Angelina's in Dublin has a really cute vibe. The atmosphere is what drew me in. It's stylish, cozy, and feels like a spot you'd want to hang with good people, which is what I did. The service was nice and the space itself is lovely. The food; it was just okay. Not bad, just not as memorable as everything else around it. I enjoyed being there more than I enjoyed what I ate. If you're going for the ambiance, drinks, or a relaxed dinner vibe, it's worth it. The food wasn't my biggest takeaway, however. Drink menu is expansive and wines were excellent. read more

This is probably the rarest steak I have ever eaten in Ireland. I usually think about ordering medium rare and I am glad I didn't, as it probably would have come out raw. Saying that, if I wanted a rare or medium-rare steak this would be the place. However, it wasn't a very good steak. The meat was pretty tough, and they didn't offer a steak knife and I had to cut it with a butter knife. When it came down to it, I enjoyed the mashed potatoes that were served as a side more than the steak. read more

Went to Angelina's for the FOURTH time last night and it is by far our favorite restaurant in Dublin. The decor is scrumptous. The staff is the most fun and friendly - just makes the whole experience that much more wonderful. Every dish we've had - pasta, fish, appetizers, salad, pizza - are knockouts. The fresh ingredients and flavors - Angelina's is keeping us from exploring more restaurants every time we visit Dublin from NY because we can't get enough. BRAVO! read more

Phenomenal service, the hostess was extremely kind and set up an outdoor and indoor seat for us to choose from without us asking. Our server Teresa was very friendly and offered superb suggestions. Our entrees, the Truffle and Speck pizza and Short Rib Ragu, were both excellent-- especially the pizza which was one of the best I'd ever had. There is a lovely outdoor seating area on a canal that is perfect for golden hour and sunset times, but we sat inside for night service where the vibe is exquisite. wonderfully friendly service. came in to meet a friend for dinner and was caught in the storm. With drenched hair, I asked for a cloth napkin to dry off some and they were very friendly and accommodating (no judgement). The service throughout the meal was attentive, friendly and well paced. The food was delicious. My friend started with the shrimp tempura which had a nice kick to it. it was well seasoned, crispy (tempura batter) and tender. I had the chicken liver pate which was rich and creamy. The toast points were perfect. We both ordered the miso baked hake, which was tender, moist and so flavorful. The black rice had a nice bite and the seaweed was crispy and salty (a nice balance to the meal). We saved room for dessert and split the vanilla honeycomb sundae with pecans (pic coming). so, so, so good! would definitely come back and try the pizza and other items on the menu! read more

AMAZING !! Had a fantastic night in Angelinas to celebrate my birthday. From the second we walked in the door we had a magical experience The decor is fab - quite New York style comfortable but very cool. The view out over the canal is unreal with barges drifting by all night. You'd be hard pushed to believe you were in Dublin City The food was outstanding - everything we tried really hit the mark as you will see from the photos. We had cocktails to finish and they didn't disappoint. The service was really the high point of the evening - the perfect amount of attentiveness without being over bearing. Great location on the canal and a well decorated interior with large red banquet booths, unfinished wood ceiling, great light fixtures, wood burning stove, and a semi-private eating area raised above the rest of the floor. Lots of things on the menu I'd have tried, but I went for an open-faced sourdough toast with bacon, avocado, and poached egg. Wonderful presentation, tasty flavors, good-sized portion. My friend had something similar but with mushrooms and she said it was very good. We both also had cocktails that were like the smashes served at Maude's Liquor Bar in Chicago, tons of crushed ice, cucumber slices, pickled ginger flaked across the top. Excellent flavor. Great experience! One think I absolutely love the interior! Its just perfect! Clean and nice looking place! We booked the place for lunch. We went there with work colleagues - 8 of us- 12 pm its the right time - after 12:30 there is a chaos, really busy. As I said we went there at twelve and it was empty. Plesant lady met us on the arrival and showed us where to sit! We sat down and order some drinks. Drinks arrived really fast! Great staff. Then we ordered food and waited for about 10-15 minutes. Quick enough. The food was okay. Not really worth a price. Thats why i put just 4 stars. Food wasn't bag, just portions were strange- pizza and burger is big and main course (chicken or fish) were small. I had fish- it was great with nice souse but next time i would have pizza- they are delicious ( i had a piece). My friend has lamb- she said tge bread was dry and meat also :( Go to the toilet! Extremely disappointed, i havnt been there for some time and i went for a brunch with two of my good friends last sunday. We had avocado/salmon with poached eggs on sourdough ( i had it without the eggs). It was The Worst avocado on toast we all agreed we have ever had. How can you go wrong with this simple order!!! The sourdough was dry and too chewy and the avocado was mashed i can taste like a creamy thing ( horrible) there was huge random piece of lattice and lots of hollandaise sauce and on the top smoked salmon! It was just bad in every way and form. We paid 15.50 for something we wouldn't eat for free! I think Angilena needs to work on their menu and their food level because its going down. read more

