    Tri Tip sandwich

Finally got a chance to stop by here, passed here everyday but never did stop. I'm glad I did today. Got the Tuesday special tri tip sandwich and it was amazing! Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is very rustic and comfortable. Staff suggested I try the train wreck next time! I'll be back!

Old school, hole in the wall place with a funky interior of a few tables and outdoor picnic tables. Service was friendly and prompt even during the busy lunch hour. Tri tip sandwich was excellent - tender, lightly bbq sauce on a fresh baguette with lettuce and tomato (I held the onions and mayo). My friends tri tip tacos were proclaimed delicious as were the fries - hot and crisp with the right amount of salt. Definitely want to go back to try the breaksfast burritos as well as the burgers.

This business is ranked #4 on Yelp's Top 100 Taco Spots for 2025. It's one of those places that's in the category of great unassuming hole-in-the-wall finds that serve darn tasty food. We came on a weekday before noon (& before the lunch crowd line & wave of takeout orders). We parked in the unpaved lot by the smoker. Across the way are train tracks. Inside is a small, cramped space, & customers maneuver around each other. There are a few close-quarters tables & a lot of refrigerated beverages available. Fountain drinks are self-service. We were greeted by a friendly man who took our order at the counter. While waiting outside, order names are announced loudly & clearly over a speaker when ready. Outside, there is more seating at a few long picnic tables with umbrellas along the street. Like a picnic setting, you occasionally need to wave away some flies. Our experience felt very communal with the diverse diners--people accommodated each other at the shared tables, joked a bit, & we bumped into an acquaintance. We ordered their famous Tri-Tip Tacos, which look simple, but offer such deliciousness. The meat has smokiness & a little tang that is flavorfully prominent, but not overpowering. It is juicy, tender, & easy to bite through. The tortilla is crisp & has saltiness from a sprinkle of cheese. It's all buried under a mountain of shredded cheese & lettuce that offers a fresh, cool contrast to the rich meat. There's a charm to an inconspicuous, humble restaurant that provides such a satisfying experience. We enjoyed our eats here.

We were in the area for a basketball tournament and was looking around for a spot to grab lunch. We drove past, noticed the line out the door, and full picnic tables out front. I quickly checked Yelp and made a u-turn which ended up being the best decision. The line does go by fast and there are maybe 2-3 parties waiting inside so don't be afraid of the line out the door. The inside looks like a roadside country market with a few tables to sit and eat at. We were lucky that the special included the tri tip tacos which was $16.99 and it came with Mac or potato salad and a fountain drink. We also ordered the loaded pastrami sandwich. All I have to say is DELICIOUS!!! Both meats were tender, moist, and sliced so thinly. Highly recommended if you're in the area and will be coming back to have more.

    Look at that sandwich!

EPIC Tri-Tip sandwich - meat so exquisitely tender and full of smoky flavor. Bun was up to the job of wrangling the innards. Served with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and BBQ sauce in proportions that don't overshadow that ahhhhmazing meat. I had read about Roundhouse as a deli, but the aroma of that smoked meat sucked me in and I switched from a Rueben and ended up ordering the Tri-Tip. O M G - TOTAL WIN! Took a quick minute for me to connect "Roundhouse" to the train engine complex and multiple tracks straight across the street. Then a 13-minute freight train rolled by. Train geek heaven and epic food in one spot. The locals clearly know what a gem this place is - non stop orders right up until closing time of 5 pm.

This place was awesome! The service was quick and friendly (we did go around 3pm on a Thursday) , we had our orders within minutes. The tri tip tacos were the star of the show! Don't forget the hot sauce! My plain turkey sandwich was also very fresh quality and delicious. We will be back!

We have been wanting to try Roundhouse Deli for years and finally went! We made the order over the phone and it was ready for pick up in less than 10 min. The food was so delicious. The deli is quant with good vibes and energy. They were super busy but the pick up was quick. Def coming back!!

There's a chicken taco hiding underneath that mountain of cheddar cheese. Not health food - 100% DELICIOUS!

Beef Tri-tip taco trio at 10:00am. Breakfast of champions. Delicious. Smoky richness. Cooked well done yet still moist. Early hour means there are tables and chairs available. Usually all taken at lunchtime. The take out orders were flying out the door. Rightfully so, the food is down home marvelous.

