Marcy (who works in the front desk) is very knowledgeable about the regional center and has contacts to help expedite the process. We've worked with Brittney for about a year and a half, and she has been instrumental in helping my daughter gain the confidence and skills to work on her expression. The therapy is play based and she makes it fun! We consider her more than our therapist, but a friend. Cheryl is amazing as well. She is sweet and is great at getting shy kids to open up. She would text us and call us in between appointments to check in, asked about the overall health of our family, and wrote extensive emails and reports to assist in our transition to the school district once our daughter aged out of the regional center. Also, the office manager Marcy fought to keep our services when they were prematurely terminated because we moved. She did that completely on her own without us even having to ask. Melissa Ahamad, (SLPA) started working with my son when he was at 15 months old my son cannot say anything other than Mama and Papa. Fastforward to today, he is now 2years old and has over 80 words though not perfectly pronounced but still a big big improvement from how he was before. We started with sign languages then to minimal words. He hits himself when he cannot express his emotions, so when he started to use and understand the word NO, hitting was gone. It's such a relief. Kids express themselves better through language. At the end of each session, Melissa would give me recommendations for me to continue what she's doing with my son. Goals are set at each period and we try to meet them, e.g. follow steps, identify 5 objects, action words etc. At 2 years old, NLARC added another therapy for my son which is Child Development Services/ Infant Stimulation Therapy. Ernesto is my son's therapist for this service. He is also great! I have lots of questions regarding my son's behavior and development and he answers them patiently and explain everything to me, he even brought a book as reference for our topic. Their Supervisor Dara is also awesome! She evaluates my son's progress and works/plays with him well even though she's technically a stranger for him cos he has only seen him twice but she got my son to play with him unlike the other evaluator who would just stop trying just because he's shy. My oldest is in kindergarten and was well-prepared to begin. He absolutely loved attending Good Shepherd since he was a baby. My younger two are 1 and 3 and they love going to school. The 1 year old reaches for her teacher in the morning and is always happy when I pick her up. Her diapers are changed regularly and she is extremely well cared for. My 3 year old runs to class with a big smile on his face and loves to tell me about his day. They offer a couple of extracurriculars in the afternoon. Soccer Shots is on site once a week and my little guy loves it! Highly recommend and I will be sad when we age out and are no longer part of the program.

Winter can be a bit reserved at first but Brittany helped her feel comfortable extremely quickly and built a great relationship with her. Winter was excited to see and engage with Britany, which was very helpful in getting her through the intensive program. We started myo because of Winter's severe teeth grinding, and within 5 days of starting the mouth exercises, Winter stopped grinding! We couldn't believe it but she truly stopped within that first week. We continued the program as we wanted to ensure the grinding didn't start back up and also wanted Winter to have the ideal oral resting posture in the long term. Towards the end of the program, Winter became a silent sleeper - mouth completely closed and quiet as a mouse, couldn't hear her breathe at all. She wakes up well rested and ready to go from having great sleep. Brittany was so great with Winter, firm enough to get Winter through the exercises properly but also warm and friendly so that Winter looked forward to meeting with her.
