They always have a huge selection of beers on draft. Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. I tried two new tacos they have and they were both very good, shrimp and steak. Service is always great.

They changed their Chef and it shows. Not only did they get rid of most of the items on their menu that were really good, it seems like the quality of food has been cut in half. The shrimp tacos were soggy, lacked flavor, and the limes they provided were laughable. They were 1/4" inch thick slices of dry nothingness. The cabbage tasted old. We also had a Beertown smash burger, which honestly wasn't too bad, but the so called crispy onions were severely lacking in ammount and flavor (see photo). They were soggy and tasted old. The last thing that was disappointing was the beer I got was barely cold. The Margarita was honestly the only thing we enjoyed. The staff was fairly nice although no one welcomed us, and the bartender was busy talking for about 5 minutes. We waited for another bartender to come let us know to seat ourselves.

Beertown is one of the best kept gems in Oceanside & can be found right as we enter the downtown area. One of my favorite places to dine out is Beertown. Beertown is located on N Coast Hwy in Oceanside California & it's an underrated family-friendly spot. There's a lot to love here at Beertown. They have a private parking lot & there's also street parking surrounding it. Because it is located BEFORE the downtown area, you won't have to deal with too much traffic; which is often known as a nuisance. Their establishment is very spacious, allowing for seating inside or on an outside patio. With their wraparound windows, customers get a full view of all happenings outside (people-watching is a famous Oceanside pastime). They also have bar seating for those of us who want to minimize our time between drinks Because they have minimal televisions, I would not consider this a "sports bar". Beertown is more of a family-friendly watering-hole that has some excellent pricing deals. I especially love their smashburgers, which are available Every Day. It has a pickled pepperochini relish & bacon jam that is simply decadent! You get a hint of sweet, heat & savory in every bite. On Tuesdays it's all about their tacos for $2.50! Their blackened mahi fish taco sells out fast. Their pork belly is another favorite and they even have a vegetarian option with artichoke & mushroom; and all of them are flavorful. Wednesdays are all about their $.75 chicken wings and they have a great selection available. I recommend mango-habanero, hot honey (get extra sauce) and 7 Siblings Buffalo. I love how Beertown supports other local businesses such as ARTIFEX, Shoots, Northern Pine & 7 Siblings. I really love this place and can't recommend it enough and hope that everyone gets to experience all that they have to offer in Oceanside.

    Wings plus good times.

Chill spot close to the beach with a patio and some dope ass wings! Great beer selection too! Will return.

Excellent place to grab some beers and food. I don't get to try the food but it looked good. I was limited on time so I tried a few beers and took some to go. My server was great and offered to let me try any beer before I got a full pour. The flight is a good option to try several of the taps. I will definitely return when I visit the area again.

We stopped in last minute after a day at the beach and were so happy we did! The casual atmosphere paired with quick and friendly service, delicious beers, and yummy food were everything we were looking forward to finding here. And bonus, juices and games to entertain the kiddos! We ordered: multiple beers - all so good, my favorite was definitely the West Coast IPA, Neon Lagoon - so YUM! The coconut shrimp: super crunchy and perfect dunked in the coconut sauce. Giant Pretzel - it's a classic go-to with my kiddo and us adults always enjoy it too. And you can't go wrong with a stone ground mustard and beer cheese. Thai Chili Wings - all the yesss! Crispy, but still moist on the inside. The sauce flavor wasn't really spicy, but had such great flavor! Steak Frites - one of my favorites to order, as long as it's done correct, and this absolutely was! The parm fries with the truffle aioli made it everything I wanted it to be. We'll definitely be back again!

Beertown recently sponsored the Surfer Girl Pro in Oceanside and seeing the advertisements reminded that I have only been a few times back when it opened and should probably head back in and give it another try! So glad I did! Happened to go on wing Wednesday. They had some delicious smoked wings that paired awesome with my IPA! They have tons of beers on tap and almost any kind you can think of! The bartender/manager Mary is super cool. She knows which beers to recommend and how to pair them with the food. She is super friendly and personable! The one thing I always rate when deciding if I'll come back somewhere is the bathroom and their bathroom was 5/5! lol The spot is good vibes and good people. They play great music and all the customers are pretty cool! They are located on Coast Highway a little bit before you get into downtown, so it's not so crazy but still a downtown feel!

I've been wanting to check this place out for quite some time and I finally made it in last weekend! I came here with my dog and we had a great time. Our server was great, attentive, and offered Koda fresh water. The burger and fries were delicious!!!! I will definitely be coming back to try some other food times. The place is also really cute, open space and a nice patio area. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Just TRUST ME -- order the "FORGET ABOUT IT" sandwich with Cajun style fries and you'll be happy for the rest of your life.

This place is a little out of the way, but TOTALLY worth it. The food is amazing! I am not be a beer person, but I had the pineapple cider (?) and the "Forget about it" sandwich and it was AMAZING!

Cute industrial brewery type space with outdoor patio seating - which made this spot a perfect place to visit with our pup. Yummy beers on tap, and good food. We ordered the cubano + fish n chips, which were good if a little under seasoned. Loved the onion rings though!

Parking was a little rough and the lot was FULL, but I took that as a good sign I went around 2pm on a Wednesday and there was a nice mix of families, couples, etc. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outside in the sun or shade. I chose outside in the shade and it was quiet, relaxed, and really comfortable. I ordered the Dirty Bird and it was SO good. The chicken was crispy outside, juicy inside, not oily or dry. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, the fries were nicely seasoned, and it was a good amount of food. They happily put my pickles and hot honey on the side too. I asked for ginger ale and they offered ginger beer instead, which was a pleasant little surprise! The menu has a ton to choose from. I actually wished I had people with me so I could try more things And for my fellow IBS friends, the women's bathroom has TWO stalls. These are important details!! I'd absolutely come back and bring my husband. Although he ate my leftovers, so I'm still a little mad at him.