New restaurant/bar to join the upper Baggot Street area and boy am I delighted! It's a very big, spacious restaurant offering a few different type of seating / dining areas plus with a terrace overlooking the canal, when summer comes around... The seats on the terrace will be like gold! There is a great bar area so if you're not stopping for food... It's still a very welcoming bar which you can enjoy a drink without having to actual dine here however, if you do decide to dine... You won't regret it! Been twice now, 1st time I had the pulled lamb pizza which was so god dam tasty; wood fire oven pizza made in a space which is open for you to see the chef prep you pizza. My husband had a pasta dish and it was absolutely delicious, best example of pasta I've had in Dublin in such a long time. 2nd visit was for brunch... And loved it! They have a great selection of benedicts, then all the usual faves like french toast, pancakes, etc. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, in one instance, we ordered a dessert however when it arrived it was a panacotta however, we hadn't seen or maybe noticed that it was chilli infused and whilst we enjoy spicy food it was a little overpowering. The waitress noticed we hadn't finished it and asked if everything was ok, before we knew it she was off talking to the chef, confirmed it was chilli infused and offered another dessert, then comp'd it off our bill and this was without us asking or pushing, she was just so prompt and efficient... For me, this is customer service at its finest! So 2 visits down, looking forward to my 3rd already :-) read more

Came here for sunday brunch the other day! Unfortunately it was full (always is, you really need to make a reservation), so we had to sit outside although it was cold. The outside terrace is heated though, so thankfully it wasn't a problem. The brunch menu offers a variety of typical sweet and savoury options like eggs benedict variations and pancakes. I went for eggs benedict and a kale juice. It was really nice! Definitely recommend this place. I will have to go back and try their lunch/dinner menu one day. read more

A welcome addition to the Lower Baggot area, located on the canal with a nice outside area on the canal itself. I've been in for dinner and brunch - both time have been worth while. You don't just have to eat, there is a nice bar which you can sit up at and enjoy some nice cocktails or a nice draft pint. Food! Co'mon, thats why we are here! Brunch, Benedicts! what else? I went for the Angelina, maple glazed pork belly and sweat potato cubes.. The eggs were seriously on the money, and the pork belly had a lovely sweet smoked flavour from it which went seriously well with the hollandaise sauce! my wife ordered the Crab cakes, pink grapefruit & avocado chilli kale benedict - the crab cakes them selves were very nice and again the egg were perfect. the only think I thought was a misfit was the grapefruit, just not sure where it fits in with the dish. The second time we came back was for dinner. I order the Orecchiette, fennel pork, swiss chard, parmesan & fennel pollen pasta.! so good on so many levels! seriously! enjoyed it with a nice glass of house red and I was not disappointed at all. I was stuffed when finished. The staff are very nice, quick to get to you as is the food which is nice. This will be a regular place for us and I'd highly recommend it to a friend for a nice casual meal or as a nice treat with the better half, the menu offers both the budget option and the higher end option, both value for money. read more

