Located across from Whole Foods, Bel Air is a grocery store that has been fairly recently renovated. The bonus is their community room! I used to come here for Wine Wednesdays where for $5 you can do a wine tasting with food and then get a $5 credit towards a bottle of wine or a glass of wine from their deli section. Yes folks, you can just come here for a beer or glass of wine! Last time they were pouring Prisoner wines, one of my faves. The aisles are a bit tight, but they stock similar merchandise as Raley's being part of the Raley's family of supermarkets. You do need the app to get the specials. Prices are not the cheapest, but would rather shop here than Safeway or Savemart. Service here is very good and friendly. Lots of my neighbors shop here - there is a cool housewares/gift section towards the back of the store that the nearby Raley's does not have. read more

In the area making an Amazon return at got a craving for Bel Air's California chicken salad. It was late and staff was tidying up the deli area but fortunately I wasn't "to" late. Angela was the lovely young lady who helped me. I tried the other two chicken salad options but deferred to my favorite (California style) as it's much more flavorful. On my way out, Tyler bid me good night and happy new year which was nice. Loved the service at the Arden Bel Air and will definitely patronize again. read more

Overall, good service and products and great location. Noticing lately though, that the potato salads in deli are missing the mark. Claire's potato salad and fully loaded potato salad both have very small diced underdone taters. Potato salads are better with larger sized, chunkier, and fully cooked taters. So I've been shopping here for a couple of years now and had a good experience for the most part but the other day when I was checking out I was dealing with this super rude clerk, i believe her name was Lisa. She was extremely rude to me, no customer service skills what so ever. Also while I was waiting in line to check out I overheard her talking shit about "how she can't stand them" referring to another customer. Very unprofessional. I've never had an issue with any other clerk or overheard them talking shit about their customers. I guess I'll be going to whole food across the street from now on. read more

I used to come here all the time. The store was great and was a lifesaver during the pandemic. The staff (Ed and everyone else) were great. I stopped coming here after the remodel. The shelves are way too high. Yes - I am short. But I don't want to have to ask someone to help me reach something every.single. time. I come in the store. Finally the aisles are too narrow. If another person's cart (the aisles are narrow but they didn't make the carts narrower in response) isn't just so, the aisle is completely blocked up. It makes it impossible to shop here except for times when the store is not going to be busy. I can't recall the last time I came here. I do a LOT more shopping at Whole Foods now across the street, solely because the aisles aren't as narrow, nor are the shelves so high. A shorty like me can still reach most of the items at Whole Foods. read more

Wow I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed at this store. I was picking up a doordash order here and I asked a store employee for help (kayla) and all she did was point at a wall no greetings or anything in return making an ugly ol face. Okay I brushed that off but it got even better! Then I went over to the section and the item was not there nor listed on any labels I tripled checked and so then I walk over to the deli where you can ask for salads by the pound and lone behold the salad I was looking for was right there. This chick lied to my face all while being rude so I'm standing right in front of the glass counter waiting to be helped no one was coming so I'm looking around and then Kayla comes up (oh wow it's her department) she comes up behind the counter with the most angry annoyed look and doesn't say one word to me so I ask for a pound of the salad, I'm completely biting my tongue at this point in complete disbelief. I don't know what her deal was but after she handed me the salad I said thank you and still not one word. Then I go the checkout and I'm the second person in line and I'm watching the customer and cashier have a friendly conversation and then as soon as it's my turn the cashier (didn't get his name) middle aged heavy set dude) does not greet me either even though I walk up there with a smile and said hi. This guy doesn't say a word either not even after he handed me the receipt and to top it all off I had heard him sigh and saw him roll his eyes as he was handing me it. If I wasn't on a delivery I would have asked for the manager and put them on blast. I'm not that type of person nor do I want to be but that time I really did. I couldn't think of any other reason other than me being Hispanic or this Belair's hiring standards are ridiculously low. Definitely won't return and told my family to stay away from this specific store. That's all. read more

We shopped there for 18 years, but no more. The new system for coupons on the app is unusable, no wifi in the store, hard to log in, hard to navigate. If they don't want to sell if for a discount, don't advertise the discount. The only good thing is it isn't crowded any more. read more

For decades I have frequented Raley and Bel Air. Recently I found out how much more expensive they are I stopped except for highly specialized items. I found an item (advertised) on their website which I needed for medical reasons. I went to pick up the item, looked all over the store, when I finally found the location where the item was supposed to be with other similar Raley's brand items and there was a gap in the shelf. I asked people in the back if they had them in the back which they said they did not. They told me to ask the checkout clerk. I did and the clerk made little effort to locate it. As a local business I want to support them, but this is not the first time I have gone to the store and an item was not available. Those items were typically sale items and guess what other more expensive items of the same thing were available. I guess I wouldn't go so far to call it a bait and switch, but it certainly feels that way to me. DON'T ADVERTISE ITEMS YOU DO NOT FULLY STOCK. read more

