I love Belk. Their product lines are the whose-who of quality stylish items. From A-Z in clothes with Big and Tall, to a Home section that will knock your socks off. I literally wear Ralph Lauren shirts I bought ten years ago at Belk. My wife, a petite lady can shop in the same store where I buy tall clothing. Folks, Belk is everything that's great about America. The service is HORRIBLE & they pick & choose who they help. If it wasn't for the venders they probably wouldn't make much of any sales. They lie & promise things they don't have and never do presale! But it and take it home the same day because all the items they place with your order will not be inside the bag! I did a presale order paid for it and the next day I went back everything wasn't inside the bag! Not even half the things promise and place with order was there when I came to retrieve my purchase. I spoke with some tall guy claimed to be the manager but it didn't seem the big a big issue that I had purchased item & the free items were taken back. I had just reactivated my credit card so to them not attempting to help me prior after waiting over 40 minutes for service & being promised items they never had in order to sale who I did buy. I Will NEVER BUY ANOTHER DIME @ THIS STORE AGAIN! I told the manager if I came into store & took items they would take me to jail & press charges. But he felt like it wasn't a big issue with me coming back to pickup my items & things had been removed what was given to me. Then I go back a few days later with a friend & they were so rude and not helpful at all. Fast forward to yesterday came into pay bill and lookup item on account waited AGAIN AMOST an hour for service to pay bill. Other customers came in after I did & I wasn't helpful until the vendor addressed them about it. Then while waiting I wasn't helpful until helping another customer (black male) pick out gift for wife and upon leave he told me the sales associate told him to "SHOUT UP" because she didn't know how to take 2 methods of payment for his purchase. Manager as tall guy said he would address the sales associate but walked away and never said a thing to her as if it was ok & no harm was done. Go to Dillards & Macy's for fragrance instead of BELKS It not worth the price & disrespectful rude& untrained staff at Haywood Mall in Greenville SC They directly from site instead save time energy if you value your time money and respect. They didn't deserve a 1/2 star on either occasions. read more

I live on the west coast. While vacationing in North Carolina I would shop at Belk. I started buying products online from their website. Recently I purchased 5 tops. Two were out of stock and 3 were shipped. Really poor quality. I tried to call the number for Belk Marketplace which is where I needed to do the return to. No answer. I called again left a message, no response. I sent a email and someone responded told me where to return the merchandise to (which was VERY light weight and it cost me 18 dollars to ship it back) return it. I sent it back 3 weeks ago to the address I was told to return it to, and still no refund. They received it 2 weeks ago. I would not recommend buying from BELK online. I will never do it again. GHOSTED! Dear Belk, We are done! I do not want to be your friend because I find you to be fake and dishonest. I am tired of your fake sales and fake promotions designed to make customers think that they are getting a bargain when they are not. When I wandered into you store today and saw the 50% coat sale, I was intrigued. However when I realized the dollar store quality and the exaggerated price tag I knew that there was a problem. Savvy customers know the value of garments and will not continue to patronize your store as long as you use deceptive practices. If you want to sell your garments at elevated prices, that's fine just be honest about it. That 50% off price tag still did not accurately reflect the price of that coat because there was no way that coat was worth $250 originally, maybe $60 at best. So if I am gullible enough to pay the $125 "sale" price, I am the one who loses, because you still get double what the garment is worth. No way! Since my shopping objective is always to win with the best possible bargain, I will continue to spend my precious dollars elsewhere and you my ex-friend, have been ghosted! Deuces!! read more

This was my first trip to the Belk store in Haywood Mall. I was blown away at the selection, but I just cannot believe the state of the store. The floor is worn and broken, the whole place just looks shabby. Really doesn't make you feel like shopping for high ticket items at all. Great location, great parking, but seriously needs an upgrade to match the recent upgrades in the mall. Belk looks very bad by comparison. read more

Belk is a hit or miss department store and today was a good sale day. Some of the racks were mixed up. But that's what you get when everyone is misplacing sizes during a sale. The signage is good and the sales person who waited on me was excellent. I was able to pick up 4 summer dresses for $20 so I'm happy. I recommend Belk and will return. read more

