Came back to this winery and brought my parents this time, and it was such a lovely experience. We visited middle of the week, so it was nice and --no crowds at all. The vineyard views were beautiful, and the whole setting made it easy to slow down and just relax. It was one of those perfect California days with sunshine, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere. Definitely a great spot to unwind and enjoy a quiet, scenic outing.

If you're looking for a good quiet spot to have a nice glass of wine, then Callaway is the place to be. The weather was beautiful, sun shining and nice breeze. I had a tasting and my favorite glass was my final glass that was a mix of the late harvest and a white which turned out to be refreshing and sweet. I am NOT a wine person so apologies for not being more specific about what I was drinking lol! Staff was nice and pours came fast, definitely like this spot!

We were first time visitors on 3/25/26. Very much enjoyed the views and the wines. Our server Sierra was very friendly , knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend! Oh, and we also were able to use a military discount! Kudos to Callaway for offering that!

This was a stop on our wine tour and they had a private barrel set up for tasting. The wine was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. The tasting room was very lively and busier than most of the other wineries we visited but the service was still fast and friendly.

Callaway was our first winery we stopped off at on our booked wine tour. Out of the three Callaway was the best! I think there are about 8 wine tickets, but you definitely don't need them all because ifykyk! Overall it was a great time for our group of 16, there is a big outside area. Their tasting room was welcoming and they had a large variety! They are dog friendly too! (dog didn't actually drink)!

I had such a magical time here with our big group . We were celebrating my friend's 40th Birthday. We enjoyed the hospitality here and the gorgeous vineyard . The wine was also very delicious.

Voted best tour of a winery in Temecula for a reasonAlso, one of the oldest wineries in the valley, it's nice to know it's also affiliated with Callaway golf as well. Definitely one of the wineries you need to visit in Temecula. The have a restaurant on site plus some snacks available on the shop. Plenty of outdoor seating for sunny day. It's nice and intimate here. Plus the sommeliers are knowledgeable and great!

Amanda C. was excellent. She was able to find and recommend a great wine for even our most newest wine drinkers. Thank you for taking the time explaining this new world to us!!!

My son got engaged in our beautiful hometown at Callaway Winery, and it truly couldn't have been a more perfect choice. After touring a few nearby wineries, Callaway stood out immediately. Gorgeous, welcoming, and exactly what we hoped for. Jen from the events team was amazing. She went above and beyond, made everything effortless, and treated this special day with so much care. The entire experience was unforgettable! Thank you, Callaway Winery and Jen, for making my son's engagement absolutely perfect!

This place was amazing! The wines were all great and the service was amazing! Erika was very knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Even though the winery was busy, she made time to make us feel special and welcomed. Because of her we will definitely come back!

Callaway Vineyard is proof that grapes live a better life than most of us. They get pampered in perfect rows, soaked in sunshine, and then transformed into wine that makes you forget about your boss, your bills, and the fact that you once thought boxed wine was fancy. The tasting room is gorgeous like, "I suddenly feel underdressed in my best Target outfit" gorgeous. Every sip had me convinced I was developing a sophisticated palate, though really I was just nodding like, "Yes, I totally taste the notes of... uh... fruit." And the views? Unreal. You could be sipping straight grape juice and still feel like royalty with those rolling vineyards around you. So if you're looking for a vineyard that'll make you feel classy while you secretly try to figure out how many glasses it takes before you start talking to the vines, then Callaway is your spot.

Ask the Community - Callaway Vineyard & Winery

Does the winery allow outside food?

Outside only. But their Meritage Restaurant is about 75 feet away and is excellent!

    Do they have WiFi available?

If you can't enjoy wine tasting without WiFi ......?? Well, I'm sure they do.

Is there RV parking @ location?

Yes, there is a space for busses to park so they must be able to accommodate!

    Is it busy in January?

No, not usually. It's pretty calm in comparison to summer and the fall season.

    Is it family friendly?

Although I was there on a girls trip, I did see other people with children. The restaurant is probably a little less family friendly but if you take your own picnic and hang out on the grass the kids with your wine, you would do great!

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes we are dog friendly, we also have an outdoor patio.

    What's the brunch situation?

