Atmospheric place with both indoor and outdoor seating, which made the experience really nice and comfortable. My friend and I ordered burgers -- personally, I felt like the burger could use a bit more sauce, and the fries were slightly dry. However, my non-alcoholic mojito was absolutely amazing -- very fresh with a nice sour taste, and I also asked for it without syrup. The service was fast, and the presentation was great. This is a bar with a really good selection of alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Overall, the place left a very pleasant impression on me.

Haven't been here for brunch in a while and it was as nice as I remember! The brunch menu changed a bit since last time but kept my favorites and added some new intriguing options. This time I ordered the Beach Boy Croissant egg sandwich which was delicious. My husband and friend both ordered the Carnivore Hash, one with short rib and one with pork verde. The short rib one was amazing as usual and the pork verde one was good too. Our server was really nice and attentive, and the patio was nice with our dogs.

Came here on a fluke and so glad because we're moving to Oceanside and I can't wait to bring my family. Service was excellent, great recommendations and service from Kaila who rolled with the punches as we changed our opinion on order. Food had great flavor and the location is great for watching people. I didn't even grab a drink but the food will be a great reason to return for some drinking and people watching.

My husband and I have visited LTH on multiple occasions and have had a pleasant experience every time. The food is consistently enjoyable and the service is always very good. The interior of the restaurant can get pretty noisy, but we've found their patio to be comfortable most nights. We have brought our dog on several occasions, and the restaurant staff has been friendly with her and happy to accommodate. Some of my personal favorite dishes have been the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap and the Ceviche. Not a big fan of their fries, but everything else I've tried has been great. I would definitely recommend LTH to anyone in the area, just know that it can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights!

This local hotspot caught our attention when passing through the area. The garage doors for walls drew us in! We wanted a quick bite for lunch and this spot did not disappoint! We both ordered the Chorizo Angus Burger! WOWZERS! Flavor on flavor - the chipotle mayo tied in perfectly with the burgers well flavored patty! The seasoning on their fries was different! But Yummy! Our bartender was super attentive with our service! Made us feel like locals :D

I like to try new things but I think the menu changed a little too much for my liking. I ordered some newer items that I didn't love. I came in for seafood stew and thy did not have it . Usually I got for that or the pot pie. I would still recommend just miss some of the old menu.

Was my first time at LTH and it definitely won't be my last!! They have a good happy hour with discounted food and drinks. We had the deviled eggs ($3each on HH and you can order them individually) with different styles daily. Last night, they were southwest style with a jalapeño and a corn chip in them - I could have made those my entire meal!! My daughter had the Caesar salad chicken wrap and she said it was really good. I had the Salmon All The Time roll and it was also delicious!! Our service was efficient and friendly. The vibe of the restaurant is good, with a large bartop and numerous TVs available. They had the large windows open and it was a little chilly, but they have radiant heaters above the tables, which really helped.

Local Tap House is awesome. They do it right! Great staff, food and music selection! We usually sit at the bar and hope we get KATE as our bartender. What a terrific experience when she's your bartender! Great drinks by the way!!! Ive had the Turkey melt, beef dip and Udon noodles! I love the shrimp and bacon appetizers! Did I mention KATE is the best bartender?!?!

My nephew was in town and since we were in Oceanside to take in the views, we headed over to LTH for lunch. We ordered the Blue Collar Burger (certified Angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, crispy fried onions, pickles, cheddar cheese on a Brioche Bun with a side of house cut fries. Washed down with a Kasteel Rubus Strawberry Ale. While my nephew had the Tempura Snapper Fish & Chips with house cut fries, Napa slaw and malt mayo. Service was friendly, on point and informative. Definitely, a place to stop into if you are in the area.

Good beer selection with some unique finds like a pickle beer. First time we came, the food was awful. It's been a few years, and glad we gave them another try. Fish and chips were very tasty, but a bit skimpy of a portion with just one piece of fish.

Local Tap House in Oceanside has a great atmosphere with plenty of inside and outdoor seating, good food, and friendly service. Located right off the 101, it's near a lot of the local attractions. Parking can be challenging on busy nights in their small lot, but there should be plenty of street parking options. There are plenty of screens showcasing sports to keep you entertained and the music selection was also pleasant. On this latest visit I had a pint of Firestone Walter 805 and the Shrimp and Bacon tacos. We also shared the Beet and Burrata salad. The food was phenomenal and our waitress was very attentive. It had been quite sometime since our last visit, but we won't wait so long to come back for our next visit.

Is it good for large parties?

Yes, but it also depends on how you define a large party. The entire capacity can sit 75-100 persons. If your large group is around 8-12 persons, it's certainly easy. But allow wait time because it does get busy. It's a popular place. It would be…

    Does this restaurant take reservations?

    Yes

    Is this place kid friendly?

    Yes!!!

Do you still have outdoor seating?

    Yes they do

Hi does LTH have tvs and playing football? Thanks!

Plenty of TVs, but, NO playing football. You might break something. But, they have Football on those TVs

Is parking pretty available for Sunday lunch?

Yes, either in the parking lot or on the streets adjacent to LTH. Enjoy, it's always good and a great atmosphere.

Do they show the UFC fights here? Trying to find new venues to watch

The bar is not really a sports bar. They only have a few TV's and I don't remember ever seeing UFC. I would try Dogwood on Hwy k.

