Wow talk about a hidden gem in EG, I have been to the Auto Mall numerous times over the years and never realized that a restaurant was located next to Starbucks and a dental business . Anyway, my Trainwreck was amazing... the bread was soft and slightly sweet and great balance of ingredients. If you know me by now, I'm a sucker to try anything with Pastrami. Although the specials Tri tip Taco was a little disappointed but the food was still good. I did get a credit from the bank, but it came after the original wrong charge went through. Upped it to two stars because it was still a terrible experience. And, apparently right after I posted the negative Yelp review, they returned the entire amount. So, another star for eventually trying to make things right. Tri-tip tacos!!! So tender juicy and delicious. It is my go to order and you can't go wrong with it. An order comes with three tacos. I usually make it a meal for a few dollars more that includes a side and drink. My favorite side are the fries are they are hot crispy and tender on the inside. I have also tried several other of their breakfast burritos and they are all solid. I order from here when we have breakfast events for work as they are one of the few breakfast places that open before 7 am. It's a small shop and parking can be a little scarce but there are dedicated spots for the restaurant as it shares the same lot with a Starbucks. It's also right by the automall so if you are waiting for your car to get serviced and want something to eat, it's a short walk. read more

Went in for the three tri tip tacos but decided to get the Loaded Pastrami Sandwich instead because it's St. Patrick's Day. Quick service, prepared the way I like (minus lettuce, onion and tomatoes). Local spot with friendly people. In front of the Elk Grove dealerships you see the friendly staff here helping everyone with a smile on their face. I came in here while waiting for my car to be serviced. I was able to see the sheer amount of loyal customers coming through their door for an hour. I grabbed the breakfast tacos. Tortillas were warm and coated with cheese. The potatoes and thick cut chewy bacon pieces all over. Just add the scrambled eggs and cheese to marry everything together. This was my first time here. I've always drove by here and I've heard good things about Roundhouse. They are famous for their smoked tri tip tacos. That is what my husband ordered and I ordered the pastrami sandwich minus the onions and pickles. We always share our meals, anyways. That way we get to try more food. The smoked tri-tip tacos meal came with three tacos with a side dish and a drink. You can order à la carte if you want . I ordered a side of potato salad, with my sandwich. You order your food at the counter and they will call you name when it is ready for pick up. They have a small dining area and have some outside tables as well. They have a daily special menu for each day of the week posted. We found an empty table and decided to stay to eat at the dining area. I didn't expect anything from my order, it was a sandwich, how good can it be. When I took a bite, I was surprised. It tasted really good. The hot pastrami was tender and had really good flavor. I really liked it. I liked it better than the tri tip tacos. The tri tip tacos were good too. The tri tip was very tender. Potato salad, was mediocre. I would probably pass on that. This place is really great too bad the parking isn't better. I brought my wife this time since we were in the area. It was just before 1PM on a Friday. The place was pretty full and so was the parking lots. We had to park pretty far away. It is located next to Starbucks in a small strip mall. It is pretty small to. Only had about 6 or so tables and a small counter by the front door. You order at the counter and they take your name and call it out to bring the food to you. A lot of take out here since it's so small of a place. I got the Friday special which was tri tip tacos, 3 of them and a side which I got the potato salad and a drink. For 16 bucks. I loved the tri tip tacos. Nice and smokey flavor. Could use a little sauce to get even more flavor. I was pretty full. I wish the potato salad had eggs and celery in it but it was ok. I had all potatoes in mine. The wife got the pastrami sandwich which she really enjoyed. The pastrami was really good. The staff are so nice and helpful. Today, I tried the ground beef tacos (3 for $6.99) and they added their popular tri tip tacos for me to try, and they were both delicious. The tacos are filled with meat, which is so authentic and perfectly seasoned, with lettuce and cheese. It's a must try with their hot sauce, which has quite a kick. There Jeremy Burrito is so stinkin good. No seriously, if you are up early and are hungry you gotta stop in. It's massive, and so so so good! I'm coming back for burritos and tacos for sure. I got a sandwich a few months back and wasn't to impressed. If you've never been, you know you're close since they're usually using their smoker cooking tri-tip. Entering I was greeted and decided to take my time looking over the menu, their more popular items are on the sandwich board menu standing next to the register. They didn't have a "train wreck" burrito on the menu but they were happy to make one for me! A few minutes go by and the cashier brings my food to me with a squeeze bottle of hot sauce. You can tell it gets a lot of use since remnant of hot sauce was on the top (which I wiped off before using). Now I'm ready to eat. After the 1st bite I was happily surprised that I immediately had Tri-tip and pastrami taste in my mouth. You could tell the quality of and smokiness in the meat THEN IT ALL DISAPPEARED in the middle just egg, onion and cheese then towards the end there was slices of meat. So the distribution of meat in the burrito could have been better. SO, I'm not sure what would have been better getting all the meat in the beginning or at the end? My family gets take- out from Roundhouse Deli once per week. Yes, it's that good. My favorite is the chicken tacos: hearty portions of all white meat, lettuce, cheese, and homemade salsa- a three pack is only nine dollars! What a steal! My hubby loves the tri-tip tacos, and we all devour the loaded pastrami sandwiches. Breakfast sandwiches and burritos are stellar. You can't go wrong here; everything is outstanding. The breakfast sandwiches are off the hook! I can't believe the size to price ratio. I recommend the breakfast sandwich "The Jeremy", sausage with pepper jack cheese. When they handed me the sandwich, it was so heavy, it felt like a small baby in a paper bag. Weight! How are they still in business putting out this quality and quantity, at a fast-food price??? So just be aware that the parking lot is small. It's shared with Starbucks and a dental place. You might have to park in the back closer to YiFang. Well, we got inside, and after looking at the menu, my stomach shifted from wanting their tritip tacos, to wanting their sandwich haha. I ended getting the Trainwreck, and it was very flavorful. You can smell and taste the smoke from the tritip, the bread was soft, the onions were just right. The size is definitely big. I ended up only eating half, which just means I have more for later haha. Overall I'm very happy with my change in selection last minute haha. I crave the chicken tacos at Roundhouse Deli. These are truly special tacos. The chicken is always perfectly seasoned and tender, the cheese is plentiful, and the lettuce is crisp...but the aspect that makes these tacos so special to me: the crispy taco shell. The shells are sturdy enough to not crack, without being too chewy to crunch. The staff is super friendly and quick, and the indoor and outdoor seating is plentiful. Tried their saba breakfast tacos subbing out bacon for chorizo to change things up...no difference in quality, quantity and taste...BOMB! 3 light, crisp corn tortillas filled, (I mean packed), with scrambled eggs, chopped jalapeños, diced potatoes and light grated cheese. They definitely don't skimp on the ingredients. With each bite I was able to get tri tip, cheese, lettuce and taco. The taco is nicely toasted and with a hint of cheese. They have a special sauce that is a spicy sauce. It was nicely paired with the tri tip. They have in door and out door seating. The staff are super nice and friendly. I get the hype. This was the smokiest brisket I've had in a while. Not super juicy but all the other fixings in the brisket tacos compensate for that. Would prefer shredded cabbage to shredded lettuce but, oh man, the tacos are a flavor bomb! And don't get me started on the salsa.
