    Exterior with outdoor seating

My husband and I had dinner here once, after the Hotel Davenport recommended it as a nearby restaurant that served a good dinner. The ambiance is that of a polished Italian restaurant, rather than a simple pizza restaurant. We sat indoors, but outdoor seating is also available. We walked in without a reservation around 5:00. The restaurant did not look busy. The host gave us a disapproving look and asked us to wait for a minute to see if he could fit us in. He agreed to seat us. He told us we would have a time limit for dinner, something like 1.5-2:00 hours. We agreed. We have heard similar snobby speeches from other restaurants elsewhere in Europe. (We rarely make dinner reservations in Europe as we have difficulty using our American phones.) The table service was fine. My husband ordered a dish with clams, prawns, calamari, tomatoes, etc. He got some ravioli with it. I believe I ordered a meat dish with a mushroom sauce. I thought my dinner was very good. My husband was not impressed with his dinner. We both liked our salads a lot. The cannoli dessert was excellent. The food was magnitudes better than at another Italian restaurant we visited in Dublin.

At last! At last I have found a place that does not make me break wind all day... Oh don't roll your eyes we all do it - bottom burps are all natural. All day is not natural. This only happens when I eat undercooked risotto. Today the manager insisted I try theirs, "I really don't want to fart all day." "Your choice." "OK." Lads the joy. At last a place in Dublin that I have found that cooks risotto right! I had the sea bream which was beautiful, complimented perfectly with a subtle glass of white - I wish I could remember the name. We also got to share their own homemade vanilla ice-cream whilst we sipped our espressos, delicious. Upstairs looks like an unassuming café, downstairs it opens up to dining area. The natural light from the skylights above give a warmth to the space. I am always a fan of open kitchens which they have. Also there is a coffee bar. Toilets were spotless and the service was great.

For a slice of Italy in the middle of Dublin make your way to Il Caffe' di Napoli. This authentically Italian cafe/restaurant serves up some quality coffee and Italian fare in the lush surrounds of this cute little cafe. Most of the staff are Italian and actually SPEAK Italian to one another (not to the customers, thankfully!) This makes for a really cool vibe and adds to the authenticity no end. The coffee here is seriously good, and is definitely worth a trip! Il Caffe' di Napoli is a little off the beaten track but I'll most certainly be heading back there for a coffee very soon. It's right near Pearse St Station so is a good place to stop off if you're waiting on the Dart. Downstairs there is an Italian restaurant, which I've not yet experienced, but it looks like a great place for a sit down lunch with friends or work colleagues.

I actually didn't realise it is not just a cafe but that they have a downstairs restaurant as well. I usually just walk past on my way to somewhere. But this time I was looking for something to eat and had a look at their menu. So I still don't know how the Cafe part is but I surely enjoyed my visit to the restaurant. The decor is warm and relaxing and despite being downstairs bright due to it being rather like a conservatory. I went for one of their specials of the day: Linguine scalops and had a glass of their Verdicchio (white vine). Together with an Espresso the bill came to around €25 which is for Dinner in Dublin with vine quite good. I actually was lucky too. Turned out they had the price for the Linguine €2 too low at the time when I ordered. They changed it while I was there but still gave me the price I ordered for. Pretty sure I'll go back for another treat there.

Noc see little cafe.  The capacitor I had was great.  Small neighborhood feel.  Not rushed, and the staff are friendly.  Light toasted sandwiches, coffee, wine, and other light fare.  A great place to enjoy Dublin.

I've been to this place twice which is strange considering that I work practically next door! In any case, there are some things you must know: About Me: -I don't drink coffee -I'm super fussy about my food, but love it dearly -While I'm price conscious, I will happily fork out for good food -I still haven't worked out how to upload images, but once I do, I'll get them uploaded. About this place: -The staff need you to woo them. They were friendlier the second time I was there. -Think it's a fall out from the boom time, but Irish Waiting staff need to think happier thoughts while in work! - If you see a group of Italian adults eating and drinking in the place, you know you are onto a winner! (Big group of cackling, giggling, mature Italian women - check). My Experience I picked out a pre-made salad. First off, the quality was superb, but a little lacking for €5.20 (take away). It didn't have any meat (which might justify the cost). If they could add a little more to the salad, I'd be happy to pay the money, but decided to go with a more affordable option instead (Honest to Goodness, for those interested).

Restaurant downstairs, sandwiches/cakes/coffee cafe upstairs. There's lots of yummy things to choose from and the salami panini was one of the best I've had in Dublin. For the restaurant downstairs, I love that they allow you to order small portions of the pasta dishes (which is perfect for me). There's outdoor seating as well!

If you like good expresso, il cafe di napoli is the place where you have to go. In a city where the expresso vary between mad to undrinkable, il cafe de napoli seemed like an oasis. Addionaly they have good and fresh food and the pizzas are amazing: the dough is crispy and really in the really Napolitano style. Thank you Fabio for the recomendation:)

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

After finishing the starter, it took a bit too long for the main dish to come out. Once it did come out, we were kind of full from the first dish. The wife for the Zucchini Primvera. The pasta seemed liked it could have been cooked a bit more. It probably needed another minute or so before it was Al Dente. Overall, the food was good and I would come back for sure.

Why I'll go back: wide variety of sauces lets you satisfy any craving…read moreYou HAVE to order: the arancini (how's that for a curveball) Tony's Tip: Given the generous portion size and wide variety of sauces, if you can do a group of 4-6 you'll be able to sample a lot more of the menu. Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