It took a while to be seated, and a while for our waitress to finally come over. With hungry children, that time is precious to us. The pretzel was honestly awful. Did they change fish? Tasted the same basically. Still amazing as always. We also tried some new dishes: Beef Tartare Chicken Thigh Skewers Green Curry Mussels The Beef Tartare was just okay. It's the only dish I probably would not ever order again. It wasn't bad, but compared to every other banger on the menu, it's last. Something has to be last. The Chicken Thigh Skewers were AMAZING! OMG, so much flavor in the chicken but the sauce really drove it overboard. Wow. These are a must try, you won't regret it. And lastly, the Green Curry Mussels blew us away. I love mussels and always order it whenever I see it on a menu. We devoured all of the mussels (and added the $9 Roti) and even got a container to-go to save the broth, lol. Truly another banger from Dija Mara. I really appreciate that the menu changes periodically without removing the veteran dishes we continue to enjoy. Just want to mention something besides the culinary spectacles. Dija Mara's decor is every bit as memorable as its food. The artwork isn't an afterthought--it's part of the experience. The dining room manages to feel both trendy and intimate at the same time, while the graffiti-covered back wall adds a playful, street-art feel that contrasts beautifully with the polished food and cocktails. The result is a space that feels creative, unpretentious, and genuinely cool. The industrial concrete and reclaimed wood elements give it a modern edge, while the Indonesian-inspired art creates a sense of place that feels completely unique in North County. This is really our happy place and I hope it never changes.

The restaurant was fairly empty although Resy wouldn't take reservations. Plenty of bar seating. The service was fair, not particularly warm or engaging, which was fine. The food was alluring and beautiful, but the flavors were salty, flat, and mushy. Starting with the Paloma, it was nothing special. Just something you could get with a well happy hour special. Serviceable but unremarkable. Very Instagrammable, however. The pork belly was nicely charred and had nice bite sized morsels on the skewer, good texture, but the sauce was very salty, almost bitter. Forced myself to eat the 2nd skewer, but could not push through the last 2. In contradistinction, the beef rendang was almost bland, like a microwaveable peanut butter Hormel beef stew, and the cardinal sin - the rice underneath was mushy. That was what sealed the nail on the coffin. Bland, albeit tender short rib, on top of smushy rice. Dead. I barely ate one of the 2 pieces of ribs and couldn't do more. The staff wanted to see if I wanted a take out container. When you see a customer that disengaged with the food, you'd better be wary. Being Asian, I don't like to waste food, but when it's so not good, I'd rather walk away and get something else than to finish a terrible meal. Many diners have a millennia of choices in this price point. Sadly, not sure how this restaurant got recognition because it's half as delicious as your typical neighborhood Thai restaurant. Banana Leaf at the Original farmers market in LA is better, though humble and homely. Just very disappointing. Hope it was an off night and that others have a better experience.

We ordered the Smoked Salmon Tartine, and it was SO good -- farmer's cheese, capers, pickled onion and dill on their sourdough. Honestly, the food was top tier. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, and after trying the bread we actually ended up buying some to take home! For drinks, we had a matcha latte with oat milk and the canned nitro cold brew. Just a heads-up for my fellow coffee people: the cold brew isn't made in-house, but that didn't stop it from being really good! We liked the coffee so much that we actually went over to the local coffee shop that supplies their beans afterward and bought some beans to take home. And definitely don't skip the bakery. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious, and the chocolate croissant had that super crispy, crackly exterior. I personally would have loved a little more filling to make it slightly more moist, but that's completely subjective -- if you love a crispier croissant, you'll probably LOVE it. The atmosphere might have been my favorite part. It's beautiful, calm, inviting and just has that perfect Carlsbad coastal café vibe. Between the food, fresh bread, pastries and atmosphere, this is absolutely somewhere I'd come back to whenever we're in the area. The reward for arriving on time is arguably the finest seat in the house: a sunlit patio table right at the open window, where the fresh Pacific breeze lifts the entire dining experience. Service, helmed by Hanna, is nothing short of stellar. Attentive and operating with remarkable emotional intelligence, she ensures every need is anticipated. While a flat Pepsi Zero was an early misstep (a swap for Coke Zero would be a welcome menu adjustment), the opening complimentary sourdough roll with maple butter was so good it disappeared instantly--prompting Hanna to thoughtfully bring a second with the appetizer. The famed spicy fried calamari brings bold Asian-inspired flavors, featuring a sweet-and-spicy dip reminiscent of classic egg roll sauces and a fiery drizzle akin to the sauce on a dragon roll. However, while the flavor profile hits the mark, the execution left room for improvement; the calamari itself landed on the greasier, lukewarm side, falling slightly short of top-tier benchmarks like Villa Roma. Any minor missteps evaporate when the Filet Trio arrives. It is, without hyperbole, a culinary masterpiece. Three beautifully cooked 3-ounce medallions are each elevated by distinct, harmonious toppings: rich crab and asparagus under a silky béarnaise; a sharp, savory combination of blue cheese fondue and crispy prosciutto; and a deeply flavorful green peppercorn sauce crowned with crunchy onions, all anchored by creamy garlic mashed potatoes. Each bite activates the palate in a completely different way, balancing contrasting textures and rich flavors seamlessly.
