We had a great experience with Bell Air Moving Company. Their prices were very competitive and affordable especially as they offered a discount price day. It didn't matter what day we moved so we chose a Tuesday which was discounted. The team of three movers were excellent. Very efficient and willing to go the extra mile. We had a difficult time fitting a sectional couch in our basement and they tried every angle possible and even worked with us to remove the door frame in order to fit it, I was very impressed! This is a great moving company. The movers showed up to the job on time and they got right to work. While moving my belongings they were as careful as possible and asked where things go before they went into the house with a box. They kept a great pace throughout the move. The set up process also went well. One guy was on set up and the other guys were moving. The guys were all friendly. For the price I was a bit skeptical, I thought it would literally be two guys and a truck. But the two guys I got were true professionals. Everything was padded, wrapped, treated with care. It was remarkably fast. They were lifting 10 years worth of heavy furniture and taking it down three flights in a tiny Boston apartment building on a hot humid June day. They took everything into my new place with equal care. THIS is a solid company. Totally beyond my expectations and worth far more than $325 they charged me (barely over the estimate). We moved today, and the team at Bell Air Moving could not have been more of a gift to us. They arrived early (window was between 8-10 and they were ready to go before 8, texting to let me know before their arrival). They made quick work of packing up our home while also taking such good care of every item in the house. I was impressed by their communication; they asked me to do a walk-through of the "old" house and "new" house and placed everything exactly where we wanted it, double checking that we were happy with how things landed before they left. They were A+ professional and wore masks the entire time they moved. It was below 20 degrees today which was a surprise for March, and they didn't complain- just worked, worked, worked. Pricing was very clear before the move (great written communication from the company, which is one of the reasons I chose them) and there were no surprises after the move; every fee was clearly itemized and the fee structure was extremely reasonable (if not low!) for the job they did. Man, These guys saved me!! I was the victim of a major moving mistake and my appliances were not "scheduled" to be delivered. I spoke to Nick and within 2 hours I had an appointment to pick up my stove and refrigerator. They showed up on time (when they said they would) and were supper professional. They wrapped up my items carefully and within the hour minutes had them at my home. Then when they unloaded them it was amazing as they needed to take the door off and they did! I had just had the floors done and they were very mindful and did not cause any scratches. I'm not finished moving yet but I will definitely be calling them back. We discussed, room-by-room, what furniture was needing to be moved and the amount of boxes we would be taking with us. We talked about all the potential obstacles (the number of flights of stairs, ramp access, etc.) and he gave me a quote. His quote was very competitive and so a few days later we contacted Nick to arrange the move. His crew called before he got there to let us know he was on the way and showed up right on time. The 5 star reviews are deserved. We used Bell Air over the summer for a large, complex house move (including a piano), that involved multiple trucks. We had tight schedules for pickup, storage and delivery. Throughout the process, Nick and his team were responsive and attentive to everything. A week or two after delivery, we realized a couple small items were missing - Nick located them on the lot and delivered them promptly. I moved about a month ago and hired Bell Air Moving to help us out. We had a complicated move (needed to pick furniture up from two apartments in totally different areas, and move into a third). Bell Air's price quote was reasonable, and the total cost ended up within the estimate. They arrived on time and were efficient, friendly, and careful with our stuff. I've heard of companies charging extra for tape used, but this is not the case for Bell Air. The only potential issue is that this is a Russian moving company. The manager (owner?) speaks English well, but the movers are usually Russian students in the US and their English is limited. However, the manager comes as well (you don't get charged for his presence) so communication shouldn't be an issue. It's just something to be aware of. read more

I booked with them a month in advance and Nick didn't force a deposit, he just trusted me! How nice when I had already called 3 other places that were more business driven and required a minimum of 200.00 to book which I was willing to pay but they didn't have any dates I could work with so alas, I tried Bell Air. Overall Nick, the owner, is a no nonsense easy-going efficient guy who has staff that stays on task and doesn't waste one minute of time getting the job completed to minimize the bill. At 145 per hour for 3 guys that you can trust. None of my personal items were tampered with, it's a great deal! Now, for the negatives. Which aren't much much but just be mindful... Nick is the professional but he manages placing the items in the truck, he carefully and neatly loads everything in the truck. His staff are the strength. They run around the rooms and grab boxes and tape up stuff and bring it to the truck.They are not necessarily the savviest when it comes to properly protecting valuables. Some of our items after inspection had some damage, light to significant scratching that could have been avoided with more blankets like our newer washer and dryer, my husbands oversized CPU tower, our ac, and a few other things. My recommendation is to pre-protect any item/furniture that is important to you or to monitor how they wrap the items. All of the staff at Bel Air were pleasant and friendly. They work really hard,all of them. Because we are anal about our belongings getting damaged, I am not sure if I would use them again. read more

Bell Air Moving Company did a wonderful job moving my small two bedroom apartment. The movers showed up within the time quoted and with three guys, even though I requested 2. The cost went up but I'm sure the move happened much faster having the third guy. Everyone was kind, courteous and careful with my stuff. I would have given them 5 stars, but when they put my storage bed back together the drawers do not properly close flush to the bed frame.
