You will be full. The menu does change some days but the regular menu captures a lil of everything. The town is small with a number of antique shops, etc. with this extremely popular cafe. It was over an hour wait for a table on the Saturday on Labor Day weekend. Still we were able to use the time to explore the shops before finally being seated. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and courteous. The food was plentiful. Of course it's down home cooking and they do a good job I have to say. Apparently this is the place to go when in Bell Buckle. We weren't disappointed. read more

Well the food was good and reasonably priced. The blueberry jello thing was fun and so was the fried okra. The pot pie was OK but the oatmeal cake will be something we dream of the rest of our lives! It unassuming (see picture) and honestly we weren't impressed when we looked at it. But the taste, oh sheesh it was perfect. Buttery and sweet. Get it a la mode too. Once food arrived it was decent but service SUCKED! We almost left due to people who came in 30 min after us were getting their food. We were a party of 2 who both ordered grilled chicken. I had chicken, fries, and cucumbers and my fiancé had chicken, stuffing, greens, and green beans and it took 45 minutes!!! We approached our waitress and we were told it was due to we ordered chicken. Ive grilled chicken many times and it does not take that long. No apology from the waitress and she was rude. Another waitress looked at the time stamp to see what the hold up was and apologized for our rude waitress. The chicken breast they brought out was good but tiny portion. Neither of our plates of food were hot either. Once I paid I advised the woman of what happened and thought she would apply a discount but nope just told the total of $35. This is with out a doubt my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world. We usually go out here at least once every 3 months. That's pretty good saying that it's over an hour away from our house. I absolutely love the smoked pork chops. I have brought so many people to this restaurant over the years. It is a great day trip from Nashville. There are a lot of antique shops next door.if you have never been here you are missing out and you need to go very soon. After our tour at the Jack Daniels distillery, we had dinner at Bell Buckle Cafe. This place is a home style country cooking cafe with a small store & has live bands. Population of this tiny town is a little over 500. You get your neighborhood friendly, home style cooking coming here. I ordered the pot roast with mashed potatoes. The portions are good. My friend let me try his smoked pork chops. It was really good! Our waitress was a college girl and was so friendly. She was talking to us for a bit & did a magic trick on us. Very nice! They sell tees that reads " Where the heck is Bell Buckle?" I couldn't pass that up so I bought one for myself since I'm such tourist a may not be here again. We stumbled across this restaurant while looking for antiques. Evidently people come from all over the U.S. to eat here. The day we were here there was a two hour wait to get a table so we got our food to go.. I will say the fried chicken was some of the best that I ever had although the portion was a little small. Their roast beef is also very good as is their mashed potatoes and macaroni salad. My wife said their pork chops were also very good but wasn't impressed with their meatloaf. She says their Mac and cheese was ok but she didn't like their turnip greens but that was mainly because they were cold. She agreed with me that the fried chicken was awesome. The service here is very good. If you want good traditional southern cooking then this is a good place for you and I highly recommend you eat here. But is it worth a hour or more wait? Not for me but then I can get that at home. If that's not an option for you then maybe it is worth the wait. Then again you can order carry out and get your food in about 15 minutes. read more

BBC's food is excellent, and while their shop is small, and occasionally it might take a while to get you in and seated, once you're in there, you feel warm and comfortable, and ready to eat! Food has been very good lately. It's freshly prepared and served hot. Employees are very nice and the owners treat you like family. They even will speak and talk to you when you see them away from the restaurant. The surprisingly good thing on the menu is the hush puppies which would make a great appetizer. If you are going at a busy time (especially the weekends) I'd recommend calling ahead and getting on the wait list or I believe they also take reservations. If you require special access for the handicap, I would also recommend calling ahead to see what you need to do, there is a step getting in/out the front door. read more

Unfortunately I'm unable to comment on the food because we stood in the front room waiting to be seated as the sign directed for ten minutes and then some old lady comes out and starts putting names on a list with no order or direction.
