    Tri tip tacos

I got the tri tip tacos to go, they were about $14 service was fast and the tacos had nice smokey flavor. The setup is hectic in there too many people hovering all over they need to work on better or more efficient seating. Overall good food I will come back to try a burger or burrito in the future. This is one of the Roseville staples great nostalgia decor inside, Rene was very friendly great owner.

Tri tip tacos, carrot cake and 16 Oz of go fast before the 2.5 hour drive ahead of me.

Whenever I am in Roseville, I make sure I set aside time to go to Roundhouse Deli. I am a sucker for mex food, and their tri-tip tacos are amazing! The facility itself has a lot of character so that's a plus for me too. PS - The carrot cake exceeded my expectations!

Finally got a chance to stop by here, passed here everyday but never did stop. I'm glad I did today. Got the Tuesday special tri tip sandwich and it was amazing! Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is very rustic and comfortable. Staff suggested I try the train wreck next time! I'll be back!

Old school, hole in the wall place with a funky interior of a few tables and outdoor picnic tables. Service was friendly and prompt even during the busy lunch hour. Tri tip sandwich was excellent - tender, lightly bbq sauce on a fresh baguette with lettuce and tomato (I held the onions and mayo). My friends tri tip tacos were proclaimed delicious as were the fries - hot and crisp with the right amount of salt. Definitely want to go back to try the breaksfast burritos as well as the burgers.

This business is ranked #4 on Yelp's Top 100 Taco Spots for 2025. It's one of those places that's in the category of great unassuming hole-in-the-wall finds that serve darn tasty food. We came on a weekday before noon (& before the lunch crowd line & wave of takeout orders). We parked in the unpaved lot by the smoker. Across the way are train tracks. Inside is a small, cramped space, & customers maneuver around each other. There are a few close-quarters tables & a lot of refrigerated beverages available. Fountain drinks are self-service. We were greeted by a friendly man who took our order at the counter. While waiting outside, order names are announced loudly & clearly over a speaker when ready. Outside, there is more seating at a few long picnic tables with umbrellas along the street. Like a picnic setting, you occasionally need to wave away some flies. Our experience felt very communal with the diverse diners--people accommodated each other at the shared tables, joked a bit, & we bumped into an acquaintance. We ordered their famous Tri-Tip Tacos, which look simple, but offer such deliciousness. The meat has smokiness & a little tang that is flavorfully prominent, but not overpowering. It is juicy, tender, & easy to bite through. The tortilla is crisp & has saltiness from a sprinkle of cheese. It's all buried under a mountain of shredded cheese & lettuce that offers a fresh, cool contrast to the rich meat. There's a charm to an inconspicuous, humble restaurant that provides such a satisfying experience. We enjoyed our eats here.

    Look at that sandwich!

EPIC Tri-Tip sandwich - meat so exquisitely tender and full of smoky flavor. Bun was up to the job of wrangling the innards. Served with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and BBQ sauce in proportions that don't overshadow that ahhhhmazing meat. I had read about Roundhouse as a deli, but the aroma of that smoked meat sucked me in and I switched from a Rueben and ended up ordering the Tri-Tip. O M G - TOTAL WIN! Took a quick minute for me to connect "Roundhouse" to the train engine complex and multiple tracks straight across the street. Then a 13-minute freight train rolled by. Train geek heaven and epic food in one spot. The locals clearly know what a gem this place is - non stop orders right up until closing time of 5 pm.

This place was awesome! The service was quick and friendly (we did go around 3pm on a Thursday) , we had our orders within minutes. The tri tip tacos were the star of the show! Don't forget the hot sauce! My plain turkey sandwich was also very fresh quality and delicious. We will be back!

We have been wanting to try Roundhouse Deli for years and finally went! We made the order over the phone and it was ready for pick up in less than 10 min. The food was so delicious. The deli is quant with good vibes and energy. They were super busy but the pick up was quick. Def coming back!!

There's a chicken taco hiding underneath that mountain of cheddar cheese. Not health food - 100% DELICIOUS!

Beef Tri-tip taco trio at 10:00am. Breakfast of champions. Delicious. Smoky richness. Cooked well done yet still moist. Early hour means there are tables and chairs available. Usually all taken at lunchtime. The take out orders were flying out the door. Rightfully so, the food is down home marvelous.

We were in the area for a basketball tournament and was looking around for a spot to grab lunch. We drove past, noticed the line out the door, and full picnic tables out front. I quickly checked Yelp and made a u-turn which ended up being the best decision. The line does go by fast and there are maybe 2-3 parties waiting inside so don't be afraid of the line out the door. The inside looks like a roadside country market with a few tables to sit and eat at. We were lucky that the special included the tri tip tacos which was $16.99 and it came with Mac or potato salad and a fountain drink. We also ordered the loaded pastrami sandwich. All I have to say is DELICIOUS!!! Both meats were tender, moist, and sliced so thinly. Highly recommended if you're in the area and will be coming back to have more.

