Once again, Via has come to the rescue and saved me from having to purchase a new appliance. Although the appliances (JennAir) came with the home 6 years ago, they have started to fail. Lucky, Via sent out one of its expert technicians (John P who has come out before for other appliances) quickly diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator, made the repair, and had our appliance back and operational. I could not be more pleased (and with the cost of the repair too!). I've been fortunate to use Via to handle repair work in many other of my homes in which I have owned. Super responsive, talented technicians, and a great value for the service. I won't call anyone else for my appliance needs. ..I trust them! read more

My experience so far has been horrible with this company. I have Cinch warranty and they use this company to complete submitted claims on appliances but since I submitted a warranty claim, Feb 24 and it's April 1 going on my 3rd week without my oven. 1st visit 2/27: service worker came by, checked out the temperature of the oven as the issue was that it wasn't heating up pass 100 degrees said a part was needed and that he will return soonest. 2nd visit 3/9: a different service worker came by, replaced the part that was ordered from the first service appointment. Oven temperature was back working and so I thought was good to go. 3/17: I come home to my entire house smelling like gas, called my gas company and fire department and they noticed that during the repair on 3/9 that the service worker pulled my oven out too far from the wall, enlarged the hole in my wall and caused a gas leak in my home. Was advised to not use my oven until it is repaired. (I attached the photo) 3/23: a 3rd service provider came by, confirmed the gas leak was caused by the service worker on 3/9 and that he will further assistance to get this taking care of. 3/27: appoint was missed, I've took off work 3 times for this matter so far didn't have the hours so I went to work and requested the service worker to call my desk when he's on the way so that I can meet him there. What delays the issue is that you can not contact the service worker directly so I was unable to provide estimate time of arrival, etc. to him directly which caused him to move on to the next claim. Today 4/1: I took off work for the window 12-3pm I am writing this review at 2:25 with no updates or status on if the service worker is coming back today. If I can provide zero stars I would. I also have to keep working with this company as THEY caused further damages to my wall/oven which still leaves me without an oven until I guess I reschedule again? read more

My experience with this company has not been good, we called as our ice maker stopped working we had to pay the $139 fee to come out and see what was going on, they were out for 10 min-If that, to tell us we needed to replace the entire ice maker, We agreed and paid for a new ice maker and another $139 for them to come out and install. The ice maker has stopped working 36 days after install and I called to get someone back out and they let me know the warranty is only for 30 days. I have asked to speak with someone higher up to waive the $139 fee for a faulty part that was installed. I am waiting for the call back and will see how they handle from there. When the technician came out to install the new ice maker, he left water all over my floor and counter and the large box with the old ice maker on my counter for me to dispose of. I would think for customer satisfaction they would take better care of the home they are in, and take the old parts with them to dispose of when completed. I moved into a newly built home in August 2024. My Whirlpool appliances were installed by the builder in April 2024. So in July 2025 when the compressor on my $2500 refrigerator quit, technically, I was outside of the one year warranty for no service fee. Even with a letter from the builder stating that I had not been in the house for a full year, they would not wave the service fee of $139. I called several times to have this reviewed and provided them with a copy of the letter from the builder, to no avail. I was without a refrigerator for a month before the part became available and it could be installed. If I have to have anything further done on my brand new appliances, I will try not to use Via Services again. Tech Dalton was here 6/25/26 , supposedly ordered compressor for my 4 year old whirlpool refrigerator that was under warranty. As of today 6/30/26 was told part (compressor) never was ordered per Lola, I have spoken to dumb, dumber and dumbest. Today 7/1/26 was told part ordered but the company they deal with doesn't have the part. I'm told they don't know when it will be available. I have called Via Appliance 3 times and I'm getting nowhere. Last person I spoke with had cockatoos squawking in the back round. I then called Whirlpool and explained my situation and she had no idea what to do and said thank you for calling whirlpool and hung up. I am insulin dependent and I am using a cooler for my diabetes medication. I just really can't believe this is America. I've had good experiences with VIA to date. Similar to others in the thread, I had and have been assigned VIA to repair my KitchenAid appliances (fridge and range). Sadly, appliances are not made well these days. All repair persons have been prompt and friendly, easy to communicate with. They have quickly diagnosed my issues and ordered replacement parts. I've been assigned follow-up service fairly quickly (typically within a week). The repairs have been efficient. My only comment and reason for a non-5 Star review is one time, for a "known issue" with the fridge, the repair technician ordered the incorrect part - effectively causing a 3 week delay in repairing my freezer door seal. Service is good, Communication is good. People are friendly. Workmanship is very good. read more

