly crunchy. But, the taste was lacking. This was the case with the tacos, too. Also, for the price, I think 3 would be more reasonable vs. 2... Though I was satisfied (not too full) by the end. Definitely order some ice cream! Both flavors we had were great - probably the best of the food tbh! Overall a great place to hang out with some friends and have a few drinks. Very dog friendly. The food is promising, but will have to try more to be convinced.

Yet another boozy destination on Fitzhugh Road. Should have invested in property a few years ago... Nice venue with table service! I don't have to stand in line to get a beer! Yay!!! Hate me if you want...I've decided to stop tipping at beer gardens where I have to stand in line for more than 3 minutes. Good beer. We tried a flight of the lighter beers - all decent. Hubby liked the Sour but wasn't happy with the prickly pear milkshake IPA. I think he got exactly what he ordered... Had chips and salsa. Menu looks pretty good. Love the dog park and the shaded tables. Did I mention TABLE SERVICE!

You can sit up on the platform if you wish!

Excellent brewery AND eatery outside the madness that is now Austin. You can sit among the trees and enjoy a cold craft brew while chowing down on their great, and reasonably priced, cuisine. Well off the beaten path for a reason: It's not over-run by hipsters wearing black! I'm an old white guy and I'm a fan. Go now!!!

Amazing food, they have chef doing an amazing job with food, appetizer trio is our go to. We also tried their tacos and many other things over the time. I love their setup, they have wide options in food including vegan or vegetarian options. They also have some good ice cream to cool down on a hot day, a lot of parking, indoor and outdoor seating area. My wife tried their jackfruit tacos and black bean tacos, they both were amazing, specifically their salsa and aioli makes it taste amazing. Beers are nice, I'm a sucker for Mexican lagers and they have a good mix of Mexican lager and blonde style beers. Last time I was there, they had sun dance fest there - crowded but very well managed.

Everything we had was good. Nothing was just thrown together or slapped onto a plate. Everything we ordered was plated beautifully and tasted good. Because of covid most restaurants I've been too have been sloppy and rushed to get it out the door and not much care places in their food. The staff were very friendly and took precautions to keep themselves and us safe, which we really appreciated. I'm not a beer fan so I got a glass if the rosè, it was decent at best. My husband had a cider which was really good. We will definitely be back with our dog once it cools down some and the full menu is available. It looks like it will be amazing! Good job y'all!

Hidden away by the ranches, there a cute little brewery with indoor, patio and garden beer seating overlooking a valley. Great beers and food. Had a little bit of everything and it was all very tasty.. They also have a small selection of wine and cider for the non beer drinkers. Nice view of the sunset too. People were friendly, service was fast, prices were decent and they had honkey Tonk nights Thursdays but they have a cover charge of $10 with no reentry. Great for a social night.

Over the weekend we had the opportunity to travel down to Austin and stay at the brewery in our Airstream. This was a fabulous place! The beer that they are brewing is unique and flavorful, along with traditional street tacos and Mexican fare, which can be pretty competitive in Austin. When we first go there, I asked for a Topo Chico, which they don't have because they have something much better! If you want something refreshing to clean the palette before you start trying different beers, order the Hop Water! It is amazing! I really have to commend the staff, because they were friendly, attentive to our needs, and fast. That is a challenge in today workforce, and there is nothing worse than having great food and crappy service. While the beer and food was delicious - the one thing that stood out as exceptional was the ice cream flight. That is a must have if you visit Beerburg Brewing. The seasonal speciality was Atole Ice Cream and it was our favorite!

TLDR: A really pleasant brewery experience, if a bit out of the way So right off the bat, this place is beautiful. The "taproom" isn't really a room, and more of a tap cavern. Lots of seating, but enough space it still feels very spacious about. We got both appetizers and some food. for apps, we got the trio. The salsa was really really good. Queso and Guac were both good, but not exceptional. If I am being honest, I can't remember which two tacos I got, but they were fantastic. Everyone at the table really enjoyed theirs. I had two different flights, so I got to sample a large amount of their beers. they have a lot of really original and unique flavors, while still maintaining a lot of the regulars you see at a lot of breweries. It really gives this place a lot of individuality, while not making it niche. all of the beers were at least "pretty good". Of the 8 I tried though, none really made it to the "phenomenal" level, which is my one and only complaint about the place. 100% worth the visit, and amongst the best breweries in Austin. 4.75/5