Roundhouse deli is definitely a place you need to check out at least once if you are in Roseville. It is literally next to the train tracks so parking is all on the street and restaurant looks like a hole in the wall. There are tables inside and outside to eat but not too many. Usually there's a line out the door if you come during peak lunch hours. On the weekends and Friday they have tri tip tacos and I highly recommend getting these. The tri tip is so tender and pairs well with the crisped up tortilla and cheese and lettuce. The ingredients are so simple but so delicious. Make sure you get the red spicy sauce to put in your taco. Also, if you go for breakfast their burritos are huge, but be warned you may not be able to do any work after eating their burritos cause they are huge haha Check out roundhouse deli and you won't be disappointed. It's for sure Tex-mex so not your traditional Mexican food but oh it's good!

We stopped in on a Tuesday around noon - the place was hopping - people sitting inside and out but seemed as if most people got their order to go - lots of street parking - they have outside picnic seating too. We got there and when inside my husband grabbed a two seater table - we ordered tacos, Reuben & 2 fountain drinks - the service was super fast - the line kept moving with a constant in and out of people - I see why though - Thai place is a hidden gem - the inside is decorated with train and old Roseville style stuff - the food is amazing!! The tacos I scarfed them down as they so delish - the tri tip was smoked and perfect for the tacos my husband also scarfed down the Reuben and said it was great!!! hidden gem - check it out!!!!

Always love my Roundhouse deli Chicken tacos! I had been craving one all week so we went yesterday, a Sunday. Be warned weekends are very busy and they are closed Sundays. Prices are fantastic and food terrific! Service is fast and friendly. Limited seating available. Love love love this place!

Ask the Community - Roundhouse Deli

Does this place have air conditioning?

    Yes

As of today, when are the tri-tip tacos available? Thought I saw somewhere they're available all week now?

Most recent sign inside Roundhouse says: "Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday + Saturday"

Where can I get chili to go?

Brahma Bar & Grill in Fair Oaks, CA 10239 Fair Oaks Blvd #D Fair Oaks, CA 95628…

Does anyone know what the Monday specials currently are?

Cheesesteak, Hot Pastrami, Grilled Reuben, and Trainwreck. This is based off my menu photos from early 2021, which were the same as another person's photo at the end of 2020. I suspect it doesn't change much for the regulars to know what meats to…

Has anyone used these folks to cater a backyard gathering? Looking at maybe 50 people. Thank you!

    Yep.

    Any kosher or halal meat?

I'm not sure what would qualify. They have chicken, chicken sandwich and chicken tacos. Breakfast is usually Bacon, Sausage burritos or Tri-Tip burritos and tacos for lunch. Pastrami is popular. I don't think they do the garden burgers or the fake…

    Are there Vegetarian options?

I have often grabbed salads and large fruit salads from the soda case. I'm almost positive they do grilled cheese sandwiches too if cheese is something you can have! The salads are good but can run out if they are busy.

What comes in the trash breakfast burrito?

Egg, sausage, potato, pepper jack cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, onion and jalapeños... and if they can fit the kitchen sink, that'll go too

I keep forgetting to ask, when I'm there, if the taco shells are corn or flour. Does anyone know?

They use corn tortillas for the tacos (flour for the fabulous breakfast burritos).

Anyone know what days they have tri tip tacos?

    Tue wed fri sat

    When did this store open?

They have been there for awhile but the owners changed multiple times. The current owner took over 8 or 9 years ago.

When I heard Moksa and Hawks were teaming up, I was beyond excited. Moksa already makes some of the best beer around, and Hawks has long been one of my favorite restaurants in the Sacramento/Placer area. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect since Hawks is known for its elevated dining experience, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food is delicious , the portions are generous, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. Pair that with Moksa's incredible beer selection, plus wine and canned cocktails, and there's something for everyone. They also do fun events like trivia and music bingo, which gives you another reason to keep coming back. Whether you're grabbing a beer, meeting friends for dinner, or making a night of it, this place delivers every time. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll be glad you did

