Horrible BOTOX!! Its the Worst Job EVER! I question if they use Botox!! I believe its a Scam!! I lost $456- and my forehead, crowsfeet and frown lines barely even changed! A few weeks ago I would have given Before-N-After a 5 star review. After my past few weeks, that has changed. The past 3 years of my life have been very difficult and traumatic. As a result, I gained weight. I had been trying to get it off with healthy diet and exercise- however I have had hurdles that I didn't face when I was younger and trying to control my weight. For example, due to my excessive weight gain I was having issues with plantar fasciitis, and I suspect a hormonal imbalance causing out-of-control cravings and hunger. These issues, plus others, were making it very difficult to make the necessary changes to get healthy, causing extreme frustration and depression. My husband had a coworker who had success with a medical weight loss program like the one offered by Before-N-After, and urged me to give it a try. I was resistant because it went against everything that I had learned about how to lose weight in a healthy way, but eventually gave in because it was my last ditch effort. After some research, I started the program at Before-N-After. The program was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought the medication would make me feel jittery and otherwise icky. It didn't. All it did was make me feel more normal- meaning, the out-of-control cravings and hunger subsided, and I could eat in a healthy way without going crazy. It felt so good. I wasn't constantly thinking about sweets and snacks. I could eat a healthy meal and be satisfied, and then concentrate on other things. Losing weight felt almost effortless. With a better diet, I suddenly had the energy to workout again. I lost 40 pounds in about 5 months- when just previously I hadn't been able to lose anything!!! That's the good news. I have learned in the past few months that occasionally your body gets used to the medication, and that you need to increase your dosage to the next level. The first LVN that I was working with at Before-N-After explained this to me, and assured me that it was nothing to be concerned about, and that it is just to be expected every once and awhile. Recently I had noticed that the dosage I was on was no longer dealing with the cravings as it had initially, and I decided it was time to increase again. It just happens that a different LVN was on working on that day. Instead of listening to me about this issue, she gave me a lecture about the importance of eating breakfast. I eat breakfast every day. I tried to explain that to her, but she was not listening. Then she told me to take my medication later in the day, and after a meal- which is in direct opposition to what Tony (the original prescribing NP who I worked with) told me to do. Tony had told me that the medication would work better if taken on an empty stomach and first thing in the morning so that it wouldn't disturb my sleep. That was the routine that was working for me. I honestly feel that the medication had just stopped working at the current dosage, and that it was just time to up the dose. The original LVN had said that not only was that possible, it was to be expected- but the new LVN was making me feel as if this was in some way a failure on my part. This was extremely frustrating to me. I continued on the current dosage for another week, but could definitely feel the cravings and hunger increasing. I decided to go back in when the first LVN that I worked with would be there. She knew me better, and knew how I was doing on the medication. Unfortunately, every time that I have gone in for the past week and a half, the other LVN has been working. I live about 20 minutes away, so it is not super convenient to go in all of the time. I have been completely out of medication for a week now. So I went in today thinking that I would just go off of the program completely, because if it is no longer working for me, I don't want to spend money on it. The LVN who won't increase my dosage was working. She took my blood pressure (I had a borderline reading once, so they were required to take my blood pressure each time before dispensing medication), and indicated that it was too high for her to dispense any medication- which I understand. I think my blood pressure was higher because I was frustrated with having to work with her again. I just decided that the whole thing is not worth it anymore. I am frustrated because I feel like I found something that was helping me, and now I can't use it anymore. If there is a policy that they can't increase dosage, then I would understand. However that was never the policy before. It should be consistent regardless of which nurse you are working with. I feel like I know my body, and I should be allowed to judge if it was time to increase. I don't think the initial nurse would have had an issue with increasing. Anyway, I am going to find another medical weight loss center to work with. One that has a clear policy, not one that varies based on the nurse. read more

