5 Stars across the board- coffee, pastries, atmosphere, service. The coffee here is fantastic. Full stop. I got a cortado so I could really enjoy the espresso, and enjoy I did! The pastries are the kind you'd hope for in a dedicated bakery. Every one of them was exceptional and I could pick a favorite among the three I tried. HIGHLY recommend the: - potato rosemary danish, - kouign amman (pronounced queen aman), - and apple fritter (these tend to sell out early!) I may be back later today or tomorrow to get more of these. They're THAT good. The staff was lovely and that's worth mentioning for a coffee shop that's so good you would accept a bit of snoot. Super kind and open to offering suggestions. And atmosphere is 10/10. Grab a seat, your laptop, and some f&b and enjoy. We got a seat in a little side room with a skylight and big plant (still open to the main room) and hung out for a while. Overall, the kind of coffee shop that makes me wish I lived here to do some work here, enjoy their brews, and order their Thanksgiving pies for my fam!

Such a cute coffee shop. I can tell this is a spot that's always busy. Line moves quickly though. Really good selection of pastries. Coffee was solid. I like their lighter roast. Coffee cake with dates and cinnamon was so delicious and moist would definitely recommend getting a peice if they have it. Nice vibes in here and seating inside and outside. Coffee and pastry was a little over 10$. I think they have a few other locations as well. Would recommend.

Boxcar coffee roasters roasts coffee in-house and also makes all pastries in house. I ordered a seasonal pumpkin spice latte and a Kouign-amann pastry, which is like a flaky, buttery pastry coated with caramelized sugar. The pastry was super delicious and I could've eaten 10 of them! I wasn't as into my pumpkin spice latte - the flavor just wasn't for me. I do think that the quality of the espresso was good and I would be open to trying other coffee drinks next time. The interior is nice and there's a lot of seating, but be warned that the tables are very close together. I think a lot of college students frequent this location to hang and work on laptops. Overall, a solid choice if you're in the area.

Great coffee shop whether you're looking to park it and work for a couple hours or stop in and grab a treat and a drink. We did the latter and it was a great stop while we were in Boulder. I got a cortado and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was delicious and had plenty of chocolate. My one complaint is I felt like it took a while for my drink to be made but once i had it, it was a delicious cortado. Great coffee shop!

Lines out the door and paid parking, if you can even find any spots. What's the big fuss about? Boxcar Coffee, of course! This place is good, very good, and the locals know it. Gluten free and dairy free baked items. Friendly staff, skilled baristas. Cramped seating. This coffee shop is worth it all.

My drink was really good. The coffee was strong and fresh. My colleague purchased the tea, which is brewed to order. They were a bit busy in the morning but that is expected. However, they did move pretty quickly. The staff wasn't the friendliest, but I would return for the coffee when in town.

We were looking for a good coffee shop in Boulder where we were staying. This place has a roaster in the name so figured you can't go wrong. More than a coffee shop, there's food and wine you can order as well. The inside is pretty roomy and there are people with their work laptops here. There are seasonal coffee drinks you can order from and we went with the Black Velvet. It was creamy and you can definitely taste the coffee. There was a hint of sour in the coffee, which most people would like. This place is pretty busy on a Monday around noon.

We sat outside with our corgis and had a lovely breakfast. The food was delicious - the toast was amazing, and my breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've had. You can tell they put real care into their breakfast dishes. The coffee was great too, and the outdoor area had a nice calm, easygoing vibe.

Holy smokes. There was a line. The line is worth it. The baked goods are top notch. So is the coffee. Plenty of seating. Just a great great spot overall

Super cute coffee shop in my favorite mountain town - Boulder!!! Seasonal lattes keep changing- I treated myself to the cardamom rose latte before heading up to the Rocky Mountains.

Not sure why this coffee shop has such high reviews. I guess their interior decor is not bad and they have a decent amount of seating. But their drinks and baked goods (at least what I got) were incredibly underwhelming. - Iced matcha latte (1/5): barely any matcha flavor, just tasted like milk. I couldn't finish my drink - Iced oat milk latte (3/5): not bad but not great - Pain de Chocolate (2/5): not flaky at all and the inside was chewy. I saw they had a toaster oven so I asked them to heat it up but they wouldn't. - Brownie (4/5): this was not bad imo because it was not too sweet

Service is non-existent. Lack of service seems to exist to promote long waits and exclusivity. Unacceptable.

A standout detail is that all their flavorings and syrups are made in-house, which really elevates the drinks. You can even buy small bottles of their syrups in-store. Service Service is quick and friendly. The baristas are especially helpful in explaining pastries and flavor profiles, which makes it easier to try something new. Ambience The cafe has a vintage cottage, cozy vibe with plenty of nooks and crannies -- perfect for both conversation or getting some work done. Overall A warm, inviting space with great pastries and thoughtfully crafted drinks -- definitely a spot I keep coming back to, even from South Denver.

We ordered a reuben sandwich and that came with a free muffin and an egg-avacado stack - which comes on an open-face toasted bread of your choice, with spread, egg over easy and avacado. I was early for a pickup nearby and was so hoping the famous cinnamon roll would still be here…read more It's been sold a few times since Scott and Sally retired. The newer owners had simply not kept it "original" and faultless as it had been since the Creevy's opened in 1983. And yes, I was there then. When I walked in, it felt and smelled like the past. The cinnamon rolls were on a display table right out front and cleanly wrapped. They looked just like they used to. I picked a standard cinnamon as the walnut raisin is a lot more expensive than it used to be ( aside is everything in the world) but often more unpredictable in baked goodness since the store was sold the first time. As soon as I got home, I shared some with my husband though he had not been the cinnamon roll addict, I had been. Unvleievably, it was like stepping back in time. Scott and Sally would be proud of this iteration. It may have actually been their own recipe from those early years where individual stores made the basic breads and then branched out for their local market and personal skills. I'm sure so many of these specialty items which I never saw in the few Great Harvests in other states, I ever tried. It's a 5 star item in a place where I will give the shop a 4 for now until I try some other things. The wonderful brownies are on display here too, as well as so many of the cookies and breads I will sample in the future. I will ask next time if they still make the incredible lemon bars which was also a Creevy recipe I believe. It's definitely worth adding back to my shopping options. I see so many of the negative reviews are just for the sandwich service, not the bakery. I am unlikely to use that for so many other options I encounter across Boulder these days are all so reliably good, I cannot abandon them.
