I wish this would have been double checked prior to being used on me because even if it's probably fine only happening once and (hopefully) it wasn't in a high dosage.. but was unable to confirm this - it still caused me immense anxiety that I really wish was avoided. I washed it off and emailed my doctor. But I still feel awful and wish more precaution was taken. This was my first facial since becoming pregnant (almost 27 weeks now) and I was really looking forward to it and thought I'd be safe here. Unfortunately I didn't feel safe and I wish I never came now. They don't have pregnancy pillows to accommodate pregnant individuals either. The cheap affordable salons have really damaged my nails without providing any recommendations in how to maintain my nail health after gel manicures. Because of how thin and scratched up they are from the harsh filing/buffing/chemicals used at the cheaper salons, Lori brought back hydration to my nails and used a different technique to gentle file/buff my nails back to perfection. We avoided the gels/extensions and used special polish and treatments to help revive the nails to grow back healthier and stronger. She also recommended supplements to expedite the progress, so I'm thrilled to see the results in a few weeks. The spa is great, on the top floor in a quiet corner with tall windows. The decors and sound of water was so relaxing. Check-in staff was very friendly and offered tea/water. They're running a promotion right now: buy 3 manicures, get 1 free (def worth it IMO), so am looking forward to my next visit/check-up to get my nail health back to 100%.
