We eat at this location a lot. The food is great here. The service is great, especially the managers. Everyone seems to have a smile on their faces as we walk in. The ambiance is great. The food smells so good. The only thing I'd recommend is checking your order before you leave. It always seems like with my or my wife's order something is always missing but regardless the team always makes it right. Mistakes happen and they correct those mistakes every time.

Highly recommend First Watch if you're looking for a breakfast spot in the 'Boro! My family and I tried it for our first time today and we were all impressed. Make sure you arrive early because they get busy! We had a 30 minute wait for a party of 4 around 10am. Next time we'll make sure to come earlier and hopefully beat the crowd. We all had good things to say about the food though. Our party shared the bacon and cheese cornbread. SOOO delicious! Very light and airy with just the right amount of bacon and cheese. I got the classic eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy, my husband ordered the Chickichanga. Both of us liked our dishes! I will say that the hollandaise sauce on mine was a bit too lemony though. But I did really like the biscuit and gravy. The potatoes I got with my main dish were nice and crispy too. Our waitress may have been spread thin with how busy they were but she did take a bit to come around initially to take our order. They also completely missed the sauce for my husband's Chickichanga dish and our waitress was nowhere to be found for quite some time so we had to flag down a different waitress for assistance. Then when it came time to get the check we waited for a bit. But again, they were busy since it was a weekend morning so that was likely the cause. Hopefully next time it won't be as bad. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu items!

We tried the new First Watch here on the south side of Murfreesboro and it was an enjoyable experience. The food was wonderful, fresh, hot, and delicious. When we arrived there was a wait, estimated at twenty minutes. We were seated in about ten minutes. Under-promise and over-deliver is a practice I like. The water arrived almost immediately and our order was taken as soon as we were ready. Very comfortable dining room with nice soft lighting and appropriate decor.

Great portions and really excellent tasting menu throughout. Open early at 7am through 2:30pm daily. Amazing salads with lots of protein. Many vegetarian options available. The perfect place to grab a breakfast or brunch/lunch and always a friendly and accommodating atmosphere. If in a hurry, they support at-table checkout.

The last two times I've been there I've had the Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash and you can't go wrong with it. Best item on the menu in my opinion. The food comes out hot and the service is quick. Great place to get breakfast.

I definitely recommend first watch because they are consistently okay there's nothing great about it unfortunately It's just somewhere good to go Just good I'm not saying that the service isn't great The issue for me is the food is never consistently good and it's never been great but my friends love the place so I'm there frequently. Unfortunately for me I always want to get potatoes and the potatoes are never cooked through they are always starchy and hard in the middle, The other issue is they cannot for the life of them figure out how to make a soft scrambled egg It's always a clump of dry egg there's nothing moist about it. I will say however the place is always clean and the restrooms are always usable and I appreciate that. The ambiance is usually chaotic and I wish they would see people with children in one area like they used to see smokers in one area and non-smokers in one area because as a person and a group of people without children it's absolutely unnecessary for us to be seated so closely to children every single time I would suggest you move families to one space and non-families to another space hoping that there's equal space for both sides So everyone can enjoy their meals. People who choose to bring their children to brunch should be able to enjoy as much as those of us who do not bring children to brunch because we want mimosas.

I love First Watch and even more excited this one is open!!!! It's right around the corner from us and we couldn't be more elated!!! The food was delicious!! I got the Farmhouse Hash and the Million Dollar Bacon (my usual order) and this was probably the best it's ever tasted in all of the locations I've ever been to! I am not kidding! The flavor was rich and seasoned to perfection! I got full a lot quicker than usual! Our server Renee was the sweetest! I will be a frequent consumer here for sure!!

To give them a fair shake at a comparison to Chicago, I ordered two iconic Chicago staples, an Italian Beef and a Chicago Dog. First the beef, I ordered it with hot giardiniera and dipped. The beef was tender, flavorful and the peppers packed a pleasant heat. The bread was sturdy had a good flavor as well. Considering we are outside of Chicago, I'd go 4.5 stars. The Chicago dog looked and tasted legit complete with the neon green relish. For the dog I'd also go 4.5 stars. Seems like Murfreesboro might be sleeping on this great spot cause I was there at 6:30 on a Sunday evening and it wasn't packed. Highly recommend this spot when you are in the Boro to get your Chicago fix, it deserves our support!