Dear Ryan, We offer Sunday Brunch besides our regular menu. the Sunday Brunch includes a glass of bubbly or a glass of Mimosa, choice of Steak and Eggs, or Frittata, or…

What is there to do in the surrounding area? I'm planning an anniversary.

Lots of smaller and bigger wineries, and some with cute attached inns/bed & breakfast. Some of them have live music on weekend nights. Old Town Temecula is great for strolling, restaurants and bars.

What the cost for wine tasting?

When I went in June it was 15

It exceeded my expectations. I was slightly iffy because it was a great price (too good to be true kind of price) and you pay when you show up, I thought for sure I was going to get jumped or scammed but we showed up to location and had a wonderful time. The tour guide was amazing in his knowledge and didn't capitalize on "ghost" just for the sake of it or embellish to make things over the top. Nothing was cheesy in his stories, which made them more creepy and he really knew the history of Temecula which was an added bonus The group size was good and everyone seemed to be enjoying it and it was family friendly (my Teen LOVED it and teens are hard to please) I will be taking tour again (and checking out the vail Ranch tour as well) and bringing more friends along. Our plan was to relax, make memories, have good food and wine, and experience the beauty of Temecula wine country. Miramonte was our first vineyard and we had dinner there on the patio. We got a table that didn't have a view and instead it was in the middle of the patio dining area. There were so many other guests around us and it was loud. At least it was shaded and I think there were misters...? So that made things enjoyable in terms of the heat. We ordered their pitcher of White Sangria (which was somewhere around $42-$48). It said there was going to be peach in the batch with other fruit. The result was frozen berries in a very water downed pitcher if white wine and ice. I hate to say this, but I have had better White Sangria at The Olive Garden. The one I make at home was 100 x's better. For food we ordered the Charcuterie Board, which was huge! That was a very impressive display of cured meats and cheeses. Totally loved the pickled vegetables! We also ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms, Oaxacan Pepperoni & Honey Flatbread, and Truffle Garlic Fries (I think they said "truffle," but I could ne wrong because all I tasted was garlic and parm). The Mushrooms were delicious! I would order that dish again, but then again I am a lover of mushrooms. At the end, I was surprised to not get any Bach party recognition. Most of the places we went to, my girls and I got perks for the celebration. I mean the hostess didn't even wish a "Congratulations." At least she was nice to get a group shot with the beautiful sunset. I am usual a 5-star giver and I feel bad giving this place a 2-star. Luckily some of the food was actually good, so thank goodness a 3-star is the final result. I mean Miramonte did set our bar very low for the rest of the wineries thus making the other ones we went to on our trip were supreme -- which were Akash and Ponte. Both Akash and Ponte were aaaaaaamazing!

When I checked the website for details, there was no additional information. The race was listed as starting at 10 AM, but the directions were unclear and there was no mention of additional fees. For starters, Parking ended up being $20. Packet pickup was also frustrating. There was an unexpected $5 fee to receive my shirt and bib, but their payment systems were not working, so many participants could not pay leading to slower and longer lines. Even the volunteers seemed confused about the fee, and some people were allowed through without being charged. After waiting in line, I found out the race actually started at noon, not 10 AM. Running at noon in April in Phoenix, where temperatures are at least 85°F, does not make sense and raises concerns about runner safety. Overall, the event was poorly organized and poorly communicated. I checked my junk mail to see if I had missed anything, but there was nothing there, and many other participants said the same, many did not receive an email in the main inbox or junk & didn't find adequate information on the website. What should have been a fun experience felt disorganized, frustrating, and a bit of a grift. I also spoke with several volunteers who said their experience was just as confusing. When I raised concerns with the person in charge, there was no acknowledgment or accountability. It is disappointing to pay $50 for an un-timed 5k race, plus $5 for packet pickup and $20 for parking, and receive such a subpar experience. I have never had a race like this before, and I hope the organizers improve their communication, logistics, and overall planning. If you're considering running this race, don't.

People kept asking why don't one of the volunteers come help the other line but we were ignored. The trail was awful for the amount of racers. There were loose rocks on most of the path, and we were bunched up like sardines for most of the way. Which made it difficult for the various speeds to move through on the path. I see why they don't have any comments on most of their instagram posts- they must delete all of the negative ones (which is all of them since there aren't any). They should shut down; this is nothing but a money grift.
