We were driving home from Royal Oak and wanted to find some Arabic bread to go with our dinner. Saw Beirut Bakery was in our way home but we'd be cutting it close for closing time. We made it about 5 minutes before they closed and we almost didn't go in because we figured we'd get an attitude this close to closing on a Friday. Not true! The girls that worked there were amazing! Very helpful and didn't rush us at all. We just grabbed our bread, hummus, rice pudding and some candy. All for under $20! The store is cute and clean and organized. Very nice! Food was good as expected and my husband loved the candy. Can't wait to go back and really order some food. BTW someone came after us and after the open light was off and they let them in as well. Pretty good for younger people working and it being a Friday. Very impressed.

The Prepared foods and the raw kibbie on Fridays is the best. However, watch the register I have been double charged.

I enjoy Beirut Bakery food items, however the food is usually very salty to me. Use less salt and let people add more if they choose.

The staff members that waited on us were so kind and helpful with our questions. I ordered the chicken tawook platter a small hummus and fattoush salad. The portion sizes were enormous and would be plenty to share between 2 people easily. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the rice cooked beautifully, and the charred vegetables delicious! This business needs some love as we were the only people in the restaurant at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night.

We were surprised to see we were the only ones in the entire dining room. The staff greeted us right away and got us seated immediately. The dining room does not have the typical decorative flair of most middle eastern restaurants in our area, but they are fairly new. When our waitress came to the table, we asked about recommendations and she offered a few. I decided on the chicken and beef shawarma dinner combo and my wife went with the Chicken Tawook. The waitress pointed out the traditional spits that they cook the shawarma on in the kitchen. Both meals came with a lentil soup and salad, which we picked the fattoush. To start, the lentil soup was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. However, the fattoush salad was excellent and dressed perfectly. They topped it with fresh pomegranate seeds and the right amount of dressing. We ordered a small hummus, which was nice and creamy. I wish they made the soft pillowy bread in house, but it was just the standard pita bread. The amount of food you get for the price is outstanding. The shawarma combo was a great way to try a couple items. The chicken shawarma was pretty good (I am not always a huge chicken shawarma fan) as it was a little dry. However, the beef shawarma with the garlic pastes and rice were on point. The real winner was my wife's Chicken Tawook. The chicken was moist, flavorful and just delicious. You can definitely split one meal for two. To end, the waitress surprised us with a delicious dessert she called the Beirut Dessert, it was yummy. Overall this place was good. We will definitely go back to try some other options. It is hard in an area with so many middle eastern options, but I hope they do well. Stop by and show them some love.

It was a lot of food & they even helped me take it out to the car! The food was so good, so fresh! The bread was delicious! The seating area looked nice and clean too. The food was good - I got the chicken shish kafta which was soft. Just needed some hummus with it and it was great! And I don't remember what it was called but there's a dish under lunch specials which has chicken and sauce on fries and it was SO good. Probably the best thing we had. However the other chicken dishes were dry - chicken sajji was hard to cut and so so dry even with all the sauce on it. And the chicken shish tawook was hard and dry. It was our first time and I wish our waitress had given us a little more help in what was a popular pick, she just kept saying everything tastes good. Which is fine but if we're genuinely asking, it's because we are actually looking for recommendations! Overall it was good but definitely not getting any grilled chicken because this experience was not great with it.

The food is even better than its predecessor in the same location. In my opinion, it has the best fahsah (even better than another Canton location or their Dearborn twin restaurant). More flavor, more meat, and a tastier crunchier bread to go with it. The other options have more variety than many other places. I like the broiled chicken, the chicken shawarma, shawarma combo... tons of delicious options. I can't stop thinking about the fahsah, though. It's a "stick in your mind forever" kind of dish, especially the way they prepare it here. The appetizers (Kibbee, Ghanouj, Hummus, Spicy Potatoes) were all fantastic. Careful with the veggie grape leaves, though! They tasted like a pile of bitter lemon and were a bit tough to eat - only bad thing I've ever had here. One of the biggest improvements over the restaurant that was here before is the service. Previously, we went and felt ignored as the servers left water cups empty and didn't bring parts of our meal and chatted with their friends - the service was terrible. This new restaurant, with a different menu but with some familiar items, doesn't share the same fate - the team members here are attentive, and friendly, and the place feels cleaner and more well-kept. I highly recommend going to Al-Jannah. Did I mention the fahsah enough times yet? :)