The prices have gone up since the remodel. They added a large section related to items/products sold by the owners wife. That space could have been used better. The whole coupon situation is confusing to me as well as the senior population that frequents this store. However the most frustrating is the wait in the checkout line. I was once 8 in line and was told they have no other checkers! I called customer service to complain and after waiting 25 minutes as hung up on! Bel Air Arden and Eastern finally reopened! Had my first visit Sunday. It's Beautiful from Parking to produce to New Cafe!! Loved it! The family is all back and Happy to be open! It was all I could hope for and more. They really did a great job making it easy to find everything. So glad to have it back. Been going to this store for over 35 years! Best Grocery Store and Friendly people in the Area. And I tried them all while they were closed!! They also gave us the Post Office back so happy for that!! This is a decent Bel Air store. I've noticed that it's been pretty busy despite COVID-19 and I have seen employees cleaning grocery carts for their customers, which I appreciate. The main reason I've been going to this Bel Air is because they usually have tri-tip in their deli department and the deli workers will hook me up with whatever meat rubs I want on my tri-tip. Bye, Bye Bel Air. After more than 30 years of loyalty, I have decided that it's time to join my friends and neighbors and take my grocery business to Whole Foods and Safeway. Since their remodel, Bel Air has been on a downward spiral. Friendly, courteous check staff has been replaced with a group of uncaring, disinterested individuals with "attitude". There is also an absence of familiar products and brands and limited inventory on the shelves. You should get in and out quickly due to the lack of customers in the store, however with only one checker working the convenience of speed is gone. All in all, Bel Air is no where near what it used to be. I won't be sad to see it close in the very near future. read more

Went in today to get some flowers. Saw that they were on sale for 9.99. Went to the register and they rang up for 16.98, called for help they came and said that the sign was not in the correct place and they wouldn't honor the price. Went back over to the flower section and they have moved the sign. I will not be back this is already an overly expensive store and to not honor their mistake is BS. read more

This location provides THE best service among all Bel Air & Raley's supermarket! I love how almost every associate will acknowledge you & ask how your day is either at the registers or just walking down an aisle! I work in the area so I typically come to this location often for lunch. I normally order something light from the deli -- the usual chicken salad or macaroni salad. They have a Peet's coffee chain within the market so I find it convenient to grab a cup of coffee while on lunch also. If you're in the area & looking for a light & hearty lunch, I'd recommend coming to this location. The superb service is just a bonus! ;) read more

First time visiting this Bel Air. It reminds me of the San Diego Airport with the outdated, low ceilings. I was able to immediately find the seafood I was seeking at a good price, and proceeded to the self check out. Ed is an excellent staffer who literally approached a mask-less shopper the moment she entered and offered her a mask. She seemed confused and asked him to repeat himself so Ed offered her a mask again. I was flabbergasted when she straight up said NO. Apparently store policy is to not enforce it? Unacceptable. Do better, Bel Air! That shopper should not have been allowed to purchase her groceries unless she put on a mask. It's state mandate! A true solution is to have someone posted at the front door offering masks upon entry. Also, someone patrolling making sure they keep the mask on while shopping, please. read more

Customer Service.... What does it mean. I've been coming to BelAir, for over 8yrs. I've noticed that the service has changed. Hence my review; While shopping today, I decided to pay a few bills while here. In the customer service area, I saw a girl named Brenna. She had no name tag and did no introduction of wanting to help. No eye contact. No smile. Nothing. Her head was down the whole time. She made a quick comment of how I wrote my billing information out, but didn't try to explain in anyway. So I assumed that it was wrong. I had to ask what her name was just to get her to talk. Yes, she is a young girl, but if you choose customer service, please know what that means and entails. Disappointed in her demeanor, I paid my bills and left. I immediately went to the Deli to get a sandwich and chips. My server; Ann. She was smiling, and abruptly asked, what she could make me. I was undecided so she recommended a few items and asked what else I needed. I paid for items and left with a smile. Now THAT'S service with a smile. I'm not nick picking by any means, but some people need a teaching environment to learn what customer service is. It truly makes a big difference on my shopping experience. read more

Bel Air on Arden & Eastern is my favorite grocery store to shop at! The excellent experiences I've had at this store have to do with the interactions I've had with the employees, and for the wide variety of items available at this location (which are always stocked full). No matter which department I'm in, there is always someone available to happily help when I have questions. I also love that this store is willing to go the extra mile for its customers. The food in the deli is always fresh, the produce department is very well-maintained, and the lines move quickly due to the employees working their hardest as a team. I have also noticed that the store director will even be seen checking groceries and interacting with customers, which I appreciate and do not see very often at other grocery stores! The E-Cart service is also great! The E-Cart shoppers are super efficient and always have your order ready on time. If you're interested definitely give it a try! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Everyone is always so nice and helpful. Today was my first time in the deli department. I had to pick up some sandwiches for work. Dolly was SOOOO nice! I had a big order and she was very patient and got to order 100% right. She was so nice to talk to and had a huge smile on her face the whole time. The other times I have been here, I have been able to be in and out because there are enough registers open all the time that I don't have to wait behind more than one or 2 customers at the time.