The cocktails and the food is really good especially the tacos. The desserts they have also good. The only con is that they close the kitchen really early even on weekends like around 7:45 last call. But would definitely go again for the vibe and food. read more

On a Sunday during the pandemic when there is literally nowhere to go and nothing to do this place was open! You had to make a reservation and only outdoor seating was available but it's one of the only places we could find that have table service. We got the pretzel and hummus and for just some snack/bar food i was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. In terms of following Covid guidelines this place is one of the best I've seen. I hope to be able to come here when businesses are able to be fully functional again because they have a playground and a dog park. read more

Great food and beer. They have beautiful shaded and dog friendly outdoor area. The indoor area is closed for now. Excellent beer - love their prickly pear IPA. Great food - highly recommend the carnitas tacos and salsa sampler. Make a reservation on OpenTable and head out there. read more

Beerburg is one of my favorite places as of late. Tonight was very disappointing though. I ordered the chicken birria tacos, there was a mixup and IG got the pork tacos instead. I politely asked the server if he could exchange them for the chicken tacos. The manager came by and rather than simply exchanging the food, she chose to debate with me insisting that the kitchen assured her that they had made chicken tacos. Family and dog friendly spot with great beer selection, good house brews and nice atmosphere. Our group had the chips and guacamole- good, one of the kids had chicken bites, we also had cheeseburger sliders, quail sliders and carnitas tacos. Little perspective: house beers at $6- worth it. $12 for two small, over cooked carnitas tacos, not so much. CB sliders not excellent either but quail was decent. Board games for us to play were great, outdoor area was awesome and the place is big. Enjoyed ourselves but will be sure to eat prior to coming next time. read more

Delicious food - including vegetarian options! Good beer selection. I was especially glad to find a lighter beer, the pre prohibition lager, as I don't enjoy heavy/hoppy beers that are popular with breweries. OMG! Slow down when you get here, but get here fast! These folks are doing solid versions of all the standards and impeccable foraged beers. The owner Trevor has built a beer oasis on his family's property replete with a dog park, kids adventure area, and a beautiful patio with sweeping views of the Hill Country. Food-wise we've only made it through the dipping trio but I couldn't wait to gush about this place. The taco options are as diverse and amazing as the beer list. If you've heard of the foraging brewery Scratch come here and you won't believe you haven't heard of this outfit. #atx read more

Great beers, great atmosphere, and friendly welcoming staff. Beerburg is well designed, with several different seating areas and options. Indoors, there are several sections with comfy leather couches & vintage chairs. there are a few vintage games, which is great for families with small children. The main area has rows of communal beer hall tables. There is also an outdoor deck with colorful outdoor seating areas & views of the hill country. The murals inside create a fun vibe, bringing a light hearted & colorful contrast to the natural tones of the vintage furniture. We got the pale ale and the pilsner. Both were good. I'd definitely recommend checking out Beerburg. read more

This review is solely about the food since I don't drink. Living nearby we have ordered curbside here several times and each time the food is excellent, better tacos than anywhere else i have had them Today we had the brisket tacos that are nicely grilled with excellent quality meat and great flavor. Not a bit of grizzle or fat. I wholeheartedly recommend their food! read more

What an unexpected pleasure. On an outing to look for water features, we stopped at two other places looking for lunch AND air conditioning. Beerburg Brewing fit the bill. The beer was great, the food delicious, the service spot-on and they even had live music with a local artist playing original songs. Even though we live on the north side of Austin (Round Rock), we will surely visit Beerburg Brewing again. read more

Six of us took a pretty drive here on a Beautiful Sunday afternoon and experienced a nice sunset when we were leaving. We had to sit outside of course due to COVID. Good beer, good food and friendly wait staff. We had the Carnitas and Shrimp Tacos, chips and hot sauce and ice cream. Really good! read more

We went today based on a tv promo to give it a try. We arrived at 11:30am only 30 min after they opened. a little early for beer for me, but I felt obligated to try one. I ordered a Pilsner and it was warm when it arrived. nothing worse than warm beer in my opinion. Food options were brunch only. I ordered a barbacoa plate my husband ordered eggs with chorizo. Food arrived quickly but was barely even warm. greasy barbacoa meat that was luke warm. Refried beans that were mush also barely warm. The eggs were cold. The only thing warm we're the potatoes. The food tasted like it was pre made and sitting on a warming table for hours. And they just opened. won't go back. read more

