Bel Air is one of those places that has become part of my regular mom-life routine, and honestly I'm grateful it's nearby because it makes everyday errands feel a little easier. Between work, kids, activities, and everything else life throws at you, grocery shopping isn't always glamorous -- but this location is consistently clean, well stocked, and easy to navigate, which matters more than people realize. I can usually get in, grab what I need, and get out without it turning into a full production. One thing that really stood out on my last visit was the floral section. It was so organized and there were tons of options to choose from, and the orchids were especially beautiful. It's such a small thing, but having flowers available that actually look fresh and well cared for makes a difference if you're grabbing something for home or a gift, like I was doing. The produce section is fresh, the selection is solid, and I appreciate that I can find both everyday staples and the occasional specialty item without needing to make multiple stops. The bakery and prepared foods are also great for those nights when cooking just isn't happening. I love their garlic rotisserie chicken. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when I've needed something, and checkout moves pretty fast although I do not go during peak hours, so there is that. Usually I'm able to find everything I need. I use the app to clip as many coupons but I wish they just auto applied instead. Came by to redeem my free birthday cupcake. I was helped out quickly when looking at the display case deciding which cupcake to get. I often get various cakes here as well and my sister likes the fruit tarts. I have been shopping at this Bel Air location for almost 5 years. I love the convenience because it is located across the street! I appreciate that I can drop my ballots off when it is election time. I love the ability to get coffee if needed. They also have a hot food section! I like their Something Extra rewards program! I love the amount of coupons too. I just recently downloaded their app, so I am trying to be vigilant with clipping the coupons! I buy all of our groceries here. I wish the store was bigger and had more variety but it's enough for us! I like the personal environment as well.... I know a handful of the cashiers and they know my name! The employees look happy, which tells me that management and company is awesome! Many of the employees are long time employees too! read more

Even at their busiest (and at night lately they are always short handed) they are always helpful and do their best. Too bad management is forced to sacrifice the old school standards of excellence in order to keep their doors open. Their prices, while not the cheapest in town have significantly gone down this past year. I grew up south my mother shopping at Bell Air when it was still family owned, prior to the Raley's takeover. I have a soft spot for this store. Even with them closing human manned check outs very early each day they will still open one of you ask then to. Try getting that kind of service at any other grocery store in town. read more

This used to be my favorite grocery store but after both store and staffing hours were recently cut they now close all checkstands starting anytime between 7 and 8 PM (it's never really consistent so hard to plan around). It's very inconvenient with a cart loaded with a week's worth of groceries being forced to go through self-checkout. Been going here every week for almost 20 years but may soon switch stores due to the inconvenience and decreased customer service. read more

I think this is the first supermarket in the Elk Grove/Laguna Creek area. This Bel Air is still very good as the day when they open more than 30 years ago, but still showing the age! The meats and veggies still the best qualities in town. The customer service still the best compared to any supermarkets. The price is a little higher than the bargain markets, but you are getting what you're paying for. The store has done a couple of remodeling before, but it looks very outdated now after the remodeling many years ago! I think is time Raley's/Bel Air management should look into updates this store with the new modern remodeling soon! read more

Food was garbage in the Chinese food section the young Asian cook did not want to be there. You need to bring back the old men and lady that used to work there the food when the old man cooked it was on point. I also got fried chicken it was not up to the old man's standards. As of Sept 2024 I will (Never eat there again).. The the grocery store it's self is fabulous. Ohh and the fresh sandwich deli is to die for. I give the Chinese food 2.5 rate. I've been here a few times now. It's a big grocery store with a nice selection of every department categories. It's basically the same as Raley's. You can even use the Raley's rewards card here. Same owners but a different name! They have your usual customer service desk, fresh produce, meat department, water/juice/sodas, deli, bread, organic products, cleaning supplies to household products and much more. To the right of the store, a little area is where you'll find the RedBox movie rental!! They also sell/exchange propane tanks for your grill! Overall, a nice clean store. Wide aisles. Ample shared parking lot. ( unless it's a holiday ). Nice employees. Clean bathrooms. Fresh products. What's not to love?!?! We all need groceries in our neighborhood!! read more

