2nd time to try this place. Never like to write a review after only 1 try. 1st try we all had shrimp poor boy. Not great but I'm in MO not down on the Gulf Coast. This time I had patty melt with onion rings both were good. My hubby had bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries he said both were good but the put the wrong cheese on it. He prefers pepper jack cheese. Do not drink the tea. I sent it back the last time and this time wasn't much better and that & the cheese caused them to get the 4 stars from me. TVs are great so we could watch the Olympics. What a great dive bar! Very casual, fun, and good TVs for watching the game. The service was good and the staff was eclectic and quite entertaining on a Monday night. Not exactly family friendly after 9. There were clearly local regulars out on the patio as they were openly enjoying the newly legal recreational 420. Very disappointed in this place because of how neat it is inside. So much potential.. food was literally microwaved, but took over an hour to come out, although there were only two tables in the entire place. My nephews chicken nuggets tasted better than my "charbroiled chicken breast sandwich". Our waitress seemed like she couldn't care less about her job. I was in the area to look at the Colonel Bolton House and stopped here for lunch. The gal at the bar was not very friendly and the food wasn't that great either. The price was right and it's a neat place as its a converted Post Office to a bar. I don't know that I would ever stop by again, but when the local college is in session this place might be fun at night. read more

Had not tried this place since moving back here a year ago. Had family members coming in on a Sunday so choices were slim. A friend had said they have good catfish and goes there often so we tried it. We were very pleased overall. One person had the tenderloin and onion rings and said it was very good. One person had the chicken sandwich and fries, also good. Another had the fish plate with French fries and found the fish outstanding. I had the buffalo chicken wrap, which was very tasty and their fries have a coating, which makes them quite good. The only disappointment was the chefs salad. It had a lot of cheese but very sparse and finely chopped ham, chicken, and maybe bacon? Most chefs salads have egg and we were told they do not ever have eggs in anything. So, would not order it again. Our server was excellent. There were several families there and a pretty good crowd. Will definitely return. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of eating at the PO this evening. When I pulled up to the bar, the outside was trashed; inside the bar wasn't much better. The bar atmosphere screamed "poor management and mediocre food." I was hoping the actual experience would be better, but sadly I was mistaken. The waitstaff was rude, and I waited forever for my food... be mindful they were not busy at all. When I got my food, I was beyond disappointed. My sandwich consisted of nothing more than stale bread and undercooked food. My appetizer was soggy and grease filled, and my side salad was browned and wilted. I went to the bathroom and there was what I assume was vomit for the previous night all over the floor. I will never set foot in that establishment again In short, please Don't waste your money! read more

I used to eat at the Post Office pretty often. My girlfriend and I went for their tenderloin sandwiches or a reuben with deep-fried mushrooms. Not a particularly healthy meal, but satisfying. The inside of the restaurant is extremely cigarette-smoky. On our last trip, the waitress and then the manager REFUSED to serve us mushrooms with the sandwich. We have had this combination for years but we were told it was never available. We asked to pay extra for the mushrooms, but were still refused. We cancelled our order and on the way out I pointed out to the manager that the onion rings were the same price as the mushrooms and I could substitute onion rings. He told us that he would be losing money if he gave us the mushrooms, but not the onion rings?!? Then he told us it was fine with him if we went elsewhere. The Post Office has the potential to be a really cool sports bar. The building, a real post office in it's former life, has two large rooms. The original lobby had a pool table and space to hang out, but lacked any warmth. The main room, what would have been the mail sorting room had a long bar (where we sat) plus a bunch of tables and chairs. The reason I say that this place could be so much more is because there is some really cool architecture, which they completely covered up with TVs placed in the wrong spots. I guess the local residents don't care, but I think this place could look cool. It's really smokey, and for someone who has gotten very used to the smoke-free bars in St. Louis, it was enough to keep me from going back. I can't speak to the food, but I'm guessing it has standard bar food. The beer was cold and they had a typical selection on tap, and the bartender was attentive enough. If you are into smokey dive sports bars, it's up your alley. If not, you might look for another option. read more