I've been here twice. It's one of the few breweries in Dripping Springs that open early in the week and serves food. I personally loved the Wildcraft Pale Ale - it's a really unique flavor. I had to come back just to get a few crowlers to take home. There's plenty of space indoors and outdoors, though it wasn't anywhere near crowded either on Monday evening or early Saturday when we went. We ate here and both enjoyed our food I appreciate that they offer multiple vegetarian entrees. I agree with the other reviewers that it's on the more expensive side, but it's very chill here and I appreciate the unique selection of brews. We will definitely be back. read more

Love Beerburg! Been coming since shortly after their original opening. It's been great to see this business grow and survive the Covid mess. Now, with the indoor taproom open, there is cooled space inside, the tables under the live oaks, plus a great deck overlooking Hill Country. The tacos are fantastic. read more

What a beautiful place. Since it was Texas hot and we were coming in from the nearby Austin Zoo, we chose to be inside the pleasing beer hall. Last time we ate out among the trees. Food wonderful and inventive, beers good, staff great. Can't do much better if your looking for the brewery experience with gourmet tacos. Did I mention AC? read more

Yes! Another review about the fantastic kitchen and excellent service! But, I first need to mention the amazing music we walked into on a recent, sunny Sunday afternoon. Michael Samuels was performing on piano, guitar, harmonica & vocals: a true professional. He had two other musicians (bass & guitar) backing him up and the sound was full, refined, joyful, and with a deep groove. I just felt motivated to give a shout out to some great Austin musicians. Hope to see Michael Samuels back at Beerburg! Now onto the meal. One order of the Winter Squash Huaraches (the Daily Special) and one order of the Cauliflower Chorizo Tacos. Fabulous! You can really tell this is a scratch kitchen using real family recipes as a foundation. Their corn tortillas are made from fresh masa for each order: the way it ought to be. My friends were doing the beer drinking and they thought highly of the selections offered. Sorry I can't provide more about the brews, I'm a non-drinker. Regardless, it's guaranteed I'll be back for the food and music! read more

Beerburg Brewing opened up this weekend. It is close to home so I will probably visit periodically just because of the convenience. Let me start by commenting on the service. The wait persons are very attentive and respond quickly. Very friendly atmosphere. They have a large inside area and also an outside area (dog friendly). The atmosphere is inviting. Not too loud, although that could be the result of not being very full. Being a brewery, they had quite a selection of ales, three of their own ales and many more "guest" ales. I am not much of a drinker, so I tried their pale ale, made on the premises. It had an excellent, smooth flavor and nice color. We tried several things on the food menu. First was the guacamole with chips and salsa. The chips were hot, thin and crispy. The salsa was flavorful, not particularly spicy. Some patrons might want to add a bit of salt to it. Next we had the House Garden Salad. The greens were fresh and crisp. The Lemon Ginger dressing was very good but there was not much of it on the salad. You might need to ask for some extra on the side. Next were the Texas Quail Sliders. Very delicious. The fried quail breasts were amply sized and not overcooked. They came with pickles and slaw. We also tried the Cubano ATX sandwiches. The pork was nicely spiced and cooked although not shredded as described in the menu. Overall, they are doing very well having only been open for two days. They say that the menu will be varied from time to time so I will be looking forward to trying new things. I have one complaint: No Iced Tea! I'm pretty sure that every other restaurant in Texas offers iced tea. read more

On a side note the bathroom that I experienced was in an airstream trailer and they were clean. They had other bathrooms onsite but I didn't see them. Take the stairs down to the building. In front of the building there is parking, but on the side of the building there is even more parking. So, plenty of parking. There was a long line of people waiting to get in. But the line moved pretty fast. Didn't take long before I got inside. My ticket was a QR code on my phone. Easy to scan and go through. They did offer food once inside. Hot dogs, hamburgers, frito pie, IYKYK. Basic food. Nothing fancy. There was a small area where you could buy monster truck t-shirts, and light sticks for the kids. I think when you buy your ticket on line, you can also pay to ride in the monster truck. I think it was $15.00. And you ride in the bed of the truck in the back. The truck goes around in a circle a couple times. The truck named Tantrum was giving the rides. The show was from 6pm to 7:30pm I feel like it started later than that. Tantrum was still giving rides at 6:30pm. When the rides were over the trucks came out to introduce themselves. Then the national anthem. Then, that's when the show actually started. It was 4 monster trucks and 2 jumps. They went around in a circle, hit a couple jumps, and then let the next truck go. There was a motorcycle that came out and did a number of jumps. Pretty amazing the height he got. All in all, it was entertaining. I left a little early just to beat the traffic getting out of there. Worked out great. I am glad that I brought ear protection, just what I use when I'm at the gun range. And that worked out perfectly. Pretty much everyone there including lots of kids, all wore some kind of ear protection. Fun, entertaining night. Both young and mature.