This place is very close to my office which is perfect because.... it is magical! Just on the water, you will definitely enjoy having a drink (very nice cocktails 11€ and good choice of wines) there afterwork! I eated there once as well, the starters are actually very big (I had a crab salad) the pizzas are tasty. I just didnt enjoy that much the chocolate mousse but maybe because im french and i had another idea of a mousse on my mind, but i tried the cheesecake and it was good. Hadn't been for brunch in a long time, so I had serious poached egg withdrawal symptoms! Angelina's has been on my list since it has opened, and today was finally the day. I was surprised by how spacious the restaurant was, and the booths are perfect for bigger groups. It was full of groups of girlfriends, catching up on the night before over some hair of the dog cocktails. The menu had a few options on it that were tempting. I went for the avocado, ricotta, bacon and poached eggs on sourdough. The portion that came out was huge. The american style bacon was nice and crunchy, but way too much of it. Since it's very salty it overpowered the flavour of the soft avocado/ ricotta mousse, which was a shame as that mousse was divine! One of my poached eggs wasn't runny, I hate when they overcook them, so I told our waiter. He promptly came back out with not one but two perfectly poached eggs. Bonus points for that! My friend had the full irish (a ridiculous big portion!). I tried some of the porkbelly on it. yum, every full irish should come with pork belly from now on, I have decided. I washed it all down with a refreshing carrot/ apple juice. read more

So you're paying top dollar for the shitest food of all time, served to you by cranky wait staff that blame their colleagues in the kitchen. My pal ordered a chicken-less salad, because she's veggie and it came with chicken! No biggie, mistakes happen and we sent it back, only for it to return with the chicken picked out of it and a rogue piece lurking beneath a few wilted leaves of rocket. I'm horrified by this place. It makes me cringe. How they thought they'd get away with just picking the chicken out of a salad and returning it is beyond comprehension. I mean, if you're going to do it, make sure it's all gone..... Do they do they same for someone with a nut allergy or coeliacs disease? Just pick out the allergen? The decor here is beautiful and if it's nice weather, the outdoor seating would be really nice. The location decor is a similar vibe to Sofie's. When I came here for brunch I remember my eggs being really dry and overcooked. The pork belly wasn't very generous and the portion sizes weren't enough. Not sure if they've since changed since it's been a while since I came here. Also, I remember the staff not being the nicest and even though we had a reservation, they seated us right under a coat rack (imagine everyone hanging their coats on my head...yes) My second time here was for lunch - it seems things had gotten a bit better (or they're just better at doing lunch) - the mushroom flatbread was pretty good. Finally there's the cafe separate to the restaurant - this is the one part of Angelina's that I do think they're doing a great job at; I've tried to add it as a business but it's been rejected a few times - this is where I'd give 4 stars rather than 3 for Angelina's Restaurant. I come often for the three salads and a protein lunch deal - hot rotisserie chicken is a protein option - amazing! The salads are all GREAT and both the Asian broccoli and the sweet potato are my favorites. One thing to note though - the coffee at the cafe isn't great.... read more

We arrived a couple minutes before our booking and were asked to wait at the bar. We sipped on our drinks and before we knew it 10 minutes had gone by...then 20...then 30...and a few minutes after that we were FINALLY taken to our table. More than a 30 minute wait with a reservation is a bit ridiculous. Luckily after the initial wait our waitress was pretty prompt. To start I had the fennel pork orecchiette and it was good but not terribly memorable. J had the seafood tagliolini and his brother had the goat cheese tortellini. Again, good but not great. For mains we had a variety with the sea bass, pan roasted halibut, roast chicken and the Irish rib eye. My halibut itself was tasty but the accompaniments were quite bland. Reviews from the other three were no different. For whatever reason we decided to stick around for dessert. The vanilla honeycomb sundae with toasted pecans and salted caramel sauce sounded incredible so we each ordered one. It was basically a scoop of SuperValu vanilla ice cream with two pecans and bits of stale biscuit for a cool €7.95 each. The space is really cool and has an interesting atmosphere that initially seemed posh but quickly deteriorated to pretentious. Pretentious is fine as long as you have the food to back it up! read more

