I called this company because my refrigerator/freezer is not getting cold enough. I did a Google search and found this company and read all these amazing reviews and felt comfortable reaching out. Chris was very knowledgeable and professional. He had a good idea of what the issue might have been based on my description when I called him. So, when he came out, he was ready to go. Unfortunately, my refrigerator has a closed system and he was not able to make the necessary repair. He informed me that I would have to call the company and have a specialized tech come out. While I was disappointed that he could not help me with this particular repair, I was so pleased with his professionalism, knowledge, and friendly personality, I will absolutely be calling him for a repair necessary on an appliance in my rental property and for all repairs, I might need in the future! We just had our refrigerator repaired through Belair Appliance Repair. We had a frozen refrigerator and the owner walked us through a two day thaw cycle before the repair started. Our 20 year old GE Dryer was cutting off, and/or intermittently was refusing to start. Chris came out, took apart the top, and opened it up. Of course, the problem initially refused to cooperate at first, but then it did as it warmed up. Watched him work. He is a good tech and knows his stuff (I myself am a retired tecnician for telercomm/IT, so I know what to look for). Since it seems to be heat driven (or not; it IS intermittent), Chris suspects the controller board. I concur. read more

I called Belair Appliance Repair on a Friday evening as my dishwasher had stopped working (could hear water flow/draining, but the water wasn't making it up to the racks/dishes). I left a message, figuring I wouldn't hear back until Monday. But Chris called me back Saturday morning around 11:15. He asked a few questions, and said he'd be in the area on another call, and would come by between 1pm and 3pm. Sure enough, he showed up on the early side of the time window, and after running some tests, was able to diagnose the problem as a stripped motor shaft (meaning the motor ran, but the "propellers" didn't turn or spray water). He had a replacement in his truck, and made the repair. It might have taken a little over an hour all told, and the Dishwasher is good as new. The cost was very reasonable, especially for a short notice weekend call. I'm highly satisfied with the work, professionalism, and cost. I wouldn't hesitate to call/use Belair Appliance Repair again. read more

The guy does not care at all about repairing your appliance. Al he wants is the money for the call. He missed the appointment on Friday, came on Saturday didn't do anything, and didn't even say what was wrong with my oven. I had to call him the week after and he gave me a super expensive price for the repair. Don't waste your money and time! read more

Fast reply, repair and reasonable! Our dryer stopped drying so I called and left a message at 11:30 PM on a Sunday. Chris called me at 8:30 the next morning, scheduled a 3-5 PM window the SAME day! Called Belair on a Friday to request repair of a partially functional clothes dryer (high heat not working, medium heat ok but bad squeaking noise while drying). They arrived on time (within 2hr window) on Saturday morning, and found a bad thermostat connection and a bearing to be replaced in the machine. Fixed within 30 or so minutes, along with some vacuuming of accumulated lint inside the machine before putting it all back together. Polite and efficient! I will definitely call them again for any future repairs needed for other appliances. read more

I've used Belair Appliance Repair since I bought my home 15 years ago. Chris can fix anything. He is really good at assessing the problem over the phone and always comes with the parts he thinks he'll need to repair. He's always prompt, tidy, and fairly priced. I saw the review did not find this company professional, and admittedly, it's not a big company. It's just him (his wife answers the phone - always friendly and polite, though maybe not "secretarial"). Occasionally I've had to wait a few days or longer, but he's always squeezed us in soon as possible. Highly recommend! I called Belair about a repair to my dryer. In my voicemail, I included the sound the dryer was making. Chris called me back, told me what was wrong based on what he heard and said he could be to my home in 10 mins. He was at my home in 10 mins, as promised. He is familiar enough with Bowie homes, that he knew exactly where the dryer was located. Once in the house, he was gone within 15 - 20 mins, after fixing the dryer, filling out the paperwork and being paid. He was very professional and friendly. The repair cost was extremely reasonable! I have called this company many times over the past 16 years and have been impressed by their service. Problems are promptly diagnosed, service calls are set up promptly and they typically arrive when they say they will. They have even advised me of a fix for a refrigerator problem over the phone so that no service call was needed. So I had Belair come out and fix my dishwasher about 90 days ago. They came out found out it was a clogged drain line and made the repair. Here I am 90 days later and the same problem is happening again. I called Belair on Monday 6/13 the gentleman answered the phone with no salutation at all. I had to ask "Is this Belair Appliance"? I told him about the issue I was experiencing for the 2nd time and he seemed less then interested in helping me what-so-ever. After a few min he tried to look me up in the system and set up an appointment for someone to come back out and look at the dishwasher again 6/15 between 3 - 4. My appointment day/time came and went with no phone call. I tried to call Belair left a message yesterday evening and have yet to hear from anyone. I just attempted to call again and still no answer. At this point I'm 100% over it. I'm going to look for a company that is interested in doing business and answering the phone during business hours. read more

Dryer heat stopped. Called Belair on Friday, had an appointment on Saturday, and in about an hour the technician fixed the problem, cleaning as we went into the machine and cleaning as he came out, despite working in cramped quarters.