I had my appliance repair company diagnose an issue and they let me know that it should be covered under Manufacturer warranty. I contacted manufacturer and they schedule an appointment for Via to come service my fridge. When arriving I told the tech the issue and he told me that my diagnosis was wrong and ordered the "right" parts to fix the fridge. Well 2 weeks and $450 later they come to install the parts. Allow 24 hours for fridge to cool properly and nope, call and they come back out to then tell me that its the sealed compressor system and the labor would be $750 and no guarantee it would solve the issue. So out a month a $450 to be back to where I was the day I called kitchen aid. Parts were covered under warranty, so that would be all labor. I called my normal company and they said 2 hours max to make the repair. SCAMMMERS. read more

I signed up for monthly coverage thru Domestic and General insurance warranty expoebded coverage. By doing this they brought me to Via Appliance as the repair and pArts provider for my 3 year old Maytag washer and 5 year old Amana dryer. I could not be more pleased with all of the service technicians. All excellent and utterly professional. Fred mozt recently handles replacement of an internal hot wAter valve and new hot And cold stainless steel lines. A+++ for his work, explanation of that work and provided great guidance for care if he washer moving forward. Previously I have had the benefit of the outstanding work performed by Taylor on both machines. A+++ for Taylor and for Mike who came after Taylor to do one additional repair on the washer. Via has a superior call center and easy to respond to thru heir text messages and emails in addition to their pro call center staff. Via is an extremely well run business. Terrible Service and No Accountability from KitchenAid & Via Appliance Repair I don't normally take the time to do this, but I have been beyond frustrated with this experience and feel the need to make it known. I purchased KitchenAid's Fixed Price Repair service for my oven on June 23, 2025 for $350. The service was supposed to include a certified technician, full repair, and 90 days of protection. What I got was an ongoing nightmare of misdiagnosis, delays, and zero accountability. KitchenAid assigned the repair to Via Appliance Repair, their authorized vendor. The first technician misdiagnosed the issue and ordered incorrect parts. A second technician arrived weeks later, told us the first tech was an "idiot" who "does this all the time," and ordered different parts. It took nearly a month just to get to that point. They finally attempted a fix on August 4, but the exact same problem came back the very next day. Despite multiple visits and over 6 weeks without a working oven, KitchenAid refuses to offer anything more than a partial refund--and insists we keep working with Via, who has proven unreliable and unprofessional. To make matters worse: KitchenAid claims they have no control over how their "authorized" vendors operate. Via Appliance offers no management escalation, no precise scheduling, and refuses refunds. KitchenAid says I've "gone as far up the chain as possible," with no resolution. We've spent countless hours on calls, and still have a broken oven. This warranty service is a waste of money. KitchenAid does not stand by its service promises, and their vendors are not held accountable. Shane can't read house numbers I requested service on my fridge that clunked out on the 6/30/2025. I requested service the following day and it was scheduled for Thursday 7/3/2025. I was assigned the technician Shane who was scheduled to meet me on 7/3 between 11 am and 2 pm. i changed my work schedule to make sure that I was there for this appointment. Via Appliance texted me that he was on his way, however about an hour after 11 am, nobody showed up to my house or called me to let me know if they arrived so I called Via Appliance to get a status update. It turns out that Shane went to my next door neighbors house and because he was greeted by a teenage boy who's mom wasn't home, he cancelled my appointment and left the area. I requested to speak to a supervisor and I was promised on 4 different occasions that one would call me back to see what could be done before the long holiday break since I did not miss my appointment. Via appliance said that because he left the area, he's unable to come back and provide the service i requested. Via Appliance is a travesty of a repair service. All of the negative reviews, below, make perfect sense once you deal with them. They are an "authorized" repair service for Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool appliances. Kitchen Aid used to be a quality American manufacturer. No more. This specific repair was for a Kitchen Aid dishwasher purchased in August of 2024. It replaced a fine Kitchen Aid model that lasted 12 years - a perfectly reasonable life span. In June of 2025 the soap dispenser door on the new one stopped opening during the wash cycle, meaning a half-dissolved pod always remained in the compartment. Still under warranty, Kitchen Aid designated Via Appliance Repair to come and fix it. This they did. On November 24, 2025, the control panel stopped working. Now outside-of-warranty, I still called Via to fix it. A HUGE mistake! So, first, I had to pay $360 UP FRONT for a one-time repair. Ten days later their technician arrived. BUT NOT TO FIX IT! He just "diagnosed" the problem, which was obvious. The next step was he had to get the repair "approved!!!" He said "It takes about a week." Today it has been 12 days. I have heard nothing. We have been without a functioning dishwasher for three weeks - and counting. First, Thanksgiving, and now certainly Christmas. Don't use VIA Appliance Repair and don't buy Kitchen Aid products! read more

