This is a cute coffee shop surrounded by other fun eateries. It's a nice place to do some reading, studying, journaling or just enjoy a nice cup of whatever you enjoy. The decor here is very cozy and welcoming. The service here is good, and the workers here are super friendly. We decided to try this place out because it was nearby and they have a good selection of drinks. I was really drawn to their Golden Milk which is a nice blend of coconut milk, turmeric (for the golden color), glove, cinnamon and pepper. I may be missing an ingredient or two, but it was good and comforting! It was a good blend of spices and the sweetness from the coconut milk balanced out the drink just right. I enjoyed it a lot, and I love having a nice hot golden milk and sitting out in the back outdoor seating while just enjoying the weather whatever it may be, LOL. They have pastries here too, and the most fluffy and giant cinnamon rolls. I couldn't help myself and got one of those. It was nice and fluffy as it looks, and they even heat it up for you. Quite hip and cool coffee spot in Boulder. First, there is free and easy parking right in front with a lot of spots; this matters! Lots of coffee and non coffee choices on their menu. Interior is very hip and millennial; definitely the vibe that most spots try to emulate. This is a great place to meet friends while having a fantastic cup of coffee (or Chai) and a delicious treat. It's also a lovely little gift shop. The staff is always super friendly and takes care to make sure they get your order right. I've been twice this week. I ordered the spicy chai for the first time today, and it was such a warming, delicious treat on a brisk morning. I shared the lemon ricotta cake with my friend and it would have been easy to eat the whole thing myself. It was moist, flavorful and the texture was perfect. Beleza Coffee Bar is a wonderful coffee shop in Boulder. I came here on a whim after watching the sunrise at Chautauqua and the coffee perked me right up after an early morning. It was pretty quiet when I arrived, but it started picking up when I left. Like your standard coffee shop, you order at the counter and then they'll call your name when your drink is ready. They're anchor roaster of choice is Sweet Bloom, which produces great coffee here in Denver. However, they source from other roasters around the country for rotating options. One thing I found unique compared to most places is their selection of local goods. It's almost a store of Colorado made foods, candles, succulents, baskets and various products. I feel like you could spend a small fortune here. There's a few cozy couches in the front of the shop by the window. This was a great place to sit and sip on my Americano. I was alone, but this would be a cozy spot to chat with your friends or family. Personally not a fan of the no wifi. They say they allow you to jump on a hot spot if needed. But in 2023 it gets an eye roll from me. If the space were teeny tiny, I'd understand. But they have ample space in the back with plenty of small tables that'd be perfect to separate the degenerate wifi people. I am certainly one of them However, it's their business and it's their choice! Wouldn't let that deter me from coming back. I'll just bring a good book next time. Open 7am-4pm every day. I visited Beleza over a month ago and the experience has stuck with me so much I am writing this review. As I was passing through Boulder, I was excited to hit up this spot I had loved the year prior on a trip. I read the reviews when I was looking up the name/location this time and thought it weird they had negative feedback. To make it brief, the counter person was extremely rude. I placed my order for which the total seemed high, I think it was 6.25 for a latte with whole milk. The woman was rude in demeanor. As someone who has worked in cafes, putting on a good face for service is key, even if you have to fake it a bit. While I was waiting for my drink, I overheard people ordering correcting the checkout person on milk choice. I got my drink, tasted horrible, went back to ask if I had gotten oat and she said yes. I ordered whole milk and had even reittered that. I asked them to remake it. She obliged and as I walked away mocked me in lower tone and laughed. I was so stunned I didn't even know what to say. I was in no state to make a scene, I hadn't even had my coffee yet. I got the drink but then thought about the upcharge and how I wished she had offer to refund her error of the upcharge on oat or refund the whole thing. Again, that's something we would definitely do at my home shop. OUr job as baristas is always to make it right and meet the person in the middle. All and all, I will not be returning or suggesting this place. Please make sure staff are trained in the vibe and experience you wish your customers to have. As someone who travels and gets excited to have coffee out at a special place, it was a bummer to waste it on this experience. I had a friend in town in Boulder and we were going to quickly meet up so I suggested Beleza based off reviews. It was actually a great selection. Coffee was delicious. $3 for a mug and a free refill. Vibe is relaxed and so a great place for a conversation even if the coffee shop is bustling. They have signs up telling you they have no WiFi. They don't want to be a place where you just hang out all day working on your computer. They are encouraging of a brief visit, an enjoyable cup of coffee, a great conversation. I can vibe with that philosophy. Staff was very nice. We bonded over our incompetent football teams because I was wearing my dumb