We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

He was introduced to me as the boat owner and came across as relaxed and not at all pushy--qualities I appreciate when considering a business, especially since part of my motivation for attending was to explore options for my birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Paul's friends left a negative impression. A couple of them outright refused to acknowledge me, turning away when a gentleman attempted to introduce me. Others made inappropriate jokes about my accent in a condescending and offensive manner. One individual even made vulgar comments, implying that Paul should get my phone number to discuss event planning details later, which was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. While the event itself was enjoyable, the boat ride interesting, the behavior of those around the boat owner and the fact that the boat owner never replied to my text message trying to discuss my event, was disappointing and detracted from my overall experience. This experience left me with a negative impression of the boat's management, and I strongly feel that they are not welcoming to immigrants. The group consisted of older white men whose behavior was filled with prejudice and hostility. And for that reason I felt compelled to post a review discouraging people like me- and those against this type of behavior - to stay away and make better choices. We can use our money to invest in a much better experience elsewhere I left the boat traumatized and truly disgusted by those old men behaviors. Do better!

Great spot on Fitzhhugh Road! There is an outdoor seating area nestled in the trees. The natural setting and views are fantastic. If you like to go out with your dog, this is the spot: they are dog-friendly and even have a fenced-in dog park where they can run off-leash. Another big plus for the outdoor area is the cornhole and giant Jenga. The inside is spacious and comfortable, with a view of the brewing equipment, lots of table seating as well as single seats with a view, and a lounge area with comfy couches, coffee tables, and even some games to play. The beer is good. They had an amber, ipa, and a pale which were all tasty. There apparently will be some other selections in the coming months as they get their brewing going. They also have a great selection of guest beers with a wide variety of styles. The food was my favorite part. Everything is locally sourced and delicious. I tried the kimchi pickled eggs which were off the chart! My wife had the brat with homemade sauerkraut and homemade mustard which she gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up (and sauerkraut is one of her favorite foods). I had the cuban sandwich which was outstanding. Our friends had the burger sliders and street tacos and said everything was great. I will be back to try some of the other items. I think they have a bright future. My only recommendations would be a playscape for the kids, and some type of side for the entrees to make them a little better value (some chips would have been nice with the brats, sliders, and cuban sandwich). read more

My friends and I had a small group at Beerburg this past Friday and loved it so much! I haven't been out much even though I am vaccinated and I appreciated their attention to detail and careful consideration of the safety of all patrons. All servers wore masks and kept a safe distance while still remaining personable and communicating clearly. The atmosphere is really lovely and welcoming, like a friends ranch where you get to enjoy the sunset together. I don't know a lot about beer but they helped me find one I loved after asking me the right questions. The staff is so friendly and willing to talk you through their options! I loved my shrimp taco and beer, next time i will be trying some homemade ice cream. My dog also had the best time playing in their off leash dog area! Love love love this place. Great selection of beers, and their own brews are top-notch. Usually something on the beer menu that's a little different or made with a local special ingredient. The food? Food is OUTSTANDING. Looking forward to when they can fully re-open the inside with a full menu. You absolutely have to try someone of the homemade ice cream if it's on the menu. It's almost too good to be true, and some of the flavors are wild (try them!). The real star here is the setting. Beautiful hill country views, and ample outdoor seating among the oak and cedar trees. Everything is nicely spaced which is important right now because of the Rona. This place is already on track to be my favorite hangout spot on Fitzhugh. The IPA is really good, but the Pale Ale is fantastic. So far I've had their fish tacos, mushroom tacos, beef sliders, Bratwurst, fried pickles, and guacamole. We enjoyed it all. The property is very pretty. They were still wrapping up some construction stuff while were there, but they've already got a really nice vibe both inside and out in their beer garden. Oh, and the ordering system is refreshingly different from other drinking establishments. You raise a card, and a waiter is pretty much immediately with you taking your food and beer order.