I will never use VIA Appliance Repair again. Their customer service is god awful. The technician's are great, but the way the company conducts business is deplorable. I had a tech come out and diagnose the problem with my oven on a Friday. I then received a text asking me to pay everything up front, parts, labor, shipping, etc. Which I did on Monday morning. 10 days later, I had heard nothing from VIA, not an email, a text, a call, nothing. I called them. They then said "you never paid" which was patently false because I had the receipt and confirmation. Turns out they did NOTHING. They didn't order the parts that were needed, schedule service, nothing because they allegedly didn't see the payment come through. It took me calling to even have someone investigate the payment and see it did clear and THEN they ordered the part. To make matters worse, they ordered 1 part, said they needed 2. Another week gone. Technician came and there was no need for 2 parts. This entire oven repair was told to me would take a week, it took over a month because of VIA APPLIANCE SERVICE. They offered no remedy, no discount, no even rush on the parts. Their customer service is abhorrent. This company doesn't deserve to be in business. read more

We had VIA Appliance come out about a year ago because our freezer wasn't working properly. They charged us over $1,000 for labor to repair it, and for a while it seemed fine. Unfortunately, the same exact problem came back a year later. When we called VIA again, we paid the service fee to diagnosis. The technician said a few parts needed to be replaced, which cost us another $380+. After that repair, not only was the freezer still not working, but the refrigerator section stopped cooling as well -- something that had been working perfectly fine before their visit. When another technician returned, we were told that we now needed another repair for $1,550 -- to replace the same parts as parts from last year. At that point, it became clear that the issue had not been properly diagnosed either time, and that the previous repairs did not address the root cause. We were left with a refrigerator that's in worse shape than before, hundreds of dollars lost, and no warranty or accountability for their work. Based on this experience, I can't recommend VIA Appliance. read more

