    Dirty pad

Awful moving company. Buyer beware. This group damaged almost every item we own, lost a mattress and a piece to a bed, and stacked heavy boxes on top of other heavy boxes crushing everything inside. They used flimsy rolling ornament storage case as a base to stack 7 ft of vertical storage. They put expensive wooden arched top chairs on their heads damaging them. If it weren't my stuff, it would be comical. They used filthy mold ridden black dirt filled blankets on their trucks and also used to wrap our items for long term storage. They must not wash them bc these were folded and boxed after we pulled them off of our items for the next poor soul. Their storage facility is what nightmares are made of. Hot, humid and filthy. Huge Holes in walls, cracks in floors, black falling reside all over facility. My clean floors turned black when they brought my items in from their makeshift osb storage warehouse and opened the blankets inside, but the owner said it must be from my house. Lol. It's falling from the ceiling one employee said as he wiped it off his face to show us. On move day we had to spend our entire day to drive out there bc they brought pieces of items (Headboard but no bedrails, table but no chairs and no washer or dryer). They forgot these items and mixed up our two units, so we spent majority of our day climbing around the unit trying to locate missing items and were horrified upon seeing the facility in person that day for the first time. When we refused to pay and sign that items came in good condition at the end of move day #2 they inflated the invoice from our quote of 862 to 960 then to 1500! All within 12 hours! It was so bad that we were forced to spend 3k today moving our stuff outta there with new movers after paying bell brothers 7k to get it there in June. Despite being paid up until September 1 on storage, they refused to let me take my belongings until I paid the inflated amount of over 1k and even added an extra trip charge of 120 bc of their error that they passed onto us. We had to call police bc they locked the gate blocking our truck. The male owner not only made fun of me for getting emotional Bc our move was not a happy one (made extremely more difficult by bell brothers) as my spouse has brain cancer but.. the male owner wouldn't let me pass by him in the hall or leave until I called police and he stood with his arms crossed staring me down. When I told the female owner about our situation, She said "don't pull the cancer card with me". This is a faith based organization?? This facility and its owners are in my opinion unscrupulous. Worst mistake we ever made was hiring them and that's saying a lot. Ryan, the main contact there for moving, talks a big game. He makes promises and at one point told how nice the facility was - designers store their items there - dust and bug free. Total joke. Our eyes were burning and our new movers said theirs were burning too. We all couldn't wait to get out of there. We are having the material tested and have filed a claim with our insurance. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Tour their unit and you'll see first hand. Awful awful. If you're moving with them, this dirty facility is their loading dock and items come in and out onto trucks from here.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

**Caution to Future Customers**…read more I have previously used 2 Men and a Truck on three occasions, but my most recent experience was incredibly disappointing and far from the quality of service I once received. The team that handled my move appeared poorly trained and unprepared. I don't know of anywhere in the DFW metroplex that takes two hours to arrive, yet my move clock started at 8 AM, and they didn't show up to my condo until 9:58 AM. Upon their arrival, they disregarded the guidance provided by the building loadmaster, leading to numerous issues. My furniture was not wrapped properly or protected with blankets, which is standard practice for moving. They also failed to follow building rules by neglecting to line the floors with blankets or protect the walls while moving in and out of the condo and elevators, despite having signed documents acknowledging these standard operating procedures. Additionally, the movers carelessly transported items downstairs to the basement, leaning them against the walls without any padding. For instance, my television was placed directly against the wall, exposing it to potential damage. A move that should have taken no more than four hours ended up taking seven, and I was confronted with attempted upcharges, which I ultimately refused. After this distressing experience, I filed a claim but have faced nothing but frustration as their leadership has given me the runaround. I provided them with photos documenting the situation and have expressed that I have nothing further to add. Their management is aware that they packed my furniture for storage but has done nothing to address these issues. In my opinion, if a customer demonstrates that their equipment was not safely packed--and that a $4,000 TV and $6,000 worth of beds were treated carelessly--any responsible company would be eager to resolve the matter. Below, you'll find pictures illustrating the condition in which my condo was left and how my valuable furniture was treated. I strongly recommend seeking a different moving service. It is evident that this company has rapidly declined in quality.

They sent 4 young men this time, maybe because we have stairs. These gentlemen were an absolute delight and managed to shave some time (money) off because they were so quick! I cannot recommend Two Men enough. They are outstanding and always go above and beyond. Thank y'all