Bel Air is a good spot for groceries. The store itself is an older building. Bathrooms are tidy and clean. Lots of name and store brand items, good produce, good meat, nice and professional employees. I'm in there 3/4 times per week. Easy to find items. Good bakery and deli selections. I was very disappointed ran in for a quick stop to pick up a few items. I always go here because I like a positive shopping experience so I don't mind paying the extra. I went to self check out and the signs were not clear. I attempted to ask the man that was working there (Short hefty perhaps Filipino) for assistance and I promise you would think I was a ghost. He stared right through me. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I stepped to him and spoke a little louder perhaps he didn't see me. He looked me dead in my eye and walked away back to his register. Bel Air is my go to market! Conveniently located off of Laguna Boulevard. They take care of all my postal needs whether purchasing stamps or mailing a package. As I entered the store I was greeted by a beautiful floral department with a amazing array of flowers. A perfect place to get that last minute gift!. Have you seen the produce department? Aisle and aisle of the freshest fruits and vegetables . Your choice of Organic or Non Organic. The meat department only carries USDA premium meats. They also have a program to sharpen customers knives for free! Every department has something special to offer. My favorite item in the deli is their breakfast country burrito. A tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, country potatoes, and of course cheese. "Nice & Simple" Not to mention that they have a full pharmacy for all your health needs. For that special occasion don't forget the bakery department. They offer eye popping, mouth watering deserts! The store was supper clean and the employees fantastic! I found prices a little high but that reminded me what my father would always tell us" You Get What You Pay For " They have my highest recommendation. I will definitely be back! This review is specifically for the bakery department visit day on Sunday, August 1 at around 1145M. Wanted to provide a review of my experience this morning. I ordered 2 smash cakes Elsa (with Frozen & Super Mario characters) and i picked it up this morning. The super mario was ok, even though it was a bit lopsided. The Elsa one is totally lopsided in which I brought it the employees attention. Her and another employees' responses was quite condescending, which were bothersome, they insisted the cake looked ok eventhough in comparison with the supermario, you can totally see the big difference! Then they both proceeded to insist that i should've been charged extra $10 because they used the character pic and the side strip. I guess the employees think because i was undercharged, i should take the smashcake ASIS? I've never had any issues with your bakery prior to this day. I wish i could've taken a pic of the smash cake to include on this message so others can comment on it. I believe the customer is not always right BUT, if you can see the evidence with your own eyes, you can at least make it right, and not insists that the cake is good eventhough it is NOT. I decided to get a refund for the Elsa smash cake. This is unfortunate because my granddaughter is celebrating her birthday today. I hope your bakery employees can do a better quality check and control. read more

In an effort to avoid the poor customer service that I have consistently received at the post office (USPS), I prefer to utilize the in-house USPS section (customer service desk) within Bel-Air and Raley's. Although the staff are employees of the store, they are usually well-versed in postal service-related information. In addition, their USPS section functions as a post office that can handle everything outside of shipping to foreign countries. My wife and I run a small online business, so we are usually frequenting the customer service desk in order to ship boxes or obtain flat rate boxes for shipping. Although I have never had an issue with store staff (non-customer service staff), I have had a negative encounter with one of the customer service employees. On this particular day, I was shipping a large amount of medium flat rate boxes. When I walked up to the counter the employee (unfortunately I cannot recall her name) greeted me and began scanning the prepaid shipping labels on my boxes. When she arrived at one particular box, she paused, looked at me, and told me in a rude tone that she could not accept the box. I asked why, and she went on to explain that the USPS mailman (or mailwoman) that picks the mail up from this location told them that they cannot accept a box if the sides of the box are protruding. However, I was once told by an employee at the actual post office, that as long as the box is secure you can use the flat rate box to ship anything that fits into the box. In this case, the item that I was shipping was securely placed into the box (I usually add additional tape to reinforce the box). I understand that people (employees) have bad days. I also understand that customers can be obnoxious and are not always nice. However, customers should not be caught up in the crossfire of an employee who is possibly having a bad day or maybe are unhappy with their job. Tone is everything, and the employee's message would have been received differently if she had used a kind tone towards me (and possibly other customers). Why did the company decide to take down the plexiglass barriers on the checkstands? Especially days before the July 4 holiday when it's full customers? Covid pandemic is alive and well in Sac County and hospitalization is up. especially w / the college aged kids you have employed in stores (most feeling above wearing masks).This decision affects the workers as well as increases possible exposure to us customers!! This is a clean and organized store, however, customer service continues to decline. Clerks Cassidy and Cierra couldn't have been more rude if they tried. If I do return, I will stick to the self check out line. The machine is far more responsive than these two. read more

my boyfriend surprised me with chocolate covered strawberries three days after Valentine's day. YAY. he told me that they were $5 a box, when they normally sell it for $10 before V-day (not sure if he told me that to make me feel better or not lol) but $5 for 4 isn't too bad. $10 for 4? I'd have to pass. they were posted to be sold by 2/19 & luckily they were still really good when I got them. the strawberries weren't overly ripped & the chocolate was still in tact. it was a little difficult to eat, considering the chocolate wasn't attached to the strawberry. so, once you bit into one, the chocolate completely fell off. I also enjoyed the white chocolate strawberry instead of the milk! just preference. I'm defitently a fan & hopefully be surprised with more in the future. (: read more

