Absolutely no customer skill manners. The employee or owner had a very agressive tone. Unacceptable. Learn to control yourself. If you want to shop for flower there are plenty of other option in Hoboken that you should consider. I did not ask to be prioritized over others. I simply inquired about the expected wait time. Rather than receiving a clear response, I was met with irritation and raised voices, which I found unprofessional and unwarranted. If the workload is overwhelming, perhaps it's time to reconsider how the business is managed during peak periods. Losing one's temper with a customer is inexcusable. read more

A little jungle right on 1st St. They took over an old real estate office and turned a drab room into a beautiful green oasis that I can't help but stop in to anytime I am in the area. I've gotten a lot of gems here over the years and many gifts for my friends and family with green thumbs as well. Some of my favorites have been the pancake plant that is now 3x the size it was on the day I brought it home, this cool succulent that I have lovingly nicknamed the alien guy, a baby monstera and a cactus that hasn't grown an inch in 2 years, but hasn't died, so that is a win. On my last visit, I got a few leafy plants hanging plants as a gift for someone and when I was checking out I noticed they had those greeting cards that are made with seeds! I thought it was a pretty perfect pair to a gifted plant. The owners and the team working there are always friendly and helpful and answer all of my care questions. They recently added a bunch of pots, propagating vases and plant accessories. They also have fresh cut flowers and can make you arrangements. I haven't done this yet, but my friend that lives in Hoboken gets an arrangement from them every few weeks and they are always so beautiful. It's always such a treat stopping in here! read more

Absolutely stunning flower/plant shop! Feels like a you are walking into a jungle when you walk through the doors and the beautiful floral smells hit you like a ton of bricks! My landlord recommended this place when we moved to the area and we have not been disappointed!. The duo that opens the place are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They checked the soil of my succulent and watered it for me and informed me how to take care of it. They also sell beautiful bouquets that are wrapped in burlap for a really rustic feel. My boyfriend purchased a dozen roses here for valentine's day and they were the most beautiful bouquet I've ever received. I used to be a former customer when they used to be located in Ridgefield. A year ago 2018 I got married and moved to new apartment and wanted to decorate my new home with Soho plants! I decided to drive 30-40min to Hackensack new location and it was worth it! I brought total of 4 plants with me to my new apartment :) attaching a pictures of them. It's now over a year and all my plants are growing beautifully except one little plant pot(money tree) I'm pretty sure I over watered it too much and too often :( I will actually have to visit again for my friend's new home gift and planing to bring money tree with me to ask if there is a way to save this guy.. Ugh seriously in love with this store the store owner seems knowledgeable. And the plants are in almost perfect condition. I really had to stop myself from buying the whole store. If this store wasn't in hoboken (hate driving/parking in that town) I would constantly go and see if they have new plants in stock. They offer hand sanitizer and plastic gloves. Bought an orchid from here and it lasted only one week. It came in a super flimsy and cheap container that couldn't even retain any water. Those flowers are supposed to last 2-3 months. They clearly sold me a flower that was already dying (probably due to lack of care) with a super cheap "pot". I've never had an orchid last for this little time (these are supposed to be basic plants!). Also, the person working the store gave zero care in the world. It was as if my mere presence in the store and me giving him my money was an annoyance. I am a 2 minute walk away but never coming back due to the crappy products and impertinent staff. I rarely write BAD reviews. I use Yelp often, usually to find 4.5 specific businesses to ensure I will have a great experience. If a business can achieve and maintain a 4.5-star rating on Yelp, they are doing something right. You want to have a great meal anywhere in the world? Find a spot that maintains 4.5 on Yelp and you will be the star of your group for finding a great spot. I also love to support local, small business. I hate that the Lowes and Home Depot are devouring decades-old family businesses. Imagine my surprise when I went into Soho Flower and Garden yesterday and looked around for a minute and a tall Asian gentleman (not a gentleman at all actually) barely looked up from what he was doing, came towards me, turned and went behind the counter without even acknowledging me. I looked around for another minute and realized I would no sooner use this place to help decorate our 4-story brownstone in Hoboken than I would schedule an unneeded root canal. As I walked out, he never even looked up from whatever menial task he was performing. It's a plant shop so it's not like he was in the middle of saving a life. If he is the owner, don't be surprised when he has to get a day job when that spot doesn't make it. If he is your employee, fire him and your business will improve. Either way, our money will be spent somewhere else. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE STORE. HE WASN'T BUSY, HE WAS RUDE. read more

My husband ordered 4 flower arrangements for my baby shower from here, and the results were exquisite. I've never seen more beautiful flower arrangements in my life. They worked within his budget, and followed his directions to have something similar to what arrangements we had at our wedding (my husband planned this himself, so you know I didn't give him any pointers) and quite honestly, the flowers we got are far more beautiful than I had for my wedding (which was done by another florist). And... they smelled wonderful!!! So often from florists you will get dyed flowers that are mass grown and have virtually no scent - but Soho flower and garden provided us with some truly fresh and fragrant florals, in really sleek glass containers. It has been a joy so far having them placed around our apartment now, still looking great! I just adore them, and I'm honestly not a flower person. This place may have changed my mind! Just finished moving so I was a frazzled mess and needed something for my friend's birthday. Saw that they had flower crowns on their website, and remember them being so nice and helpful when we came here years ago. Katie was absolutely amazing and helped me out even though she was incredibly busy filling orders. Note to anyone who comes in, order at least 2 days in advance! Even though she didn't have time to make one, she was so helpful with what to pick out and advice on how to make one. She even gave me some wire to help keep things in place! My friend was so happy and the crown lasted all night. Definitely coming back and getting all the birthday flowers (and plants) here. Seriously the BEST flower shop that I have ever been to!! Came in for a fiddle leaf fig (First time fiddle owner) the owner was SO informative and friendly. Made me feel so comfortable about bringing the fiddle leaf home. Ended up leaving with a Rubber plant as well as pots for the two. The owner is so kind, accommodating, and amazingly talented. All the flowers (bouquets and vase arrangements) we've gotten were beautiful and incredibly long-lasting. Whatever your budget, he will always deliver on gorgeous arrangements. On several occasions I walked in without ordering in advance, and Dominic and his sister(?) were still able to whip up the perfect arrangement for each occasion with what they had on hand. I've seen the bouquets they had on hold for advance orders as well, and other than the variety of flower types, the quality is the same - always top notch. Highly highly recommend.
