What an awesome winery! Located not too far from civilization, this place has a great view of Temecula's Wine Valley. Their outdoor layout is perfect for sipping on wine and listening to live music. Unfortunately, when my party visited it was raining so we were forced to stay indoors, which actually wasn't too bad. The layout was great. Tons of space and elbowroom to sit back and relax and carry on a conversation with a friend or two. Good eyecandy too! Considering it was Football Playoff Sunday, we were able to get our eat and drink on while watching the games and enjoying the live music. The atmosphere here was excellent. All the people, young and old were having a good time. Their prices on wine tasting were reasonable and the food was delicious. Service was 9/10 as we were erroneously billed twice for our charcuterie platter, but that was quickly resolved. The bartenders were generous with their pours. Will definitely come back again. I wouldn't know what their wine tastes like...we were rudely told to get a single file line when we walked into this winery...there was only 4 of us wanting to try wine. We have about 50 wineries here in Temecula Valley. This winery is located on a hill and offers some spectacular views. Bel Vino has a restaurant that serves pretty good food....salads, burgers, fish and chips. You can eat inside or outside. Thier wine bar is fairly spacious so you don't feel like you're fighting for space at the bar. Outside they have a nice stage for live music with a dance floor and lots of tables. They are dog friendly and allow dogs on the outside only. As far as the wine goes.....I would have to say it was mediocre at best. The wine seems weak and light to my pallet. Will skip family day next time. Came out today to try a new place since there was a band we had seen play in the past and it was "family day".. picked a spot and were immediately badgered by the security for bringing our kids' juice boxes and snacks. Then got talked to again about the PBJ sandwich we brought for them since they can't eat BBQ (for allergy reasons)... vibe was very unwelcoming at that point we ended up throwing away the bottle we bought so we could leave and let the other 4 couples that were meeting us know that we were going to a different spot. If you have kids you can find better family friendly venues than this one. Management should, at the very least, state on their social media that they do not allow outside food on the weekends. This place is beautiful but I want people to be aware. I do understand that kids are not allowed on the weekends and at times it's nice not having them run around. So keep that in mind so if you have kids they can't come with you on the weekends so don't sign up when your intoxicated and your here because the next time you might want to come and pick up wine maybe enjoy a glass you can't bring kids. So don't sign up if you have kids. Be aware. Now that the owner responded he is correct. We saw this after the fact. When you arrive via a limo they drop you off in the back and you don't have signs that state that no kids are allowed abs after several glasses of wine and you still a contract when your into intoxicated and then don't realize what you've signed. The venue itself is beautiful. Lots of seating inside and out. The live music on a Friday afternoon was great. However the way in which you get your wine is haphazard and disorganized. You wait at a bar and hope one of the pourers notices you. You repeat this process 6 times to complete the tasting. Many of the clientele are rude and cut in line so you can be waiting for literally 15 minutes or more to get a tasting. Would definitely not visit this winery again. I've been wanting to go wine tasting in Temecula for awhile now. I love seeing vineyards everywhere and Temecula wineries are great to check out in Southern California. We were actually trying to go to another winery but saw Bel Vino and decided to go there instead. I walked up to the wine tasting room and asked the lady at the register, "what do we do?" I need somebody to walk me through the process since it was my first time to a Temecula winery. They have different lists to try. We opted for the premium wine tasting which was $19.95 per person. It was 6 one ounce pours. I thought the price was reasonable. They have cheaper wine options which were great deals as well but we wanted to try the premium award winning wines. She then walked us to a separate bar area. I liked it better since there was less people in that area. We were able to try their 2010 merlot, 2010 cabernet franc, 2010 tart, 2010 cabernet sauvignon, 2011 zinfandel, and the 98 zinfandel port. What I loved about this wine tasting experience is you can really taste the different flavors and spices that they talk about. Most of the time I have no idea what they are talking about with wine tasting but this time it was very distinct flavors and aromas that were easily noticeable. My favorite was definitely the 2010 Merlot. The flavor was amazing. I love the taste. The grounds are gorgeous. I love the vineyards. They were setting up for a wedding reception and it looks amazing to have a party here. Looks like they are renovating the building so I am excited to see what it will look like in the end. The sweetness is plentiful at Bel Vino. It could just be my taste buds that say ifs sweet but my fiancé agrees with me too. The wines are definitely not tart, they are sweet. I must emphasize the sweet profile. I found the Chardonnays to be favorable as they were very clean, dry and refreshing. Although Bel Vino's wine is sweet their food is pretty darn savory. Loved the pepperoni and sausage pizza. The crust was crisped up to perfection and the portion was very generous. I had the Bel Vino Chicken Sandwich which was a pretty amazing work of art. The bread was a little thick for me, but everything else was fantastic. The fries that came with it were probably my favorite since they were dusted in a Cajun seasoning, a fine little touch. Melissa, our host, was excellent. She was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. We opted to dine inside where it was nice and air conditioned and she was working so hard to keep us on point with our whole dine in and wine in experience. The view outside is just spectacular. There's a nice outdoor stage with cafe lights string. I can only imagine dancing in the moonlight on those wild Friday and Saturday nights! Overall great experience. Tasting was $18 and we shared, parking is free, ambiance is on point everything was very clean, and product was good. The wines are indeed sweet and they also have actual dessert wines! Love their red wines, we have been members for about 8 years, back when this place was called Stuart Cellars. The previous owners had some great wines. New owners have good wines as well and often discount prices for club members and visitors. If you like BIG Reds this is the place in Temecula for you. The only thing I do not like is the TVs, it gives the winery a club like atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the wines. Great experience every time when you go there. read more

