We had another great meal at LTH, and the honey glazed shrimp with bacon really hit the stop. Highly recommend it!

Happy Hour M-F 3:30-5:30 Beef Birria Empanada ($7) - I loved how flavorful the consommé and garlic aioli were! I'd get this one again. Short Rib Taco ($6) - I appreciated how they loaded the taco with meat, but it could've been juicier and a little more flavorful. I'd go for the Spicy Shrimp Taco next time.

The food and ambience was extra nice. Super sick spot for da summer! They had a nice 7% beer that had me feeling extra trimmmm. Unfortunately, I forgot the name ! Solid pic for a cool dinner beach vibe

Rode down to LTH for lunch and to watch the finals of the FIFA World Cup (Spain vs. Argentina) . It was very busy but we still found seats. Ordered a couple beers and lunch. I had the Thai Fry Calamari & Shishito Peppers entrée (Coconut Panko Fried Calamari, Crispy Shishito Peppers, Serrano Aioli, Ponzu, Cilantro and Shaved Vegetables) while Matt had the Short Rib French Dip (Slow Cooked, Boneless Short Rib, Crispy Onions, Horseradish Cream. Swiss Cheese, Natural Au Jus and fries). Delicious food and great service considering the restaurant was packed

Haven't been here for brunch in a while and it was as nice as I remember! The brunch menu changed a bit since last time but kept my favorites and added some new intriguing options. This time I ordered the Beach Boy Croissant egg sandwich which was delicious. My husband and friend both ordered the Carnivore Hash, one with short rib and one with pork verde. The short rib one was amazing as usual and the pork verde one was good too. Our server was really nice and attentive, and the patio was nice with our dogs.

The food was creative and delicious. Love the menu options, especially the deviled eggs!!! They have a "girl dinner" which was a salad and french fries and a glass of wine which I thought was a genius idea!!!!"

This local hotspot caught our attention when passing through the area. The garage doors for walls drew us in! We wanted a quick bite for lunch and this spot did not disappoint! We both ordered the Chorizo Angus Burger! WOWZERS! Flavor on flavor - the chipotle mayo tied in perfectly with the burgers well flavored patty! The seasoning on their fries was different! But Yummy! Our bartender was super attentive with our service! Made us feel like locals :D

Was my first time at LTH and it definitely won't be my last!! They have a good happy hour with discounted food and drinks. We had the deviled eggs ($3each on HH and you can order them individually) with different styles daily. Last night, they were southwest style with a jalapeño and a corn chip in them - I could have made those my entire meal!! My daughter had the Caesar salad chicken wrap and she said it was really good. I had the Salmon All The Time roll and it was also delicious!! Our service was efficient and friendly. The vibe of the restaurant is good, with a large bartop and numerous TVs available. They had the large windows open and it was a little chilly, but they have radiant heaters above the tables, which really helped.

Cool spot! We went on a Saturday night, the football games were on and the crowd was good!! We were able to sit right away inside, had Jazmin as our server. She was super kind and was very attentive- helped me find a cocktail that worked for me. Which was a mezcal/mango/cilantro cocktail, was very delicious! Just wonder if it could be iced down a lil bit more (but that's solely my preference) Cannot rave enough about the Beef Birria empanadas...to die for. My man, had the pot pie which he housed and i enjoyed the Short rib French onion sandwich!! The portions are unbelievable, we left very satisfied tonight with our meals and drinks. Will absolutely be back to enjoy the bar next time! Thanks LTH & Jazmin!!

Came here on a fluke and so glad because we're moving to Oceanside and I can't wait to bring my family. Service was excellent, great recommendations and service from Kaila who rolled with the punches as we changed our opinion on order. Food had great flavor and the location is great for watching people. I didn't even grab a drink but the food will be a great reason to return for some drinking and people watching.

I like to try new things but I think the menu changed a little too much for my liking. I ordered some newer items that I didn't love. I came in for seafood stew and thy did not have it . Usually I got for that or the pot pie. I would still recommend just miss some of the old menu.

Ask the Community - Local Tap House & Kitchen

Is it good for large parties?

