This time was terrible the waitress was rude, slamming glasses in her table, having issues with our order and it took over an hour to get to get our food and which is very unusual for this restaurant I saw, and we saw other people getting their food that came there after us and seemed like our waitress put her own later, and she just seemed to have an attitude, not smiling and every time we ask for something it was like a problem. Her name was Jenna B. As soon as we arrived she had an attitude. We will go again, but hopefully we won't get this waitress. I wouldn't recommended anyone. We've always loved this place. Brought my family today and very disappointed in the portion size. Ordered seared Ahi to put on a salad for an extra $14 and it was the tiniest portion of ahi. The salad was really dry so I asked for a little extra dressing and they charged me for the dressing. Going to a restaurant and being nickeled & dimed is very frustrating as we have many options in North County to dine. Haven't been here for brunch in a while and it was as nice as I remember! The brunch menu changed a bit since last time but kept my favorites and added some new intriguing options. My husband and I have visited LTH on multiple occasions and have had a pleasant experience every time. The food is consistently enjoyable and the service is always very good. The interior of the restaurant can get pretty noisy, but we've found their patio to be comfortable most nights. We have brought our dog on several occasions, and the restaurant staff has been friendly with her and happy to accommodate. Some of my personal favorite dishes have been the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap and the Ceviche. Not a big fan of their fries, but everything else I've tried has been great. We had the deviled eggs ($3each on HH and you can order them individually) with different styles daily. Last night, they were southwest style with a jalapeño and a corn chip in them - I could have made those my entire meal!! My daughter had the Caesar salad chicken wrap and she said it was really good. Parking can be challenging on busy nights in their small lot, but there should be plenty of street parking options. There are plenty of screens showcasing sports to keep you entertained and the music selection was also pleasant. On this latest visit I had a pint of Firestone Walter 805 and the Shrimp and Bacon tacos. We also shared the Beet and Burrata salad. The food was phenomenal and our waitress was very attentive. We started off splitting mimosas and the Homey Hot Shrimp Bacon Tacos (three tacos) -- absolutely incredible. For appetizers, we had the Thai Fry Calamari & Shishito Peppers along with the Fireman Sushi Roll, all super fresh and flavorful. For entrées, I went with the 60/40 Fritta Burger (a chorizo and beef patty you can actually taste), topped with a sunny-side egg, guacamole, and served with perfectly crispy and sweet fries. Hands down one of the best gourmet burgers I've had in a long time. My wife ordered the Pecan Crusted Scottish Salmon, which was equally amazing! The menu is fantastic, offering both unique creations and classic favorites. I also loved that one of the staff noticed my USC sweater and caught me turning my head around to watch the game behind me. Been pleasantly surprised by the food menu the last couple of times I've visited. The sandwiches are pretty solid, I usually go for the French dip. I also usually get some extra horseradish on the side. The Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage is also a winner, so good! The drink menu is pretty solid as well. Whenever I have gotten fries here, they seem to be soft for some reason, but that's been my only complaint so far! I was really disappointed with our experience at Local Tap House in Oceanside. Unfortunately, the service was poor from start to finish. We were served not one, but two dirty cups that still had crusted food residue inside them. We also ordered a Dr Pepper at the beginning of our meal and didn't receive it until the very end, after we had already finished eating. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of acknowledgment. Our server, Paula, who we were told is the manager, never smiled, apologized for the mistakes, or seemed concerned about the issues we were having. The service was extremely slow throughout the meal, and when we mentioned that we'd had multiple negative experiences, there still wasn't a sincere apology. The only resolution offered was removing the soda from the bill. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant, but how they're handled makes all the difference. If you haven't tried, DO IT! The food is fantastic! Everything was cooked perfectly. The fries were not soggy even with all the saucy additives, egg cooked to perfection, juicy short rib. The Salmon was also perfectly cooked, not dry at all not even the ends, flaky and juicy all the way through. The Reuben... the BEST reuben I've ever had. Shocked and amazed! Small but homey environment. Keara (I believe) was our server and she did a great job being patient with us and attentive.
