I always bring overseas visitors here as it's a guaranteed great meal. I've never had a bad food experience here. The ambiance is lovely and the only downside to this restaurant is that it isn't larger. Its small size puts time pressure on both staff and patrons. I would give it four stars for that reason if I could bring myself to, which I can't because the food's too good! :) My advice to patrons would be to book a table at IL Vicoletto outside of the weekend dinner evening rush. The homemade pasta is an experienced to be savored, especially if you order the wild boar ragu.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. Il Vicoletto was amongst the best restaurants we visited during our trip to Dublin. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat great Italian food.

Well that's finally arrived in the form of a lovely Italian (as in the people running it are Italian) cafe/restaurant called Cafe De Bróc. They make their own pizza (regular AND gluten-free, which my girlfriend can confirm actually is gluten-free) as well as several pasta dishes that I'll be back to check out. They also do lunchtime regulars like a club sandwich. I had the lamb burger topped with blue cheese myself which was lovely and came with a side salad or chips. Aoife was very impressed with her pepperoni pizza, although was regretting her lack of adventure when we saw another pizza come out topped with Parma ham. It looked amazing. The pizza, burger, a sparkling water and takeaway coffee (good and strong, the way you'd expect Italian coffee to taste) came to €32 which i was happy to pay given the quality of the food. The staff were very friendly, particularly the manager/owner who showed the kind of concern and friendliness that you only get from someone who has a personal stake in a business. The space itself is very bright due to glass doors along half the front of the restaurant which was nice to have on a sort-of sunny day. In closing this is a lovey little (seats about 30?) place that i'll be coming back to again and again.

Yes! La Dolce Vita!…read more Cozy and welcoming family owned restaurant. We visited 3 times during our stay in Dublin. That's how much we loved it. The presentation of the food is spectacular. Even something simple like garlic bread was beautifully displayed. The food in itself is incredibly tasty. We only came here once for lunch. They offer a great lunch special for €10.95. It includes a 2 course meal. I love the cheesy garlic bread. I enjoyed everything I tried, but I think the penne carbonara was my favorite. It was so creamy. I wanted to drink the sauce. Their Caesar salad is delightful, the homemade dressing is divine. Desserts are scrumptious and purely decadent The Nutella brownie is a must have. The restaurant is small. When it's busy it can feel cramped. It's perfect any social situation like a romantic date, a business meeting or a big family gathering. 5 stars. Beautiful food, cordial service, and pleasant ambiance.

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's