BEWARE IF GOING WITH A WINE BUS TOUR!!! Very scenic venue, with a great selection of tasty wines. My issue is with the manager Jason. My group of 25 friends and I came there on a birthday wine bus tour through the company Black Onyx. I was told by the driver to speak to Jason upon arrival, as the two groups had worked out some deals for my friends. I was greeted by the bartender Ben who was very nice, relayed I was there through Black Onyx and asked if I could speak to Jason. Ben told me he was aware of the group booking and gave me cards that HE SAID, "Were for 6 complimentary tastings and 25% off of wine bottles and beer." I was extremely happy as I was not planning that good of a deal and confirmed with Ben that we got that nice of a discount. He said "He was pretty sure but let him call Jason just in case". A minute later Jason came out, shook my hand and re-stated that the cards given to me were for "6 free tasting, and 25% wine bottles and beer". Fantastic! About 30 minutes after we left the winery I received a text from the bus service saying that my group did not pay for their tastings and that I owed $487.50. Which I said I'd call them after the tour to discuss. In a 3 way phone call between the bus service manager, Jason and I, Jason said that he never told me that the cards were complimentary and pretended like he never met me or shook my hand while confirming the deal between them and Black Onyx. I agreed to pay for a portion of the cards as some of the couples would have been happy to split tastings or just bought a bottle instead. I think Jason thought he could get away with defrauding my group since it was a rainy day and not very busy at the vineyard or now as I'm reading other people's experience's they have some racist workers there. Either way, skip this place on your next trip to Temecula. read more

This was my favorite winery from our little winery hopping adventure in Temecula. There was live music as soon as we walked up and the atmosphere was super fun. We did two wine flights which included 5 tastings each. Jose answered all of our questions about the wine and gave us excellent recommendations. We ended up getting a bottle of the Butterfly Effect cab because it was so smooth and delicious. We can't wait to come back! read more

While we were in Temecula this President's Day weekend, we hit a total of four wineries and the Bel Vino was by far the best of the bunch for a few reasons. We came in on Sunday and there was a live band (the OC British Invaders) playing outside in the grass area across from the bistro. People were dancing and hanging out enjoying the jolly atmosphere. Per the staff, there is a live band every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They also have a Salsa night that requires a $10 cover charge. The tasting list offered quite a decent selection of both red and white wines to try and we ended up buying two bottles during our visit. We purchased a bottle of the Cabernet Franc and the Dolce Semi-Sweet Red. Each one provided distinct flavors and undertones that highlighted a great complex wine. Before we started our tastings, we ordered a charcuterie platter that was excellent. It had a some soft and hard cheeses, crackers, sweetened walnuts, and a little jam to sweeten things up. The tasting list was longer than most places and offered a good variety of wines. Six samples cost $17. It was well worth the cost. I don't recall trying anything that I didn't like. While I can be a little snobbish with my wine at times, it was not necessary here at all. My palette loved everything. Each sample was concisely described in regards to taste and history. Each wine host was extremely knowledgeable about each wine and offered pairing suggestions if asked. As I mentioned, they had an outdoor bistro area where food and drinks could be ordered. Or you could pre-order food and have it brought to you while you were doing a tasting. We chose the latter because it was a little chilly outside. The inside offered three full length tasting bars and a spacious seating area where you could relax and enjoy some wine and cheerful atmosphere. Overall, we both really loved this winery for what it offered and the relaxed atmosphere in which it was presented! If you are looking for a cool place to hang out for a while and take in some great wine, this is an excellent spot to begin or end a day in Temecula! read more

