Ordered the Signature Strawberry Margarita Kringle from Uncle Mike's a few weeks ago! (We are originally from Green Bay currently retired to North Phoenix; so we know how great Uncle Mike's is!!)) I was worried about it being too sweet or too boozy. It was perfect & so delicious!! We put 1/2 in freezer right away & the entire Kringle is already all gone! And, it's just the two of us! Does this place offer sweet pastries? Yes Is it a must-stop? No Is it the best bakery in Green Bay? I don't know. Generally, that's a very subjective decision. Does this place offer the best Kringles? Probably ? I see a lot of great reviews, but it wasn't AMAZING. It was pretty good for Wisconsin in general. I didn't leave the place mindblown by the "fantastic" taste of the Kringle (and I tried two of them) or the croissants. The service was not excellent either. It was okay. But my husband & I both ordered special fall coffees and mine which the was pumpkin spice latte was less than mediocre. SIMPLY THE BEST THERE IS!!! So let me begin by saying that I consider myself a Kringle authority. Having consumed them from every manufacturer of them in the State of Wisconsin since the 1970's. I've tried every maker of them out of Racine. I noted coming across Mike's Bake Shoppe on the internet and found it hard to believe they would potentially be the best or even different from others in Wisconsin. Well let me begin by saying that after receiving my first Kringle order of a Cherry and a Blueberry Cream Cheese Kringle my assessment is as follows. * Texture. Simply in another league. O&H and Larson's can't even come close. It's denser and more flavorful. Most importantly as well is that Mike's uses BUTTER not the sick and annoying margarine which is a molecule away from being plastic. Sad that this day and age ANY credible baker would use such poison. So the flavor and texture is another league * Filling. The cherrys were from Seacrest Farms in Door County famous for their cherries. And indeed you get entire cherries, not the tiny chopped up bits and pieces you'd get from O&H and others. The flavor is simply outstanding and the real deal, not chemically made up like the others and there's a LOT of it no skimping here. * Frosting. Mike's frosting is most obviously handmade NOT out of some container like the others. It adds that sweet character which is not overwhelming. A perfect mix and once again genuine not fake like the others. * Helping or Physical Size. It was immediately obvious that the physical helping or size of the Kringle was perhaps at least 30% larger then all other competition. So the value for it's price is undeniably superior. In the end Mike's deserves the term as the FINEST Kringle available anywhere. I don't see anyone coming close let alone using the best ingredients without seed oils and crappy margarine and such. From now on it's MIke's or nothing for me. read more

OMG. Visiting my cousin in Ripon, he asked us to pick up some Uncle Mike's Kringle - sea salt caramel and raspberry are his favorites. We came here for breakfast and were blown away. One of the things I like is you can buy 1/2 a Kringle, so we were able to get both of his favorite flavors without overbuying. The cleanliness of the business impressed me when we walked in the door. The server that helped us was so nice and friendly, I was really impressed. I ordered a blueberry muffin and my wife had a cream cheese cinnamon roll. My muffin was great, but the cream cheese roll had a very strong cream cheese flavor that kinda overpowered the cinnamon. I wish we had one of these in Tucson where I live, but then again I would be 10 lbs heavier! read more

This is a great place to get donuts and so much more! I love the fresh coffee here as well. I have gone here several times in the past several months. The donuts and amazing Cronuts are delicious . The building is clean and tidy inside and out and the staff is superb. There is a lot of light from the large windows to illuminate all the freshly made products available. This review is long overdue. There is simply no other bakery in GB I would visit over Uncle Mike's. Their selection of, well, everything is HUGE and service is always great. Yes, their award-winning salted caramel pecan Kringle is amazing (and will be making an appearance at Thanksgiving out here in California next week) but don't underestimate their other flavors. The strawberry cream one is incredible, as well. Also of note: they do wedding cakes! Or they did in 2014 for my sister's wedding; hopefully they still do them because YUM. read more

We've ordered in the past from Uncle Mike's when they did deliveries in Milwaukee. Everything was delicious. Breads were excellent and reasonably priced. We loved the frozen chicken enchiladas and bolognese lasagna that they offered. On a trip to Door County (it's an easy on/off in Green Bay only a couple blocks from I43) we stopped in their store on East Mason Street. It was a busy place on a Friday before PI Day with their pies going like hot cakes . The only past disappointment was their top rated Kringle which we thought were extremely sweet having too much frosting. Though that is easily remedied by scrapping some off. . I used to think Racine Kringle had the best kringle out there... that was until I had their award-winning Sea Salt Caramel Pecan Kringle at a friend's Packers tailgate. LIFE. CHANGING. First of all, these pastries are big and thick. We're talking like 2-3 inches stuffed with incredible filling. The treat is very rich, but that didn't stop me from inhaling it. I knew after that tailgate I had to go back for more. I went to the shop to take two of these home, as I was from out of town. One was for my dad's birthday, as he is the ultimate sweets fan, and the other was for my work team. Both gave glowing reviews! What I also liked was the store had samples of all of their other Kringle flavors out for you to try. I also like the cheese Kringle. I believe they said you can also order them online. When they say the sea salt caramel pecan is the best kringle, they aren't playing. I have always been a fan of Racine Kringle but Uncle Mike's has taken over the top spot for kringle. The kringle is the star of this place (particularly the aforementioned sea salt caramel pecan, as well as the old fashioned and caramel apple), but the donuts, cookies, and cupcakes are pretty spectacular as well. Pro tip: load up on the sample pieces so you don't have that hungry-while-grocery-shopping affect on your bank account. Buy multiple half-kringles to get the most variety without giving yourself the wildest sugar buzz of your life. Everytime I'm in Green Bay, I stop here. read more