Horrible experience. Our checker, Lloyd slammed our apples on the counter when weighing them. Then, when bagging our groceries, he placed our frozen burritos on the bottom of the bag and then placed two packs of raw pork on top. On top of the pork, he placed our ice cream. Next, he grabbed our Mandarin oranges and threw them into the cart. We won't be going back to that store anytime soon. read more

I came on in to get Pharmacy meds. They were closed early. So if you are looking to get your meds after business hours, send it to CVS next door cause they at least ooen till 9pm. Its a beautiful grocery store. I bought some bone broth, spinach and some baking tools. I love the Bel Air stores. Typically the same as all the Raley Family stores. This Bel Air is always on point! Clean aisles, tons of options, and great customer service! I've come in a few times for their awesome beer selection. For a grocery store, the options provided are astounding. Last time I came, I was helped by Matthew who gave me an amazing recommendation on a tasty IPA and stout. This location often has local breweries and other good crafts from within the state. Highly recommend checking out this location, and of course ask for Matthew if you need a great beer pairing! read more

Bel Air has been our regular grocery store ever since moving to this side of Elk Grove. We used to frequent Raleys when we lived closer to the Franklin Blvd location. Same products and rewards program so it was an easy transition. The only downside is this Bel Air is older, and could use a remodeling! The aisles are definitely more narrow than the newer Raleys but at least it's still clean and organized here, even if it's on the older side. Employees are helpful and usually pretty easy to find within a few minutes if you have a question. There is one cashier who is a little careless though, and he will scan things multiple times on accident (at least I hope it's on accident) so I would just recommend keeping an eye on the register screen or checking your receipt after. Otherwise, I think Bel Air has fair prices and a wide variety of items, and I'm happy that it's my regular grocery store! read more

Bel Air is in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. The store is clean and well maintained. They have an excellent selection of fresh fruits, meats, seafood, and veggies. All of their meat and produce is of high quality. Their deli has a great selection of cheeses, meats, and ready to eat delights. Their meat counter has good customer service and will cut and package larger cuts free of charge. This is a great service to take advantage of that Costco and most other stores do not offer. Their rotisserie chickens, cooked tri tips, and cooked turkey breasts all come in handy if you're in a hurry and they all taste great. We'll definitely be back. I spoke to the manager asking why he doesn't ask the people to leave and he said he can't do anything about it and won't refuse service? If it's mandatory don't let them in. Refuse service. Nice store, but expensive for what you get. I used to come here for the convenience, since it is so close to where I live. The cakes in the bakery department taste good and are beautifully done up, but beware if you are making any allergy-related special requests. I had ordered a cake that had to be nut-free...it was for a friend who is VERY allergic to nuts. I stressed the importance of this and the person taking the order wrote it down. However, to my dismay, we found out that powdered nuts were used in the decorative layering on the sides with the frosting. My friend had had a bit before realizing what it was. Boo to their bakery department for this. I am doubtful about trusting them to have a care in the future. **************** For general groceries, I used to come here a lot. Not so much, anymore, since I started running my local shopping errands by bike after the gas price hike of a couple of years ago. (You'd be surprised by how much you save by using pedal-power for all of your short trips!) The bike racks at this store are good if you don't mind getting your bike stolen while shopping inside. They have the short wire racks most commonly seen at schoolyards...the kind designed to string a wire through the front wheel spokes and attach to a 1/4 inch bit of steel that can be easily clipped with wire or bolt cutters. I'd rather shop at Safeway across the street where they've got a good bike rack to lock to. [I'd talked to various people working there and left comment cards over the years, but never received an acknowledgement or comment back from them. I guess they don't miss getting my regular business. They must be doing well enough in the down economy that they don't give more than lip service to wanting customer comment cards sent in.] May is Bike Month! ***Support your local bike-friendly businesses.. Raley's/Bel Air always seem to have pretty above average produce...although I prefer to go to nugget or whole foods, this is closeby so we stop by every once in awhile. The produce is definitely way above Safeway... The people who work here are extremely friendly. We had to put the deli lady to work with some cheese and sandwich meats. She didn't mind whatsoever. She just kept on trucking...The deli seems to be a popular thing here. Although we were first in line, a whole group of people ended up waiting for assistance shortly after. They were all there for similar items...a lb of turkey...a lb of cheese. The parking is plentiful...easy to find. 3 stars. read more

This location is HUGE! Well laid out, aisles and cases not crammed together like the one by my house. I found everything I needed quickly- which is usually a challenge when you go to a store with a different setup. Self check out was quick and no issues like I typically do when I use my own bags at other stores. Parking lot has TONS of parking which can sometimes be a challenge in a shopping center with so many stores. I wish I lived closer to make this my regular store. read more