Do you offer any gluten free food items?

Yes! They have a few salads and side options :)

    Does this restaurant take reservations?

    They do not take reservations

    Do they take reservations?

    No reservations

Is this restaurant dog friendly? And do they show NFL games?

LTH is dog friendly.....as far as NFL games I'm not sure.

Would this be a good place to go for a group of 20?

Yes indeed it would. Feel free to send us an email to hello@exhaleoceanside.com and we can set your party up.

Do they have bottomless mimosas on Sunday?

No. Too bad. I hope they will someday

Is there seating that is wheelchair friendly? All the tables I see in the photos are bar height.

    There are regular tables available

How bad is the wait on a Sunday afternoon and are you stroller friendly?

To be honest, strollers aren't the easiest. Walkways, especially on the patio, are really narrow. Not impossible though!

Is the quinoa burger patty vegan or does it contain egg/any other animal byproduct? Thanks

It does contain a small amount of fresh eggs and mayo .

Is there Bottomless Mimosas if so how much and are they on Saturday's?

    Not anymore, and I'm sad.

Do you have a happy hour? If so, what are the hours and drink/food specials? Thanks!

    No happy hour here!

My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.

This was my second time here, and I love everything about this place. First of all, kudos to the bartender--I forgot her name, but she was incredibly generous and kind. She accidentally forgot my drink and kept apologizing, but I told her it was totally fine since we had a large party. To make up for it, she gave me two shots instead of one and even added a big discount. The ambiance of this place is unique and very artsy. First off, they have a "wait to be seated" sign at their entrance, but it took a while to get anyone to seat us. When we were inside, we noticed there was another entrance and people were just walking in, so "waiting to be seated" was just an option? We ordered a beer and seltzer and it took easily 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. Drinks that were in cans by the way. Music was good, DJs were good, but the whole vibe of the place is kinda everywhere. This lighting in this place needs to be more dimmed. DJs are spinning right in the middle of the room, and there's a clothes rack just chilling against the wall. The baristas are way in the back, and you can't really tell who works there. It took equally as long to get the check as it did to get my drinks. We only had 1 round of drinks. I dunno, waiting for canned drinks just threw me off. I can't imagine how much longer it would have taken to get a mixed cocktail. I only saw one guy mixing drinks and a bunch of women just hanging around. I'm assuming workers that look like they don't work there.

Same Same, but Different? Not Quite…read more Hiya B.U.M.S., We recently decided to check out Same Same, hoping for an experience that was delightfully different. Our order for the night? The Thai-style New York steak, Khao Soi curry, and larb lettuce cups--all paired with a custom-crafted, half-Cranberry, half-Sprite. Before we even tasted the food, we almost ended up eating next door. The entrances are a bit of a maze, leaving us standing outside having a mini identity crisis about where we actually wanted to dine. Ultimately, we stayed the course and chose Same Same. The Larb Lettuce Cups: As a massive larb fan, I was hyped. Unfortunately, it fell a bit flat. My wife officially dubbed it "lackluster." While the ground beef was seasoned and the lettuce was beautifully crisp, when the lettuce is the undisputed star of your larb, it might be time to reevaluate the recipe. The Yellowtail Ceviche: To recover from the larb disappointment, my wife ordered the ceviche. It was a step up, but for a Thai spot, it was missing that signature kick. It really needed a handful of jalapeños to wake it up. In fact, nothing on the table was truly spicy until I deployed their house chili oil. The Khao Soi Curry: This was the absolute hero of the night! It completely saved the meal. It was rich and delicious, and it paired unexpectedly well with our New York steak--even though the kitchen served it well-done instead of our requested medium-rare. As dinner went on, it became pretty clear that this spot might cater a bit more to the happy hour and drinking crowd, especially considering my Cranberry-Sprite mix was arguably the most flavor-packed thing on the table. That said, the service was fantastic. The staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Pro-Tip: If you're ordering more than two items, do not let them seat you at the tiny tables for two. It's a high-stakes game of food Tetris you will not win. On the bright side, they earned major bonus points for boxing up our leftovers for us. Call me old-fashioned, but I feel like every restaurant should still offer that level of hospitality! Overall, I'd say give it a shot if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a cool atmosphere, but I wouldn't rush off your couch to get there.

I simply wanted to ask what he was serving and clarify the seating/pool arrangement, including any differences for hotel guests versus outside visitors. Instead of answering or letting me finish a single sentence, Eric repeatedly talked over me, curtly stating it was "sold out" with no explanation. When I tried to understand what exactly was sold out (the hotel, the pool, the rooftop bar, or seating), he continued interrupting and directing me to the hostess stand. He even scolded me that he had already repeated himself four times, while adding that I wasn't asking the question that mattered although he never let me finish a sentence. The entire interaction felt dismissive and almost hostile and condescending (insinuating I can't understand because of my ethnicity and that he was actively trying to make me leave rather than provide basic service or information) It was especially disappointing on a holiday when hospitality standards should be at their best. No amount of busyness excuses such rude, impatient, and condescending behavior toward a guest who was simply trying to ask a reasonable question. The hostesses were extremely nice and explained to me the difference between cabana, restaurant, and the pool seating for hotel guests vs non guests.