These people have been out to fix my washer 6 times. They have at least 10-12 videos of it "working appropriately." The technician today, Cody, said it sounds like a train. The technician questioned the safety of the washer when I stated I did. 7 minute cycle of this noise that THEY recreated and left before the noise occurred. Two employees heard the noise because I immediately called them. They reported to Whirlpool that the worker is working appropriately KNOWING this noise is being made. Now Whirlpool closed the resolution request. Now no new washer for me! Thanks, VIA. You made sure you were paid for 6 service calls. Meantime, I can't use the washer because I don't know if it will make the noise or not that disturbs neighbors (apartment). Don't trust Whirlpool and don't trust these clowns. I guess I have to give them one star, can't give them none on this app. It is not off balance. I have 7 minutes of this noise straight when they recreated the noise and left. They've been coming since September, and one time even stating that it was the floorboards, which even Whirlpool denied and said no way. That was Justin the technician. They tried to also say it was the Downy ball, which is recommended by the manufacturer. There is no change inside either. EDIT-I see why when I threatened to review them in Yelp, they didn't care. First, it took them nearly two weeks to schedule an appointment to install my compressor for a kitchen aid refrigerator I purchased six months earlier. Then, following a snow event we had the evening before that barely produced an inch of snow, the technician calls at 7;45 am stating he in on his way and upon arrival refused to come to the house because he claims he could not access the house be cause he didn't have a "clear path" because I didn't shovel he dust of snow from my driveway. I am extremely disappointed with Via's service and their complete lack of accountability in handling the repair of my KitchenAid fridge. My home warranty company assigned Via to assess and fix my fridge, which had stopped cooling. Initially, the process seemed smooth--Sammy, the technician, diagnosed an issue with the control panel and also noted that the seals were worn though these were no causing the cooling failure, both of which were covered under my warranty. When he returned to replace the panel and install the new seals, he removed one of the old seals only to realize he had ordered the wrong replacement. Instead of reinstalling the old seal, he left it off entirely and said he would reorder the correct part. I do not even know if the new panel was functioning as the fridge could not be used without a seal. He was scheduled to return on December 13th but canceled due to an emergency, leaving me with a non-functional fridge. The next available date was December 26th, but by then, I had to travel overseas for a couple of months to care for my unwell mother. I informed Via about my situation, and they acknowledged it. Upon my return, I contacted Via to reschedule the repair, only to be told that since more than 30 days had passed, I needed to go back to my home warranty company. I explained that the delay was due to Via's mistake in ordering the wrong part and their last-minute cancellation, but they refused to take responsibility. Now, my home warranty company is denying coverage because the fridge is missing a part--the seal that Via's technician removed and never replaced. Despite numerous calls requesting assistance, Via has offered no resolution. I am now stuck with a non-functional fridge and am being told I need to pay $550 out of pocket to fix an issue that was entirely caused by their errors. For a "family-owned" company that claims to care about its customers, Via has shown nothing but disregard for my situation. I am beyond frustrated, disappointed, and frankly, furious. I cannot believe that no-one from your company has reached out to me to address my issues - extremely poor customer service. I have a KitchenAid dishwasher that stopped working a few weeks ago. After visiting the KitchenAid website, and reviewing videos regarding my specific error message, I decided to hire a professional. A service call was scheduled through the KitchenAid website, and was assigned to Via. Everything was fine at first; I was able to schedule an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, and it was confirmed by text. The appointment was scheduled for 12/19/25. The technician arrived during the window and was polite and courteous. He diagnosed a minor leak but said he needed to order a part in order to do the repair. He scheduled the follow-up for 01/06/26, and wrote it on a card printed on Via stationery. It has been all downhill since then. Sometime last week, I called Via to confirm today's appointment They had no record of it, and said the earliest they could come out was 01/12/25. A short time later, they called back and advised they could come on 01/08/26. I accepted that appointment, and put in notice to take time off work. However, I had already sent an email to the company, complaining about the mix-up on the date. A day or two later, they contacted me and put me back on the schedule for 01/05/26 (today's date). The technician appeared early in the 3-hour window and it was the same guy who had been out here on the 19th. So far, so good. He came into the kitchen and turned off the water to commence the repair. Incidentally, the problem was a small leak of some sort. However, the technician soon realized that the part he had ordered was not compatible with the leaking hose. He explained what the problem was, and called someone at his company to discuss. I was then advised that Via could not perform the repair, and that I needed to call a "handyman" or a plumber. They offered to refund the cost of the labor and the part (both of which had been paid in advance). I could not understand (and still don't) why a company that is listed on KitchenAid's website as an authorized repair service could not perform my repair. I also did not understand why the technician didn't notice this issue during the initial diagnosis. The technician apologized for the inconvenience, and left. After he left, I spent some time making calls to find a new repair service. About an hour after the technician had left, I discovered that I no longer had hot water in the kitchen. I called the technician, but the call went to voicemail. (I was aware that I was his last appointment for the day). I then called Via to advise them that their technician had left me with no hot water. I explained the issue to a guy who told me he needed to look at the notes. After a couple minutes, another guy came on the line and started telling me why they couldn't make the initial repair. I tried to explain that was not why I was calling, but he kept droning on. I had to yell at him to get him to stop droning and listen to the current issue. Then he said he would call dispatch and call me back shortly. When he called back, it was the same song and dance. He was telling me (again) that they could not do the repair and that I needed to call a plumber. I reiterated that I was only asking them to restore the hot water that they had turned off. He was not interested, and I was yelling, and he hung up on me. I called again and spoke to a woman who also began reading the same script about their inability to make the repair. I was able to remain calm and she seemed to understand what my the current problem was However, by this time dispatch was closed. She said she would convey the information to them and they would call me tomorrow. My impression at this point is that 1) either the guy ordered the wrong part, or the initial diagnosis was wrong. 2) the caused me to lose hot water, and they do not GAF. I will not use this company again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. read more