Yes, but it also depends on how you define a large party. The entire capacity can sit 75-100 persons. If your large group is around 8-12 persons, it's certainly easy. But allow wait time because it does get busy. It's a popular place. It would be…

    Does this restaurant take reservations?

    Yes

    Is this place kid friendly?

    Yes!!!

Do you still have outdoor seating?

    Yes they do

Hi does LTH have tvs and playing football? Thanks!

Plenty of TVs, but, NO playing football. You might break something. But, they have Football on those TVs

Is parking pretty available for Sunday lunch?

Yes, either in the parking lot or on the streets adjacent to LTH. Enjoy, it's always good and a great atmosphere.

Do they show the UFC fights here? Trying to find new venues to watch

The bar is not really a sports bar. They only have a few TV's and I don't remember ever seeing UFC. I would try Dogwood on Hwy k.

Do you offer any gluten free food items?

Yes! They have a few salads and side options :)

    Does this restaurant take reservations?

    They do not take reservations

    Do they take reservations?

    No reservations

Is this restaurant dog friendly? And do they show NFL games?

LTH is dog friendly.....as far as NFL games I'm not sure.

Would this be a good place to go for a group of 20?

Yes indeed it would. Feel free to send us an email to hello@exhaleoceanside.com and we can set your party up.

Do they have bottomless mimosas on Sunday?

No. Too bad. I hope they will someday

Is there seating that is wheelchair friendly? All the tables I see in the photos are bar height.

    There are regular tables available

How bad is the wait on a Sunday afternoon and are you stroller friendly?

To be honest, strollers aren't the easiest. Walkways, especially on the patio, are really narrow. Not impossible though!

Is the quinoa burger patty vegan or does it contain egg/any other animal byproduct? Thanks

It does contain a small amount of fresh eggs and mayo .

Is there Bottomless Mimosas if so how much and are they on Saturday's?

    Not anymore, and I'm sad.

Do you have a happy hour? If so, what are the hours and drink/food specials? Thanks!

    No happy hour here!

My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.

I LOVE something a little herbal or bitter-- this was not that, all 3 of us agreed it was undrinkable. She brought it back to the bartender for a lemon drop, that ended up being made sickeningly sweet, like biting into a cinnamon roll!! Can't we just get a normal drink!? There's a wide, wide range between Pine-sol and cinnamon roll. It almost felt insulting, honestly, like a bad joke.. I ordered one of their "specials" and it also came out tasting like cleaning solution. I know bitter Italian liqueurs, I'm not freshly 21, and I can usually get by with a drink I don't prefer, but this was (once again) soooo over-the-top bitter. It just didn't taste like something you should even put in your body-- cleaning solution is the most accurate descriptor. If you like your tiki bars low-key, The Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill has got you covered…read more If that sounds like a negative, it's not. In this case, "low-key" refers to a tiki bar that is not over-the-top; one that doesn't cause you to enter into an entirely different reality. There's a time and place for that sort of tiki bar but in a small coastal town perhaps you don't want or need to enter a fourth dimension. The Lobby is small (though larger than I'd anticipated), not noticeably dark (like many in the genre), and outfitted with a nice array of tiki-themed tchotchkes. Scooby Doo, playing silently on a small tv above the bar, is a perfect accompaniment to the pleasing decor. I both ate and drank here and found nothing not to enjoy. Tiki bars generally elicit happiness in me and this one, with its excellent server, did not change that mindset. An Astro Chimp ($14) was my tiki drink of choice, mostly because I was interested in trying a cocktail featuring cold brew. Very good, and it did not keep me up all night. Fish & Chips ($23) was a sizable and satisfying portion, plenty there to be shared by two. "Brussels" ($11), were also quite good and ample. You will not go hungry if you choose to dine here. The Lobby is a fun choice for your time in Oceanside. Stylish and satisfying on every front, I'd happily return. Other stuff: * There is apparently a stairway-accessible rooftop deck here but it was closed for a private event during my visit. If open, definitely worth checking out. * 5% surcharge is automatically added to everything you spend here.