First off, this place is meant to be drank at only. Eating shouldn't be allowed. Second, the drinks are dirt cheap. Hence why one should only drink here. They have a VERY standard list of beers and liquors. Nothing fancy, just stuff that will get you on another level. I enjoyed the fact that they served pitchers of not just beer, but margaritas, LITs, and other stiff drinks. Yep...pitchers of the stuff. The crowd can be and usually is rowdy. It's in a college town, so it's to be expected. Aside from the forgettable food, my biggest beef with this place is the absolutely ridiculous uniforms they make their waitresses wear. I haven't seen that many ass cheeks since my last visit to Night Trips. The waitresses are also forced to wear a frilled shirt with a bowtie. The uniforms are tragically bad. With all of that being said, I will drink here anytime I'm in Fulton. Because...well...it's one of 3 bars to drink at in the whole damn town. read more

This review is based on multiple experiences at this establishment. Prepare yourself for unbridled, blunt honesty... I'm not going to be a complete twat and rate them 1 star, but I certainly can't be any more generous than 2. That being said, this place has it's good points, but it also has enough bad to warrant some changes. The bathroom door near the front entrance doesn't close all the way, nor is it labeled. Only 2 pool tables for as popular as the place is, so good luck getting on one during a busy night. The food is good, but pricey. The staff is a mixed bag. Seems they'll hire anyone and the owner...well, I'll just keep my thoughts. Their wifi isn't free, even though they say it is. To expand a bit on that, I was there once, during the day, around 1pm, during a weekday, so it was not busy in the slightest. I was outside on the patio, minding my own business, using their free open wifi as I didn't have cell service at the time and needed to fill out a few applications online. It wasn't long before the waitress came over and asked if I needed anything. I politely declined and went on about my business. About 15 minutes later, she comes back, "are you sure you don't need anything?" Me: "I'm sure." Her: "can I get you a drink maybe?" Me: "is the water free?" Her: "it's bottled, so no." Me: "oh, well that's okay then, I'm fine without anything." So she leaves. 5 minutes later...here she is again, claiming that I have to buy something or leave. I told her that's fine, I just have to message someone for a ride. She leaves. 2 minutes later, here comes the owner, getting very ignorant with me, talking about I need to leave or he's gonna call the cops. Keep in mind, this is during the slowest part of the day, all the tables on the patio were empty except mine and literally 1 other. The patio bar, the inside bar, and the tables inside were all completely empty. I wasn't bothering anybody, I was minding my own business. So, yeah, not to thrilled with some of my experiences there. I'll give them a three for the "Bar" side lol. I enjoyed hanging out there in my younger days but their food is more to be desired. A group of us went (probably 14 or so, large) and the food arrived after a while. I expected to wait. We were some of the only people in there. There was only 1 waitress in the whole place from what I could tell. I got a BLT, surely no one can mess that up. They used tiny, thin, already cooked bacon, shredded lettuce, and what looked like tomato's a little larger than cherry tomato's cut up. It was probably the worst BLT of my life. They get a three for having an amazing outdoor seating area, especially for that location. Do yourself a favor and skip it for lunch. This is our go to restaurant in FULTON. We go there at least once a month. The food is always good and the service staff is great. This is one of the only bars in Fulton conducive to patio drinking, so it's naturally a good choice for this lovely time of year. The drinks here are strong and cheap. I really can't stand the outfits they make their waitresses wear though. I saw ass cheeks hanging out on several occasions and it may be appealing to some people but certainly not the majority of anyone I am ever with. We give this place three stars...... It's a bar with a restaurant and even though a lot of the reviews are somewhat negative this place fits the community. It's a fun bar to go have a few beers/cocktails and hang out. We like that aspect of this place. If you want to get an "okay" meal then it's okay as well. The food is priced right and the drinks are priced very well. Personally, I don't care for overpoured drinks heavy on the alcohol and that is what you get here. But, this place gets a mix of local college students and local younger people. The owner is a native Fulton and is a super nice guy. Every time we have been the servers have been decent and attentive. The food is somewhat slow to come out but that just means you can enjoy your cocktail. They DEFINITELY need to learn how to make a Bloody Mary. Come on...... Bloodies don't come in small cocktail glasses. Hell, put it in a big glass, but some veggies in it, make it look great and I will pay twice what you charge for sorry little Bloody you serve. read more

Do not waste your money or time on the food. The service was awesome and the only good part of our experience. I do want to add that it is no fault of the cooks as our food was cooked properly but the food quality itself. Can't fix that unless you get a different vendor altogether.