This is one of the hardest companies to work with. I have been waiting for 3 hours for their tech to arrive, they never called. They claimed they were waiting for 45 minutes, but never called and did not leave a message. This is the 4th time they have been to the house to allegedly fix the dryer. It was deep cleaned, but not really, because the next tech said he had to do that also. It still did not work, so they allegedly replaced the heater, and did another 'deep clean', it still does not work. Now, after waiting for 15 days AGAIN, they did not bother to show up. I have to wait another 15 days with no dryer. This company was assigned to us via our insurance, so we do not have a say in the matter. BTW- if you call the customer dis-service, the women there bait people, yell at them, and totally rude, then they claim to be a supervisor, and say 'we can't help you'. read more

Service was prompt and professional. I was easily able to make an appointment that suited my availability. The technician arrived on time, and was courteous and friendly. Apparently my washing machine was pretty messed up but the technician had all the necessary parts to fix it. It didn't take very long for the repair either. I won't lie and say the prices were great, but it was less expensive than getting a new washer. My machine now works as intended and I'm happy. I recommend Via Appliance Repair. read more

I had an ice maker issue that came up and my home warranty company went with ViaServices. The initial visit to diagnose went well, as did the first repair visit. The actual ice maker needed to be replaced, and that part was back ordered. No problem, totally understand! My frustration, and the reason for my 1-star review, is that when the part actually did come in and the tech came out to install it, he told me that it would take up to 72 hours to make ice and if it didn't, please call the office back to schedule someone to come back out. Well, when after 72 hours the ice maker still wasn't making ice, I called back and was shocked when I was told sorry, nothing we can do since the ticket has already been closed and they had already been paid. I called twice and was told the same thing, that even though the service had not been completed, ViaServices had been paid so they were done. I will say that the associates I spoke with were all nice and friendly, but the lack of empathy and caring if a job was completed or not was disappointing, to say the least. Though I did not choose this company initially (my home warranty company did), if I had a choice in the future, it would surely not be with ViaServices. read more

We did not realize what was happening until water started leaking in to our family room and kitchen below the washing/dryer closet. VIA Appliance Repair responded to the evidence by stating that we, the home owners, caused the water leak and that all the water damage existed before they attempted repair. What a load of crap! I may have to take them to small claims court. What a freakin headache! This company is awful. Stay far far away. (Water damage pictures are posted on my Google review). read more
