I was in Oceanside while my husband was working nearby and decided to stop at LTH for lunch. This was one of my first times actually sitting down and dining by myself, and I'm so glad I chose this place! Parking was a little rough and the lot was FULL, but I took that as a good sign I went around 2pm on a Wednesday and there was a nice mix of families, couples, etc. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outside in the sun or shade. I chose outside in the shade and it was quiet, relaxed, and really comfortable. I ordered the Dirty Bird and it was SO good. The chicken was crispy outside, juicy inside, not oily or dry. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, the fries were nicely seasoned, and it was a good amount of food. They happily put my pickles and hot honey on the side too. I asked for ginger ale and they offered ginger beer instead, which was a pleasant little surprise! The menu has a ton to choose from. I actually wished I had people with me so I could try more things And for my fellow IBS friends, the women's bathroom has TWO stalls. These are important details!! The Quinoa burger was decent, and the shrimp & sausage fettuccini was pretty good... but we don't think we'll be back. It took a while to be seated, and a while for our waitress to finally come over. With hungry children, that time is precious to us. The pretzel was honestly awful. It's covered in pepper, and their attempt at doing that appetizer elegantly just fell flat. We've always loved this place. Brought my family today and very disappointed in the portion size. Ordered seared Ahi to put on a salad for an extra $14 and it was the tiniest portion of ahi. The salad was really dry so I asked for a little extra dressing and they charged me for the dressing. Going to a restaurant and being nickeled & dimed is very frustrating as we have many options in North County to dine. Haven't been here for brunch in a while and it was as nice as I remember! The brunch menu changed a bit since last time but kept my favorites and added some new intriguing options. Was my first time at LTH and it definitely won't be my last!! They have a good happy hour with discounted food and drinks. We had the deviled eggs ($3each on HH and you can order them individually) with different styles daily. Last night, they were southwest style with a jalapeño and a corn chip in them - I could have made those my entire meal!! My daughter had the Caesar salad chicken wrap and she said it was really good. Cool spot! We went on a Saturday night, the football games were on and the crowd was good!! We were able to sit right away inside, had Jazmin as our server. She was super kind and was very attentive- helped me find a cocktail that worked for me. Which was a mezcal/mango/cilantro cocktail, was very delicious! Local Tap House in Oceanside has a great atmosphere with plenty of inside and outdoor seating, good food, and friendly service. Located right off the 101, it's near a lot of the local attractions. Parking can be challenging on busy nights in their small lot, but there should be plenty of street parking options. There are plenty of screens showcasing sports to keep you entertained and the music selection was also pleasant. On this latest visit I had a pint of Firestone Walter 805 and the Shrimp and Bacon tacos. We also shared the Beet and Burrata salad. The food was phenomenal and our waitress was very attentive. In Addition to my last review, I would like to say that I saw a review that said the drinks were about $18 each. Almost every time I've gone there. I've gotten a $12 drink($9 on happy hour) so I don't know where that came from but maybe for the very fancy drinks it is 18 I just don't want people to be scared off from coming in because they think it's expensive. The things on the menu that are a little more expensive than others are things such as the salmon, which is beautifully prepared, a great portion, and so delicious. It's $26 which is way less than any other place charges for a mediocre piece of fish. Even places where you order fish at the counter charge more than that. Just my two cents. Also, some of the comments about the service really surprised me because every time I've gone and that's about seven times in the last year it has been fantastic. I can't wait to go on my day off this week! I feel that the owners take great care in selecting who they hire. We started off splitting mimosas and the Homey Hot Shrimp Bacon Tacos (three tacos) -- absolutely incredible. I ordered the Coconut Curry Udon Noodles with chicken breast, recommended by our wonderful waitress (she had braces -- wish I remembered her name, she was fantastic). I loved it -- 200% would come back just for that dish alone. To drink, I had the Duckfoot Honey Ale ("Drink this or the bees will die") and the Old Timer (an old fashioned). Both were excellent -- smooth, flavorful, and well-balanced. The birthday guy got the Short Rib French Dip and took the Chicken Orzo Goodness home for his wife -- he said the French Dip was delicious, and later told me his wife loved her meal too. My other friend had the Dirty Bird sandwich and grabbed the Bacon Truffle Mac & Cheese to go. Honestly, everything was amazing. We were all very pleasantly surprised. This place is truly a hidden gem! We stumbled upon it while heading home from SD to LA and are so glad we did. The atmosphere is casual and inviting with good music and perfect chill vibe. Our server Jazmin was amazing! Super friendly, fun, and full of great recommendations. The service was impressively fast for both food and drinks. They have a great variety of beers on tap, and I tried their Hazy IPA, Societe Bulbous Flowers, which was one of the best I've ever had, thank you Jazmin for the recommendation! My wife ordered the Pura Vida Smokey Mango Old Fashion, which she described as a "sipper", very strong, smooth, and delicious. For appetizers, we had the Thai Fry Calamari & Shishito Peppers along with the Fireman Sushi Roll, all super fresh and flavorful. For entrées, I went with the 60/40 Fritta Burger (a chorizo and beef patty you can actually taste), topped with a sunny-side egg, guacamole, and served with perfectly crispy and sweet fries. Hands down one of the best gourmet burgers I've had in a long time. My wife ordered the Pecan Crusted Scottish Salmon, which was equally amazing! The menu is fantastic, offering both unique creations and classic favorites. I also loved that one of the staff noticed my USC sweater and caught me turning my head around to watch the game behind me. My husband and I have visited LTH on multiple occasions and have had a pleasant experience every time. The food is consistently enjoyable and the service is always very good. The interior of the restaurant can get pretty noisy, but we've found their patio to be comfortable most nights. We have brought our dog on several occasions, and the restaurant staff has been friendly with her and happy to accommodate. Some of my personal favorite dishes have been the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap and the Ceviche. Not a big fan of their fries, but everything else I've tried has been great. I also usually get some extra horseradish on the side. The Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage is also a winner, so good! The drink menu is pretty solid as well. Whenever I have gotten fries here, they seem to be soft for some reason, but that's been my only complaint so far! Came here before going to a concert and omg what a nice surprise! I got the burger and added bacon and avocado into it and it was the BEST burger I've EVER had! I had a drink called the panti dropper lol it was really good, sweet hand strong and hit the mark! We sat outside and it was really nice, there are heaters on the patio so you won't be cold.
