I can't say enough of how happy I was with Yuri's service. I contacted him about an issue I was having with an electrical panel. He came to the house the very next day. Turns out, the electrical panel was fine. It happened to be a GFI outlet in the garage that needed replacing. It had been painted over and hidden behind a standing shelf unit. Yuri returned my call within an hour and came out the next day to give us a quote which was very reasonable. We couldn't move forward with our construction until the lights were installed so Yuri came out on a Saturday to start the project, which we really appreciated. While he was here we asked him to install the ring doorbell because someone from the company was unable to do so with our doorbell. He only charged an extra $40 for that and the ring company had charged us $50 and didn't even send an electrician. We thought Yuri did a great job, was very nice, easy to communicate with, and showed up on time each day. We ended up hiring him to fix some lights in our hallway as well. I had a couple of ceiling fans that I wanted to replace and was counting on my usual handyman to do so. When he came out he pointed out that the original installations were somewhat Micky Mouse in terms of the electrical and he suggested I have an electrician make things right. So after browsing Yelp I found Yuri. I called and he quickly got back to me. I explained that I needed two J-boxes installed in the attic and he provided a quote on the phone that seemed fair. He was able to arrange coming a day or so later and he and his helper got the electrical property sorted and asked if we also wanted the new fans installed. Price on that was very fair also. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BAD JOB! I had a bathroom ceiling fan replaced, to start the electrician did not have a measuring tape, he asked if I had one, luckily I did so I let him use my measuring tape, he needed a pipe reducer, I personally went to Home Depot to get it so he would not waste time traveling, when the job was finish he left a big gap between the ceiling and the cover, I can see through to the top of the roof, I told him that is not how a professional job is supposed to look like when finished, he responded, that the owner is responsible to patch up after they are done and he will not fix the ceiling, if I knew that he was going to cut a hole WAY LARGER than he should've and I'm supposed to hire a ceiling plaster person after he is done, I would never have allowed him to do the job. He quoted me $200, when the job was done he said it is $250 I told him you said $200 over the phone, oh around $200 he replied, then he was nice enough to give me a $20 discount, OF COURSE that was before me inspecting the finished job and seeing the bad job he actually did. What a nightmare, because all we had to do after this install was paint our bathroom wall and we were done upgrading our bathroom! I do not recommend this electrician, think twice before you allow him to come inside your house, he did not provide a written quote or an invoice. This is a well learned lesson, get a written estimate, invoice and insurance coverage. read more

I've worked with Yuri twice already. Both times he was able to diagnose and fix our electrical issues quickly and efficiently. Our first issue was that one of our switch boxes in our breaker panel kept switching off. He had said it was overloading and that we would need a new breaker switch to resolve the issue. Instead of charging me the extra money to replace, he made a suggestion to move one of the wires to an unused breaker switch and that would solve the problem without having to spend extra money which I happily took his advice! Second time he came out, we tried to do a DIY job with a garbage disposer unit for our sink. Obviously we aren't electricians so when the power was not working when we connected the unit we called Yuri. He figured out the issue in less than 2 minutes and that a previous electrician had not connected the wires correctly behind the wall switch. The job was to take care of quite a few random things to get our house in Reseda up to par to pass inspection and finalize permits for work that was done well before we even bought the place. A breaker box in the garage was the wrong kind, none of our outlets were GFI protected, the main panel to the house had exposed wires etc. Yuri came in and told me what I needed to do and, most importantly, how we can satisfy the inspectors without spending too much money. A good cost-of-service is always something people look for, and the price was great for the work he did; however, that wasn't the most meaningful part of hiring Belco. BOTH times I had him out here, I ended up double-booking myself (I work freelance) and basically let him in, paid him his money and left the house for the day. He cleaned up after himself and locked the door behind him on his way out both times... how many electricians can you trust like that? Lastly, it was nice that he bothered to educate me a little bit on proper wiring. I used to be pretty savvy with this stuff, and it all started coming back when he decided to take the time to show me some interesting details about the way my house was done.
