Stopped in the afternoon after the eclipse and it was packed. But they handled it with grace. I had a chicken salad sandwich which was very good with a side of sweet potato fries. For dessert I had Oreo cheesecake which was as good as mine. Lovely decor. Clean. Would definitely go back. read more

Beks is a trendy little spot in the heart of downtown Fulton. Their parmesan artichoke dip is legendary and comes out piping hot, gooey, and delicious. It's a great spot to grab a fancy coffee or nice glass of wine if you don't have time for a full meal. I always liked trying their specials of the day because it changed up my normal routine and was consistently very good. Sometimes the service is slow on weekend nights which can be frustrating, but it just gives you an excuse to start with the dip. read more

I am from a bigger city, came to Fulton for business an expected there to be nothing good to eat but maybe a hole in the wall diner (this makes me sound very close minded, I am not) was told I had to give Beks a try. I was beyond surprised. The food has great flavor, great atmosphere, and an amazing wait staff. I have eaten here multiple times during my 2 week stay. Eating here almost makes you forget your in a small town, but yet at the same time captures what it means to be a smaller town. We spent so much time at Westminster College's Winston Churchill museum that we were absolutely famished. Somebody at the museum suggested this place, a short jaunt over and we found it. First impression, this building is so obviously old and must be full of history, the ambiance of the renovation was very inviting. We came at lunch, but our lunch menu was far from sparse. There were so many options and very reasonably priced, that it was really difficult to make up your mind. We had multiple gluten-free diets in our group, they said that the gluten-free buns were so good, it couldn't possibly be gluten-free. But they were indeed free of the gluten. The produce and meat was so fresh, there was no "funkiness" at all. I usually don't order chicken at restaurants, but I tried their Southwest Chicken Salad, and the chipotle chicken was done so well! The hostess took a while to take notice of us. Once we were seated the waiter was really ignorant of the beer I was inquiring about. Then he forgot to bring my beer twice, which I guess was understandable because he was talking to a table of his friends about his snapchats. I ordered a steak salad medium well. My boyfriend ordered a steak sandwich medium rare. The steaks were cooked opposite to our order, and when the waiter finally came by to ask about our food, he ran away before we could answer or let him know about the mix up. I even left the bloody pieces of steak on the side of my plate, and he didn't notice. This was disappointing. Sorry Levi made a bad impression. read more

We were pleasantly surprised! Being from out of town, we were faced with Denny's or McDonald's for dinner near the hotel. A cashier at the convenience store recommended we drive the six miles into Fulton to Bek's. The atmosphere was very soothing in the Brick District, the food was exquisite, and the prices were more than reasonable! The service was impeccable. Four of us enjoyed their renowned artichoke dip, a mouth-watering ribeye, salmon salad, pasta, burger and chili, no room for dessert. Food is always great, but it's a bit pricey for lunch. Special events or occasions are done extremely well. Really pleasant ambiance with exposed brick and local art decorating the walls. Too noisy for easy conversation during "on" times -- suggest going a bit before/after the crowd if you want to talk. Service is hit or miss depending on who you get, but the owners are great and will make sure any issues are resolved if you have to bring things to their attention. read more

The pork chop was moist and had a nice sauce. The ribeye steak was medium rare and melted in your mouth. The Beck's Burger is tops. Excellent beef! A large selection of micro beers and micro brew drafts. The drafts were a bit more pricey than expected but good. The price for the above three meals and one micro brew was $68 without tip. To begin, we went to Bek's on a very busy Saturday night. Thankfully, we only waited about 10 to 15 minutes to get a table. unfortunately, they seated us right by the waiting area, in a draft, and under a moving fan. The fan kept making the light above it appear to flicker. We asked if we could turn off the fan. This they could not do, so they re-seated us on the other side of the restaurant. This made me very happy because it took me away from that unpleasant environment. Our waiter was prompt, but he missed bringing out our salads until the meal came, so he reduced our bill and we didn't even need to complain or say a word. Our food was lovely. I had the rib-eye steak with garlic mashed potatoes. It was cooked medium which was perfect. My husband had a chicken and cream sauce pasta. He said it hit the spot. Also, we shared a large order of artichoke dip before our meal. It was yummy. the pita bread was toasted perfectly. It wasn't overdone like a hard cracker, and it wasn't underdone like a sponge. The waiter also let us have some vegetables and pita bread with it which I love. The appetizer, salad, and meal filled us, so we had to bring our leftovers home. I love good leftovers! I also brought home a piece of their carrot cake to eat the next day. It was so big that my husband and I shared it. My husband doesn't usually like carrot cake, but he likes Bek's.
