This little gem is so cute and a diamond in the riff! We ordered biscuits and apple butter ( I believe that's how it's listed) which tasted more like fried donuts and apple sauce. I had the chicken pot pie which came out looking differently than I'm use to but taste better than I ever had! The light fluffy crust and filled creamy center is definitely something to write home about. We also had desert.. the moon ice cream I hear was amazing and gone before I could snag a bite and the banana cream pie was a 15/10 hands down. Our waitress was helpful and helped us select the best meal for us!

Whether you're visiting or a native to the area, you will never go wrong at the Bell Buckle Cafe. This is a staple within the community that is worth the wait to be seated and every dime you spend within. It's a small facility, but very lit on the inside with an old cabin style country vibe. They do take online reservations, so I highly suggest using that as an option. Came here for Mother's Day with a good 2 hour wait, but the food didn't disappoint. If you're looking for that down home country cooking, you're at the right place. You'll leave full and ready for a good ole nap. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. Majority of the staff has tried everything on the menu so they shouldn't lead you astray with what to try. My only complaint is the Mac and cheese. I personally would never order again due to the lack of flavor, how loose it was and tasted like artificial cheese was used. I wasn't a big fan. The fried okra and catfish is a must! Both gave a perfect amount of crunch in each bite. I probably should have ordered a plate Togo.

Country fried steak

Cute place. Amazing service. Had the country fried steak and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans and blueberry jelly. Stead was average, gravy was good. Potatoes were starchy and bland. Green beans were amazing. Best thing on menu. Corn bread was really Johnny cakes and they were dry and tasteless. Great service and very average food. Only place in town.

Fried catfish, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, carrot souffle with a cornbread cake.

Quaint but busy spot in the heart of Bell Buckle. I finally got a chance to travel here after hearing about this little town since moving to middle TN. This is one of the best country cookin' restaurants I've been to in middle TN so far. The sweet tea was perfect (if your a southerner, you know) And a very extensive menu with lunch specials. The most overwhelming choices came down to the sides. We got the lunch special meatloaf, fried okra, potato salad, creamy coleslaw, fried catfish, and the carrot souffle. The carrot souffle was amazing! Service was prompt and drinks refilled frequently. Just a good home town meal! Go here if your seeking out good ol' country cookin'!

We stopped by and it happened to be the day before their RC & Moonpie festival. There were tons of options of sides and all were delicious. Our favorite was the stuffed peppers plate and meatloaf. We did NOT want to miss out on dessert and were so glad to share the homemade oatmeal cake It was a condensed area of little shops we explored after our meal. Highly recommend while traveling from Nashville area to Chattanooga. Great service too!

This is a great meat & three style restaurant in Bell Buckle, TN. It's located about an hour south of Nashville and worth the trip. M The restaurant is in a small little historic strip downtown and is neighbored by multiple antique shops, boutiques and even a bakery and coffee shops. It's a great little half day excursion. However, Id recommend that you come early and get on the list. Despite being in a tiny town it can get to multi-hour long waits, particularly if you decided to come in like Mothers Day. Their carrot soufflé side is almost like a dessert. The baked beans, potato salad, Cole slaw were all tried by our group and everyone seemed to love them. It's hard to go wrong here and they have a great selection of non-meat & three options if that's your thing, including veggie only options and great burgers.

Good place for lunch! Their country fried steak was delicious. I love the fried green beans with cucumber wasabi the most. Overall, it is a good place for a meat and three like other southern restaurants. Service with Lila was excellent. The restaurant was clean and nice.

Fried okra was delicious as was the creamed corn! Service was friendly and the tea just like I like it - sweet with lemon. I will be back!

After my experience, I think the statements are a bit exaggerated, although I do give it high marks. The name Grindstone cowboy is a nice play on words. First, they are a coffeeshop with a bar and deli type items, so grindstone fits well with the title. Grindstone Cowboy is a nice play on Rhinestone Cowboy, the song by Glen Campbell in the 1970s. The western feel of the restaurant complements the name. There is also a vintage store attached to the restaurant/bar for those who happen to like a little shopping with their meal. I had the BLT and she had the chicken salad sandwich. I will say I am not a huge fan of chicken salad, but I could eat this one (would not be tops on my list, but I could do it). The BLT was very nice. I added avocado and don't regret that decision. I thought the bread and bacon choice was on point. A heirloom tomato would have popped this up another notch. Overall, enjoyed it. I do feel the pricing is a bit high for a small town diner. Perhaps it is as popular as the social media post suggested? I did pay in cash to avoid the 4% credit card fee. Would I return? I would not go out of my way to get back here, but if I was passing through, I would certainly consider another go if I was in the mood for a sandwich.

Aghhh I had such high hopes for this place and I was so disappointed…read more I love Celtic designs, history, and mythology so I was super excited to try this place out. I'd postponed it on my last visit to Tullahoma so I'd have something to look forward to on my NEXT inevitable visit, so safe to say anticipation had really built! I arrived around 2:45 and came into a moderately busy coffee house. The acoustics are such it's a little hard to hear if groups are visiting inside, so maybe not the best place to work or read quietly. That's fine, I was going to get my stuff to go anyway. The interior is very cute and thoughtfully decorated and even has a selection of Celtic themed gifts. Service was...surly. The barista spoke very softly and slowly in a very apathetic tone and did not seem interested in answering questions or sharing about the products. I got an iced bonfire mocha (I was very quickly and somewhat harshly corrected about the sizes available to order it in). The pastries looked absolutely amazing so I got a coconut cream scone and a hazelnut pastry to go. They did offer to warm the scone for me, which I accepted. My items took an average amount of time to come out to me. I headed out immediately since I wanted to get home and didn't feel that welcome anyway. So.... That bonfire mocha, yall. It's a spicy mocha, with a dusting of cayenne on top. Allegedly. I've had mochas like this before. They're often made spicy with cinnamon and/or cayenne. I've enjoyed the ones I've tried very much (the version of it at Gold Sprint in Huntsville is delicious!) so I was excited for this one. It had me completely convinced I'd somehow made the barista furious without knowing how. I am fairly heat-tolerant and like spicy stuff and it had me absolutely on FIRE. I thought maybe I'd accidentally gotten a sip of cayenne straight from the top, so I tried mixing it up and drinking from another spot with my straw. Nope. I tried multiple times, coughing up a storm the whole time. But the whole thing was crazy spicy. Inedibly (un-drinkably?) spicy. The cayenne went straight to the back of my throat and sat there scalding me for a long time. I was so sad. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is the coconut cream scone. It was supposed to be heated up...I can't say it was much more than a little above room temperature. But I munched on it in my car and thought it was pretty good. A little dry, as many scones tend to be, but the coconut glaze and cream was flavorful and silky. I enjoyed it. I planned on sharing the hazelnut pastry with my husband later. However, I examined it when I got home (mind you, I hadn't opened it since after leaving the restaurant) only to find...a short, slightly curly black hair attached (baked in?) to it. Facepalm. Straight to the trash it went, regrettably. No idea if it was good or not. It looked good, except for the hair. An incredibly disappointing visit. I'm really sad to write this review. Hopefully I just came on a really off day.

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.