Cleveland Browns hat. I am new in town and have tried to come in and order an espresso on back to back weeks - I am extremely busy and have needed to throw out the coffee both times after waiting over 15 min each time to get the coffee. The second time - after being promised a 5 minute wait - the barista finally bothered to make my coffee after 15 min and then made a rude comment to me about my friend having already left. I told him that I had been waiting over 15 min and that if they want to offer an espresso bar service, they need to be able to churn out an espresso in under 10 min. He was extremely dismissive and insulting and told me I should leave more time, and that if I don't have time to stand in line, it is a "me problem" - which I can't, because it is a Monday and I am working. I would love to have endless free time, but I don't. I left and decided to come back in to get my money back - at which point I was verbally assaulted by both the staff and the customers for asking for my money back and complaining about the over 15 min wait. They all started yelling fuck you at me and telling me to never come back when I expressed legitimate frustation that I consistently can't get a cup of espresso near my house in under 20 min - leaving me no time to drink or take advantage of my break. A fellow customer then sprayed my friend in the face with perfume and the staff sided with her.Rather than asking the customer to back down, the staff sided with her. She claimed that since "it was all natural, you can't be allergic to it." PSA: that's not true and it's a serious insurance liability. My friend and I asked for decent and reasonable customer service and a civil interaction with the staff. In exchange, we were met with extreme aggression. I am shocked by the way the staff treated us and the way they riled up the customers to the point of assault. The male barista was also making rude and inappropriate comments to a number of young female customers and was not focused on working quickly and efficiently. This place is one of the most pathetic places I have ever seen, and I have lived across the world in multiple different cities and frequent a lot of 3rd wave coffee shops. Staff that is insulting and dismissive and tells you to devote more time to standing in line, customers who insult other customers over an issue that does not concern them, and a customer who assaults another customer without any intervention from the staff - this place should be shut down immediately. Place was definitely loud and doesn't damper the noise well but I guess that's what noise cancelling headphones are for. I like the overall vibe and drinks were good. This new coffee shop in north Boulder has lots of buzz, in more ways than one. I've been in a couple of times and thought it was pretty ok. I have my own fave shop in a different part of town but I get out this way occasionally because of some other shops in the area. It's been busy both times but it seems there's always room to squeeze another one in as the space is fairly flexible. The main thing for me is that the decaf espresso is decent, maybe not quite as dark a roast as I would prefer but a clear nice flavor quite different from the decaf beans at many other local independents that tend to have a sour aftertaste to me. My regular every day drink elsewhere is smooth and roasty without that sourness. So glad to find an independent that can do it. I do wish they had a different and more unique source on their pastries. I know their source of local grocery bakery in north Boulder is popular with some but not me. I can think of a few places elsewhere in the county that would be more unique this far west though probably more expensive. The staff is friendly at Beleza and the decor is warm and trendy. This place is wonderful! I love this new coffee shop! The location is very central and only a few blocks from pearl. It is a part of a strip center off of broadway which makes parking easy and plentiful inside a shared parking lot. The interior is clean and has a chic cabin woods feel with wooden tables and white dining ware. Not to mention, the food is delicious! I ordered the salmon toast which was magnificent! It was more than I would've usually paid for toast, but in all honestly, some of the best toast I've ever had! I will definitely get it again for a "treat yourself" kind if morning. Other items on the menu included avocado toast, granola bowl, some sort of quinoa/oatmeal dish, along with a few others. The breakfast menu is unique and I am excited to taste more of it in the future! The kitchen is open until 2pm but there are pastries available all day. It was fairly busy on a weekday between 10am and 12pm. The volume was moderate which was the perfect white noise for me in the background for working on my computer (and yes there is free wifi). I love that this coffee shop opens at 6am for my early mornings which is hard to find in Boulder outside of Starbucks. I'm sitting in my home near Atlanta, GA looking for Gesha (Geisha) coffee beans. I'm taken back to my visit, years ago, to Beleza coffee while on a road trip with my kids. The experience I had that morning, and again on my way heading home, continues to stand out as the best cup of coffee I've ever had. It was a simple pour over with spectacular beans. But it was also the passion, care and love with which it was executed. Yes, the coffee was top shelf and couldn't have been better. But the attention and authentic joy the barista (though I think he is the owner) is what left a permanent and lovely memory that hasn't faded, years later, and 1000s of mile away.