Possibly one of the best, if not the best, brunches I've had anywhere and certainly in Dublin. Four of us rocked up on Sunday. First impressions were very good. Nice room, busy with a great buzz and free parking literally outside the door, although that was more down to dumb luck than anything else. We all ordered different things. I opted for the Angelinas Breakfast which was outstanding. The sausages, pork belly and Clonakilty black passing were of particular note. I usually don't like beans with breakfast but these were roasted and delicious. The others had avocado toast (nice if you like that kind of thing), chorizo beans which shouldn't have worked but did and pancakes which looked delicious yet deadly in its sugary sweetness. Lattes all round rounded it out. Not cheap to be honest but great value for money nonetheless? For future reference a recommended future dish consisting of pancakes with eggs was suggested to mix the sweet and savoury. Who am I to argue. Genuinely can't wait to go back. read more

I'm going to start with what I love about this place. Location and decor. Having a terrace onto the water is so nice when the sun is out and the whole place looks slick. Plenty of space, comfy seats and a decent amount of staff all add up to a pleasant experience. Now what I don't like, the menu/food. It's not that the food isn't nice, or that the menu doesn't have enough options, it's just so inconsistent. Over several visits there have been items removed from menus online (I get why, still annoying), completely different menus offered, timing of menu changes altered, variations served to what was on the menu without warning. All of this adds up to a bit of a free for all when visiting. If they sort the menu stuff, easily at least an extra star. But until then, I'd recommend ringing and asking about what's available first! read more

Not quite Angelina's restaurant but the new deli they've opened...grabbed a salad for lunch as I was passing today. The menu is a little hard to grasp at first but once I got my head around there's was plenty to chose from. There was a fab smell of bacon when I walked in which is what I think persuaded me to order the Cobb Salad! Really fresh ingredients and even more generous servings. Pricier than your average take out salad but more plentiful so no complaints here! Will certainly be back to sample more of the menu! read more

This must be one of the worst pizza places in Dublin. A fancy menu doesn't make a good pizza - mine was ridiculously dry ( the goat cheese one) my friends (wild mushroom) a bit better - but neither of us were impressed. This just reminded us of frozen Dr. Oetker Ristorante with fancy ingredients. Too much salt - this pizza experience broke my heart. Two other friends ordered burgers - again - dry and very small portion of meat, plate full of fries to make up for the small burger (15€....)They didn't like it. The good things: Toscana Zuppa - tasty, but I've never tried it anywhere else - so I can't compare. Parmesan fries - good. Service - good. I will not come back. read more

I have been to this restaurant before and absolutely loved it. Therefore I came back for Sunday brunch. Unfortunately I was very disappointed this time round. It was literally a children's playground. There were children everywhere, from running in between the tables to playing with the curtains. It was very noisy and distracting that my friend and I couldn't wait to get out. The food is still very good, but avoid going here on Sundays as it's filled with parents and kids. Angelinas is always pretty reliable if you're looking for a decent italian meal in a nice setting that won't break the bank. The staff are lovely, the food is great and the beer is cold. That wasn't very impressive. I went with my friend for a lunch because the place seems very promising. I had a salmon served with mashy and overcooked lentils, and my fried had a burger. I'm not sure if that's a good idea to serve salmon with the skin and the sauce. Either make it crispy or take of the skin. Also, something weird and brow was covering the top of all. My fried had a burger and it was ok. I think place is bit overpriced and I guess more suitable for a drinks than food. read more

My fiancé and I ate here on our trip to Dublin and had a great meal. We sat outside by the canal on the most beautiful day and had dinner. We ordered the margarita pizza, the goat cheese and peach salad and ended with the ice cream sundae and tea. Would order it all again! We also felt that the service was really great. We had a mix up with our order and had to wait a little longer for the food to come out but the GM/ Owner took care of it. When we head back to Dublin - would definitely stop in again. read more