Roundhouse deli is definitely a place you need to check out at least once if you are in Roseville. It is literally next to the train tracks so parking is all on the street and restaurant looks like a hole in the wall. There are tables inside and outside to eat but not too many. Usually there's a line out the door if you come during peak lunch hours. On the weekends and Friday they have tri tip tacos and I highly recommend getting these. The tri tip is so tender and pairs well with the crisped up tortilla and cheese and lettuce. The ingredients are so simple but so delicious. Make sure you get the red spicy sauce to put in your taco. Also, if you go for breakfast their burritos are huge, but be warned you may not be able to do any work after eating their burritos cause they are huge haha Check out roundhouse deli and you won't be disappointed. It's for sure Tex-mex so not your traditional Mexican food but oh it's good!

Cheesesteak, Hot Pastrami, Grilled Reuben, and Trainwreck. This is based off my menu photos from early 2021, which were the same as another person's photo at the end of 2020. I suspect it doesn't change much for the regulars to know what meats to…

Has anyone used these folks to cater a backyard gathering? Looking at maybe 50 people. Thank you!

    Yep.

    Any kosher or halal meat?

I'm not sure what would qualify. They have chicken, chicken sandwich and chicken tacos. Breakfast is usually Bacon, Sausage burritos or Tri-Tip burritos and tacos for lunch. Pastrami is popular. I don't think they do the garden burgers or the fake…

    Are there Vegetarian options?

I have often grabbed salads and large fruit salads from the soda case. I'm almost positive they do grilled cheese sandwiches too if cheese is something you can have! The salads are good but can run out if they are busy.

What comes in the trash breakfast burrito?

Egg, sausage, potato, pepper jack cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, onion and jalapeños... and if they can fit the kitchen sink, that'll go too

I keep forgetting to ask, when I'm there, if the taco shells are corn or flour. Does anyone know?

They use corn tortillas for the tacos (flour for the fabulous breakfast burritos).

Anyone know what days they have tri tip tacos?

    Tue wed fri sat

    When did this store open?

They have been there for awhile but the owners changed multiple times. The current owner took over 8 or 9 years ago.

The wings were dry, which our kid said isn't usually the norm since they order them regularly, but the mac 'n cheese balls were a hit, as usual. Maybe on the pricey side but I think it was very fair for the quality they serve. On a Sunday afternoon it was a constant stream of customers, but they have some indoor seating and plenty of covered outdoor seating with misters. Ketchup and water dispenser available along with packaged condiments like more ketchup, mustard, mayo, and even malt vinegar. Names are called on the speaker and they have several windows to pick up at. Orders are placed inside or outside at the window. It's pretty neat and makes for a perfect blend of updated/nice with great old school charm. I ordered the Guido (pastrami burger), halfsies (family size of fries and onion rings, opted for waffle fries), and a vanilla twisty with heath bar. The Guido is excellent, but you have to know what you're in for. With the pastrami and the deli mustard, it tastes overwhelmingly like a pastrami sandwich and less like a burger. But the patty, cheese, and veggies do add something to it. It's also very messy, but it was delicious. The onion rings were excellent. They have that smooth batter style, sorta kinda like tempura. My wife prefers the panko style so she was more into the fries. For the fries, they were good but I'd probably opt for normal fries next time instead of waffle fries. I was expecting something somewhat similar to chick fil a, but these were a little on the thicker side and almost had the texture of potato wedges. I'm also not a big fry seasoning guy, and these were well seasoned. But that's a me thing. We still ate them all and you know when I come back I'm not leaving here without fries. The twisty was really good. I might be the only one, but I'm such a sucker for heath bar when I saw it on the menu I had to order it. The ice cream was really good quality. Had a great texture and taste. They were generous with the heath bar. I'm aware I took down a disgusting amount of food, but I think if I could change one thing I'd get the larger size of the twisty next time. It was really good. Wish they had a location closer than 30 mins up the hill, but that won't stop me. Note that my wife asked about the black bean patty and it has cheese in it so it is vegetarian but not dairy free or vegan. So if you go that way, there's that. Not much for you besides fries and dole whip.

I went w the Guido adding pastrami to their 1/3 lb patty. Their homemade burger sauce is a thousand island relative. Maybe a touch too much sauce but uber tasty. My wife had the Double D burger - double the patty!!! The waffle fries were well prepared and wonderfully seasoned - maybe some of the best fries seasoning in a long while. Mom took on the "cream" side w a Mocha Malt. It was thick and wonderful. The place is a counter order then pick up but that's just fine. It is nothing fancy inside but it gets the job done....Some small fly battles but great food. We will absolutely be coming back!

I woke up on Sunday and decided I needed a milkshake. It was the only thing in the world I wanted…read more I looked for places near me to get one, because I didn't wanna make it myself and this restaurant popped up. I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We've had Burger Shack on our list for a while. We love stopping by old school drive in type burger…read moreshops for a no frills, just good food experience. We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.