The lemon cut through the fried food well and the tartar sauce and coleslaw were great as well. I've tried the breakfast sandwich and it was very rich and hefty. There's plenty of parking, and the unique metal artwork at the entrance is a fun photo op before you even walk in. Inside is huge with two bars, TVs throughout, an awesome patio that's dog-friendly (they even offer pups a free meal!), and some of the coolest decor with tap handles and bottles lining the ceiling. Such a fun vibe. Our server, Art, was fantastic, and the bartenders were equally welcoming. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 3-6 PM) is seriously one of the best I've seen. They offer a huge selection of food, craft cocktails, beer, and wine, all for under $10. It's the perfect excuse to stop in after work or meet up with friends. We brought our son, Ty, and loved that Tuesdays are Kids Eat Free. He ordered the chicken fried rice, and I couldn't believe how generous the portion was. Even better, every kids' meal comes with fresh orange slices and churro bites, which was such a fun touch. The food was fresh, flavorful, and Ty gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up! Now the food... WOW. This is so much more than bar food. The menu is chef-driven with bold Asian-inspired flavors and generous portions. The Firecracker Sashimi was incredibly fresh with just the right amount of heat, and the Drunken Pig Fries were loaded with flavor. The Tom Yum Shrimp completely stole the show. The shrimp were absolutely massive with a crispy coating that stayed perfectly crunchy, tossed in a bold, vibrant tom yum-inspired sauce that packed serious flavor. Served over rice with a fresh arugula salad, every bite was packed with flavor. My husband ordered the Korean Skirt Steak with shrimp, and it arrived on a sizzling hot plate. You could tell the steak had been marinating for a long time because every bite was packed with flavor. The fried rice soaked up all those delicious juices and developed the best crispy bits. Then came the Sticky Toffee Cake... warm, gooey, buttery, and the perfect way to end the meal. An absolute must-order. Amazing food, outstanding service, generous portions, and a fun atmosphere. University of Beer has officially become a new family favorite, and we'll absolutely be back.

We were all ready to go and find another restaurant, but the person seating said to wait a minute. A table was just cleared and she was able to seat us. It was a good thing we paused as we got a table in back, next to the birthday party alcove. When we walked to our seats we passed an alcove with couches and chairs and whole bunch of kids jumping and running around with a few adults mingled in. As it turns out it was a birthday party for one of the adults. They sang to him and he blew out the candles on his cake. The restaurant is quite loud, but not too loud that you could still have a conversation which was a surprised as it was so loud. This is not the place to go for a romantic dinner. It's a pub, minus the year round Shepard's pie. They change the menu twice a year and that's only served fall/winter. That was sad because that was what I really wanted to order. Service was really good, the waiter kept coming back and checking on us. We first ordered drinks, then appetizers. We go the baked Brie Board for the table (there was 4 of us). It was a really solid appetizer. We all over the baked Brie and fruits included. I would order it again for a table of 4. My husband ordered the Monk's Burger and found it very tasty. I agree it was good, but a little on the dry side and the fries wern't crispy enough and tasted old. I got the Halibut. I found it tough and hard to cut into, maybe it was over seared a bit. It didn't taste fish at all which was good. The Cherry and Currant chutney was unusually and addd a good flavor to it. I wouldn't order it again. My girlfriend ordered the Moules Frites and said it had a very generous potion and would feed two easily, though she ate it all herself after sharing some with the table. Everyone agreed it was very tasty. The presentation was good too. It came in a large pot. Lastly our other friend ordered the fish and chips and said it was a generous portion. He only ate half of it and took the other half home and he was hungry to begin with. Parking is street parking or there is a free garage a couple of blocks away and over the bridge. You can see the train passing by on the other side of the bridge. Overall it was a good meal. I though my halibut was subpar and the fries that came with the burger had the texture and taste of old fries, they were also just room temperature when they were borough out. Sadly they weren't piping hot from the frier.

I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.

I opted for a hamburger and went with the San Francisco burger, which was 1/3 pound patty on sourdough with lettuce, tomato, and all the fixings. The burger itself was delicious and the fries honestly were some of the best I ever had with a beautiful crunch to them. The drinks were good and they had a very special vodka served at happy hour, so I had a vodka tonic, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is really cool and they have a pool table isolated in a little open room. They also have a patio which is shaded due to the way the sun sets, so it's beautiful, especially in the summer. They have live music and an open mike on Wednesday nights which I would've loved to stayed and listen to because we were here on a Wednesday night but just a little too early as it goes from 7 to 9. Definitely will come back to hear some other night. Parking can be a little fragile in downtown Roseville although there are plenty of public parking spaces if you're willing to walk a block or two. Overall, the building is set in old town, Roseville so the overall atmosphere in downtown has that iconic old Roseville feel. Based on the atmosphere, food quality and drink quality overall rating a 4.5 I will be back.