Tables don't get cleaned up, the 10 of us watched it left there with trash on top for an hour. At the bar no one bothers to take our order. The music outside belonged to a club not a winery. We went to Bel Vino Winery to pick up some bottles and with the off chance they might be open. Well they were open Sunday May 10th, however only partially open. We were able to purchase some bottles and since we had our own chairs, fold up table, cups and a wine opener we found a spot on the lawn area along the fence line and enjoyed the views and the beautiful weather. We went on a busy Saturday and the place was bombarded with the tour buses. It's definitely a different feel there from most wineries in the area. It's a very relaxed and unpretentious environment with good (not fancy) food for reasonable prices, which you can't say that about most wineries. I love Bel Vino Winery. My first visit here I went on a girls trip and it was packed!!! This time I came on a wine tour on a Wednesday, with Bel Vino being our first stop. Let me say I'm not a big wine drinker and am not an expert at all, so can't speak specifically to the kinds of wines they have. However, my husband is and they had a variety of reds and whites we both enjoyed. (We liked it so much we swung back by at the end of our tour to buy bottles). Courtney was fantastic. She created a great experience! She was really friendly and had a nice conversation with us. Although all places have conversations with their guests, she had a personality that sets her apart. I also liked that when I told her I don't really drink too much wine, she directed me to sweeter tastings I could enjoy. I like that Bel Vino has a fun feel without being uppity and pretentious. They also have a retail space you can get some goodies at on your way out. read more

We came with a wine tour bus group and they did not allow our friend with a nursing baby to stay, and they made them stand in the parking lot with their 6 month old. We used to be members here, but thank God we cancelled our membership. This place has gone so far downhill and their clientele is unbelievably subpar. If you see my other reviews I rarely write any reviews below four or five stars. However, this place was really just subpar. We waited at the bar and no one really cared to serve us. We got a few bottles to share between our party however there was no seating to be found inside. The outside courtyard had some seating and tables however there was a DJ playing super loud, obnoxious, music. Think top ten on repeat. Good luck hearing the person next to you. The bar inside was filled with drunk, loud, screaming people. If you want to enjoy the scenery you will risk blowing out your eardrums. Not really my idea of a relaxing afternoon or somewhere to enjoy wine tasting. Maybe OK for your early twenties when you want to get shitfaced. Also the most part- the wine- was terrible. We went to Altisima afterwards which I highly recommend- great food and wine and a fantastic view. read more

We always have a great time here! No other winery has the great music line up that Bel Vino does. But what pushes it to a whole new level is bartender Ben. We are always amazed at how fast, professional and friendly he is. His station is always busy, but somehow he manages to stay calm and treat every person with a great attitude and a smile. He deserves a promotion and a raise.... But, please don't keep him away from serving your guests, he's a gem and a big asset to your winery! read more

We did a tasting at this winery, the tasting consists of 6 wines. They have a selection of about 5-6 whites and about the same amount of sparkling wines. The selection for reds is a little bigger. I prefer sweeter wines, so I liked all of the whites besides the Chardonnay. I also enjoyed the Bel-vino semi sweet red and the red port. It was an average experience and in the beginning they didn't have any glasses, so we did have to wait longer than usual to be served. Furthermore, they have a wine club membership which includes free tasting once a month and since we went there at the end of the month it was super crowded. read more

Reading the previous yelp reviews, I really wanted to dislike this winery. Purchased a groupon and decided the husband and I would have a early excursion on a beautiful Sunday morning. Got to the winery around 10:15am and was greeted by Erika. Checked in with our Groupon and made our way to the bar. Met up with Daniel and had a wonderful experience. Daniel was attentive , thoughtful and offered his opinions on the wines (which we appreciated). The wines were great and appropriately priced. Great atmosphere, great views and great staff. We joined the wine club and Daniel clearly pointed out that if we purchased bottles today, it would not fulfill next months shipment. Give this place a try, they really are awesome!!!! read more

Came to Bel Vino on a Wednesday afternoon as part of Temecula's SIP Passport program. The winery sits up on a hill, and the view is gorgeous. Unfortunately, their tasting room doesn't take advantage of the view at all! It's rather small and dark, in fact. But it's well-decorated, and there's ample bar space and other seating. More importantly...the tasting itself. Standard 6-pour tasting. They offer a wide variety of reds and whites to choose from (though I only stuck to reds). I enjoyed everything I tried (though I don't have the most discriminating palate, so interpret how you will). Our server recommended the '08 cab franc, and it was by far my favorite! Pours were pretty generous compared to places we went later in the day, and the oyster crackers were a nice touch. read more

Although they have cheese pizza, a vegetarian charcuterie board and hummus on their menu, they didn't have any of those options available on a Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. Was wine tasting in the area and stopped with some friends here. Casey (i think her name was) was super nice and helpful at the bar area describing the wines. We were having a great time, had already bought wine at our previous stop and were joking about how we were going to fit another case in from Bel Vino.... We took a small break half way between our tastings that we had paid for and the Manager came over and told us to move, we explained that we were just told by one of their employees that it was ok to sit at thetable and the manager or whatever kinda firmly told us to move. Just felt like this was kinda rude. We were told to go sit behind the establishment outside which we did but shortly after we all just left without finishing our tasting. We drove from Los Angeles to visit this winery, just didnt feel as welcoming or accommodating as the other places we visited that day. Bummer read more