This store has gone downhill BAD! You have to chase someone to even buy something! NO ONE works here at all! It would be so easy to steal things here. Levi in Men's suits was abrasive and rude. He kept asking everyone was mad at him. He also told everyone aloud that he worked on commission. Made us dig eleven cents out because he didn't have it in the drawer. Waited at checkout for at least ten minutes. Will never return. read more

Belk is known for quality. They have great customer service and the store is very well kept . This particular visit was for comforters and sheets and pillows. They had a unbelievable sale and we found everything we needed . I definitely shop when there are sales as I rarely pay full price for anything. read more

Went to Belk today at Haywood Mall. The sales were very good in jewrely sales . Got some really cute things. The sales lady was very friendly and so very helpful with coupons and sale discounts. I do think there are some departments that needs more sales clerks. In the ladies department there is never anyone to ask to help you but do like the sales. Yes, I will keep going back. This my second trip here this week. On Tuesday morning I couldn't find anything, the men's big and tall dept. was a total mess. This place really needs to invest some money in to cleaning the dressing rooms. There is blood on the wall, I assume from someone removing a security tag and that's sad in itself. But management not taking care of simple cleanliness not to mention possible health concerns from exposed blood. Come on Belk, you are better than this. read more

Worst customer service in Greenville. Made an attempt to purchase bedding products and could not even get assistance in taking several large items to check out. When I asked staff questions about location of certain products I was pointed in a general direction. I made several trips to the check out before I decided to go to Dillard's. Service there was outstanding and I made over $1000.00 in purchases. I will cut up my Belk card and return it today. Have been a customer for many years. Never Again ! read more

I went to Belk after work 12/13 and was shopping in handbags. I was looking at a Brahmin bag and asked the woman there how much it was--she picked it up and said, well, you can't have this one because I am going to put it in the back for myself. I get a discount and buy one of these about every other month. Really?? (it was already unchained) and she proceeded to disappear into the back area with it. She came back out and went straight back to the register, talking to a male employee who came up. She never asked me if I wanted a bag like it or if she could help me. I finally asked to see another one and she unhooked one for me and then left the department. Came back a few minutes later and asked me if I had decided. I said no and she began to talk to the young male employee again (who came over 4 times while I was in the dept). I would buy a Brahmin bag anywhere BUT Belk at this point. She was unbelievable and couldn't have cared less if I got good service there. I won't be going back to Belk. I have lived in Greenville most of my life and it used to be a great place to shop but it's looking more like a dressed up flea market now, and good luck finding ANYONE in lingerie who will assist you. read more

I had such outstanding service! Sadly, the item I had purchased online was no longer available and in stock, I emailed customer service and they emailed me a list of stores that carried my item. I called the store that was closest to my state (California) but they did not answer ANY line! I decided to start from the top of the list which was the store first. Immediately somebody picked up, Dawn- an amazing such helpful woman that went through hoops to help me through out the day. Her wonderful manager fulfilled my needs and granted me the item (Michael Khors watch) for the price I had originally gotten online- which is fair since I had boughten the item when there was three left in stock...then three days later I received an email that notified me my order was canceled due to their inventory error they seem to always have..(online and warehouse inventory are never in cahoots). Since I live in California my bank had declined the few attempts of them trying to charge my card because they thought I was being falsely charged. I had to call my bank and then call belk back and forth and Dawn was just so damn nice!!! Never once got frustrated, never once failed to call me back... She is just so outstanding!! I thank her and her manager for making my life much easier this holiday season!!! read more

Online shopping has become the norm. I definitely shop online but I love going to Belk at the Haywood Mall. I love the tangibles when shopping for my clothes and shoes and I also like to have professional help when shopping for suits and my business professional clothes. Belk has some great people that really help you with style, quality and with savings. They are not trying to dig in your pocket and sell you the most expensive thing. They show me how to get the best bang for my buck with suits, sport coats and dress shirts. Namely a gentleman named Doug in men's suits is the nicest, kindest and most knowledgeable retail managers there are. If you want help with thread count, secrets to tailoring your own suit coats without a needle and thread. Ask for Doug! You will thank me after spending 5 minutes with this man.