Be prepared to read a magazine article length review of this establishment. Usually I do not review…read morechain or franchise restaurants, but this was so good, I made an exception. I was intrigued by a mail brochure, then their video. I like the place VERY much. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I reserve those for Italian restaurants with table cloths, vino, attentive waiters and opera playing in the back ground. It is based on FOUR visits because I liked it so much and did not want to give an incomplete review. First will be a detailed list of the dishes we tried and then I will get o ambiance and service at the very end. Here goes the food review first. Chicago Hot Dog. I'm not from Chicago and only know the signature food by reputation but my wife and I were impressed. The bun was very good with the poppy seed on the outside. Holding its own was a nice hot dog through the additional dressings. I ordered mine with the hot gardenia. It was delicious but instead of a vinegar base, it was a nice olive oil. French Fries Our family recognizes my wife as our resident expert on quality fries. She rated these as among the best she has ever eaten. I agreed with her that that they were crispy outside and fluffy inside. She added comments that they held up on the plate as she ate. Being crinkle cut, those fries tend to get soggy, but these retained their crispness through out. Chicago Beef Visiting their website you will see how they prepare their beef for meal. My wife indicated that it was fairly standard, but I drew me in. Admittedly, I have only tried a few of this type of sandwich. The things I liked about it was that it was juicy without soaking the roll and plate. It also had a nice flavor. Pasta On the wall in the store is a sign advertising that the pasta is fresh, never dried and that peaked my interest. Signature Rigatoni Marinara was the menu Item I chose and felt like it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever enjoyed. Thin, long pastas are classified by a number indicating their thickness. I could not find such a classification for rigatoni. While I may be a bit of an engineer, I studied the wall thickness of this pasta. Compared to what I buy in the grocery store, this had a thicker wall. It is important because the pasta was cooked al dente. The mouth feel of the thicker pasta and feel to the tooth was great. Do not feel I am discounting the sauce, but it was one of the best I think southern Italy would offer. Brownie On a whim, I grabbed a brownie because my wife did not want to stop at a candy store for me to get chocolate to go with my bourbon at home. It was light in texture, but incredibly full of quality chocolate flavor. It was great taste for taste, sip for sip. Beef and Gardenia Pizza Our fourth visit to justify my rating was with my wife, adult son and I. Surprisingly, she ordered the pizza choice because it was unique, Neither of us had gardenia on a pizza. Their Tavern Pizza is 10" and cut checkerboard style, not wedges, which was fine by us. The one pizza was enough for my wife and I. We both agreed that the Marinara sauce was the same as on the pasta. The pie was loaded with toppings. In fact, it was hard to get a true taste of the crust. It was also so loaded that she commented that it was a good thing we ate in the dining room instead of taking it home. If we took it home, she suggested, the copious toppings would totally soak the crust. Gardenia served here is in olive oil, not vinegar. As such, it gave a nice flavor to the pie. I thought my wife ordered extra cheese, but, no. That thick blanket is standard. The blend of toppings was just wonderful and the gardenia was just spicy enough. Margherita Pizza All pizza restaurants are judged by their Margherita pizza as far as my son goes. This pie was not traditional, so he simply gave it a "good" evaluation. He would rather get this pizza at other restaurants, but if he came back here, he would order it. Among his comments were that normally tomato slices were on the pizza, but this one had the diced tomatoes in this. Also, all the basil, while tasty was just piled up in the center instead of strewn all over the top. Now for service and ambiance. Of my trips, I was there a few times shortly after they opened for the day and once during a very busy time. Both times, the meal came out in a timely basis and the meals very fresh. On one trip, I ordered beer. The counter person was underage, and left to find a manager to complete the order. She was not clear in diction and we did not know why she left, but it was O Being new, it was very clean. Ambiance is very bright and well lit. Large windows give a good view of the area. Promotional signs and posters are informative and appropriate.

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

If you're someone who doesn't always want a burger at a burger restaurant, it's definitely worth trying. Another menu item that surprised me was the deviled eggs. I got the buttermilk bacon for my burger and it should only be served as a side or appetizer. The half slice of bacon is breaded so it is over an inch thick and there were 4 pieces on the patty. There is no way this could fit in a normal sized mouth if you add any lettuce or other condiments. I asked for Brie and got one 1" slice. Definitely not what I expected for a $3 up charge. The sweet potato fries were inedible due to the salt they were doused with. I will, however, recommend the house fried chips with onion dip and it was a shame to have to leave it since there was so much of it. It probably would be great in place of mayo on a burger. I also observed 5-6 people wandering in and out of the back that weren't wearing uniforms but seemed to know everyone as they stood around chatting. Why??? Not very professional for food service. One young man in particular kept running his hand thru his long hair as he stood near the staff area for drinks and the pass. Ugh! There was also another guy with hair down to his waist that was pulled back but man!, that ponytail was swinging loose everywhere from the kitchen to the bar. Again, ugh! Neither of those would I want near where my food was being prepared. The menu is a fun looking and eclectic mess but we won't be back. I prefer a food be under-salted as one can always add more if needed and the hair completely turned me off.
