While I still love the arrangement and it was stunning when it first arrived, I do have a little update: I got my flowers Wednesday night and by Friday, many of them were wilting. I had another arrangement of flowers that were 4-5 days older and they looked like they were all from the same day. The other thing that is tricky is watering the flowers in the wooden box. There is some cellophane paper around the foam block to act as a guard, but since it isn't totally sealed, the water leaks out the bottom of the box and all over the counter. Still love my flowers and think they are beautiful.....just wanted to add these two comments as an FYI. read more

I've passed this shop a ton of times since living a few blocks away and always wanted to pop in, as it looks very inviting. As I'm looking to add some greenery to our apartment to help recovery from an upcoming surgery, I finally stopped in and the employer was on the phone. It is easy to find a florist who throws together brightly colored flowers without much thought to quality or design, but this florist goes the extra mile to make sure every piece is stunning, artistic, and cohesive. They clearly take pride in delivering the best possible product. With one arrangement, the owner personally called me the day it was scheduled to be delivered and asked if it was ok if he substituted a certain flower. He explained that he had inspected the flowers at the market that morning and determined that one he had planned to use was not of acceptable quality, but he wanted to make sure I approved of his substituting with another flower before he did so. I so appreciate him making sure that I got the best possible product and that I knew exactly what would be included in the arrangement. William was responsive, really understood what we were looking for, and told us to expect an estimate within a week. That was 2 months ago. I had reached out for a specific piece during a loss of a friend, and I had recieved a response almost immediaely; not an automated response, a note with substance to it. I wrote a review on Weddingwire.com for this vendor after my wedding in May of 2012 and today received an email saying it was disputed (whatever that means). I will re-post it here when I can, but to put it in a nutshell imagine discussing/planning all the details of your wedding flowers with one florist, she either quits or leaves the job for some other reason, so you meet with the owner, review all your arrangements with him, then the day of the wedding he leaves a message on your voicemail saying you've been "upgraded" (without being consulted in any way) and when you go to pick up your flowers, they are completely different than what you requested. Imagine you explained to him that your husband is a very modest type of dresser and wants something classic and petite for his boutonniere and what you end up with is huge, garish and prickly (yes, prickly like a cactus). Imagine the bride requested a petite, modest style of bouquet with all white flowers and then received a very large, colorful (albeit, lovely) arrangement instead, on the very day of the wedding when no other arrangements can me made. Not only is this wholly unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude, but I have to be reminded of it every time I look at my wedding pictures. Update: This vendor is so full of integrity that he has disputed the negative review I gave him on WeddingWire.com forcing me to provide them with proof that we did business 5 years ago, basically calling me a liar while admitting in his very response here that he serviced me and acknowledging his mistake.