I really wish my face reflected any of the $300 I spent for Botox here last month. They do have a friendly and professional staff, nice doc and clean office. And they offered a no-charge touch up which would have been great if I hadn't moved out of state the week following my treatment. But I can't help but wonder, since I've had the same number of units injected numerous times before and never before saw such a lack of results, if their supply of Botox is seriously diluted. read more

Gosh it is impossible to speak to someone over the phone. All calls are sent to the Temecula location and if you are lucky enough for them to answer the phone they transfer you to the San Marcos location and then you leave a voice mail and 4 days later I have yet to receive a call back. There are many other aesthetic places to go avoid this place. I've had a few syringes of Juvéderm in my lips. I Love going to my LA doctor at plush derma however living in north county it is a commute so I found this San Marcos office. I'll agree with the other reviews the staff is not very friendly. But to specifically talk about my experience I had made an appointment to get juvederm added to my lips because I had a few hollow areas and bumpiness where filler could have easily filled the lips out and made full. I had two previous syringes done here and a few at the LA office. I was last at San Marcos 5 months ago and saw Debbie who did not want to add more filler and insist I wait, she acknowledge seen my areas of concern but explained that sometimes the filler needs time to settle so she recommended waiting a few months and then coming back and having the filler put in if it did not correct it self. So today I went in and was seen by Tony. He was the biggest asshole ever. I've barely had time to explain myself and what Debbie told me before he quickly said he did not feel comfortable adding more filler he did not even look at my lips and spoke to me halfway across the room. This location is very busy and it was very obvious he was rushing. I felt unappreciated as a customer and unsatisfied because he did not take the time to listen or look at my concern. He simply looked at my chart came in with his decision already made. I just wanted to leave happy. It was a complete waste of my time especially because no matter your appointment time you're always waiting. After I got bad vibes from Tony I lost interest in what he was saying because it was all BS I've had other experiences with other doctors that were much better, that actually listen to you, and want you to leave happy and give you what you want because at the end of the day it's your body your look and your money. I could not appreciate Tony's opinion so I took no interest in listening to his BS excuse of why he would not allow me a syringe of Juvéderm. I stopped making eye contact with him and my body language pretty much said it you should've took that as a clue to be more open to hearing what I have to say and making me feel like he wanted me to be happy instead he asked if I was listening as if I'm a five-year-old child. To say the least I ended up driving to LA and patronizing plush derma and I'm so happy. I totally regret wasting my time and money that before and after. If you want good service and you know what you want go see Dr. Reza at plush Derma. He has several locations and just open seven days and they do everything they can to get you in, I literally called today and asked if I can be seen and they told me I can have the last appointment and since they knew I was driving up from the San Diego area she said the doctor would wait for me. If I could give negative stars I would! First and foremost let me warn you...this place is DANGEROUS!! I went in for a weight loss consultation. Being a 18 year ER/Trauma/Flight nurse I waned to have medical direction. I made an appointment and arrive 10 minutes early. When I walked in the front desk girls were a bit snooty, but I can handle that. I told them I was there as a new patient. She told me to have a seat. After waiting 35 minutes, I was then asked to start filling out paperwork. I notified them that my appointment was 35 minutes ago. The gal gave me the fakest, "Oh sorry, we will get you seen." I filled out my paperwork. 10 minutes later I was placed in a room where a very young girl accompanied me and stated that the Nurse Practitioner was busy so she would be doing my consultation. Knowing there was no way this young lady could be an NP, I politely asked what capacity she worked in. She then proceeded to tell me that she was an LVN and she would be standing in for the NP. It is not only illegal in the state of CA for an LVN to perform an initial assessment, they certainly can not prescribe medications which is why I was there. She stated that she would relay the information to the NP who was busy doing Botox and get the orders from him. So you mean to say I was going to get medications from someone who NEVER SAW ME? Unacceptable! I was furious and I left. I attempted to call the regional manager to notify them of the situation and all I got was terrible customer service from the other locations and no answers. I have contacted the BBB and the state nursing board as this is unacceptable practice.
