We purchase our car from this dealership in February. They messed up the paperwork to the point of "a new title needs to be created and there is no registration". We have had temporary tags since purchase. We just had to replace a tire and when the mechanic went to take the lug nuts off he was unable to do so because they were tightened too much and they were the wrong lugnuts. That is just one tire and it cost $800. This dealership also cleared an engine code (check engine light) so the day after purchase a check engine light came on, it was 6 codes wrong. I've purchased multiple new vehicles from Bell Mitsubishi and have always been very happy with the sales and finance department from start to finish. Very professional buying experience I have however never experienced a problem with the vehicle that was traded in being paid off in a timely manner. My recent purchase and trade in was made in February 2026 and is now been over 90 days which caused my financial institution on the traded vehicle to issue insurance coverage adding now a fee to the payoff. The sales rep and finance manager have been made aware of this additional fee that they will now be responsible to pay in addition to the payoff​. I'm told the accounting department has been advised of the additional fee now added. Not sure why this has not been resolved as I was told the traded vehicle was SOLD a few days after it was traded in. The new owner I'm sure has not yet been able to get the Title and would be a great inconvenience to that person as well. I'm awaiting a status update as to when payment will be delivered with none to date. read more

If you love extra fees, this is your place!! I was looking at a car online that qas around 35k. Most places this would end up being around 39-40 after dealer fees, taxes, whatever. Not here! I qas shocked when the total came to almost 44k! Confused, I tracked down why. They add an extra $1,000 charge for "accessories" (might be optional) ON TOP OF a 2k "dealer package" and 1k "dealer fee". Just wow! Also, the 120 point inspection and $2000 dealer vehicle guarantee - shoved down the throat, was just nothing but an eyewash. A trip to another dealership for a vehicle check up showed the car in desperate need of new Front Brake rotors and Brake pads., an issue that they did not want to own and fix. Also, was coerced into financing the car at an exorbitant rate even with a perfect credit rating., apparently coz they get a kick back. After owning the vehicle for roughly 1 week we had decided to remove the vinyl wrap that had been added by management. What we found was shocking to say the least. The wrap was placed on the car to conceal tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage. The entire car was in need of a new paint job. After hiring legal consul the deal was canceled. Avenue / Bell Mitsubishi picked up the car everything was OK at that time. Until Avenue refuses to fund the payment made on the vehicle. This dealer was proven NOT TO BE TRUSTED. "We have been coming to this dealership for a very long time. This was our first time ever leasing a vehicle. The first thing I told them was that I needed my personal plates transferred from my old vehicle. They told me that the bank provides plates for the leased vehicle. However, I was assured that there shouldn't be a problem getting my personal plates on the new vehicle; I just needed to fill out a form. It's been almost a month now, and I still haven't been notified about my plates. I called them, and they told me the vehicle registration was in. Was waiting to post this review until we got our plates for the car. Did not want any retaliation from this dealer. On 3/2/24 my son and I went in to see a car that Bell Mitzubishi had listed. Isaias (salesman) had been in contact with my son during the week. Funny how when they are trying to sell you a car, the phone calls and communication are non stop....until you purchase and have an issue. We went in on Saturday morning to view the car, a car that has been with this dealer since day 1. Yes, it was used. Had only 12K miles on it. We test drove it, and made a deal. Be careful when signing a deal with this dealer!! There are $3K additional costs that they automatically add in, don't tell you anbout , and tax you on them !! These additional costs are not needed and should have been explained upon signing. We did catch these and had them removed. It was pouring rain that day, so any damage to exterior on a black car was impossible to notice. The next day, less than 24 hours later, after the car dried, we noticed scuffs and paint chips. Nothing major, but something that should have been pointed out or corrected before listing this car for sale. If we did see the damage, we would have asked for a better deal or for it to be corrected before purchasing. Isaias knew about the damage and failed to reveal it to us. This was not a car that was traded in, or one that just came to their lot. This car was there from new. They say that they guarantee ALL their cars for 30 days, or 5 day return. LIES. We emailed Isaias and several other managers at Bell Mitsubishi asking if these scuffs and chips could be repaired by the dealer. Thats when communication went in the other direction. Silence !! No response at all. We then called on Monday, and were told that EVERYONE was in a meeting !! We sent numerous emails and texts. Left voicemails for Isaias and others. No response until 3/6/24. At that point we were basically told, you bought a used car, you looked at it, and its not our problem. If we wanted it corrected we could bring it back to the dealer and they would fix it at OUR cost!! They were not very nice at all. Very rude !!! Terrible customer service !!!! My wife purchased a used Audi Q7 on November 15th 2023 from this dealership... This place has the classic "bait and switch" tactic on used vehicles where they will always try to add $6000 worth of dealer fees to all sales. I have never paid more than what a car was advertised as and this dealer is definitely in the game to try to get people in the door with low online prices that will never materialize. We told them that we would not pay the $6000 fees and we had a trade-in Audi A4 for the deal. They still ended up charging us an additional $2000 fees for the Q7 but they gave us $2000 more for our trade-in so we ended up getting our price any way. On the good side, the staff was friendly and the vehicles are of pretty high quality. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to people who have little car-buying experience. Please don't waste your time or money. Bell Mitsubishi does not care about or empathize with their customers. Bell Mitsubishi had my car for OVER 3 MONTHS... OVER 3 MONTHS, and 2 warranty claims later my car still sits broken down in my driveway. On May 22nd I had my car towed to Bell for service. It took them 3 weeks just to diagnose the car. When the service advisor told me the problem was the transmission, I insisted they looked further because I knew it wasn't. The service advisor insisted they did look further and the issue was the transmission, so they replaced it. On July 10th I get a call to pick my car up, very excited to finally get my car back. I get there, pay the deductible, and head to my car. Upon entering my car I see damage to my shift knob. When I showed the damage to the service manager, he immediately became combative and accused me of bringing the car in with the damage, then proceeded to insult me. After a couple minutes of going back and forth, he went to the back to look at the "photos" Bell takes of every car that comes in. Then after returning to ask me to show them the damage, they tell me they'll order a new knob for me. When I asked if I could see the photos with the damage he replied "We lost the photos". Did you lose the photos of did you realized I was telling the truth? After getting that squared away I got back into the car and drove off the lot. The car felt and sounded like crap. I couldn't believe they felt good with returning a car to a customer like that. I drove around the block and came right back. I asked the parts manager to ride in the car with me so he could hear the car. When I started the car he asked "is the the noise you brought the car in for" I replied "Yes". He immediately told me that it did not sound like a transmission issue. He asked me to pop the hood and called the service manager to come outside. After looking at the car for another 30-40 minutes they said the engine needed to be replaced. On Sep 5th I get a call stating my car is now ready again. I drove the car around the block with the technician that worked on my car. My car felt ok so I took the car home. During my ride home the check engine light came on and the exhaust got significantly louder. I was closer to home than I was to Bell so I decided to go home to tow the car there again the next day, but unfortunately I did not make it all the way home. And to make matters worse, I found more damage to my car. The bezel around my shift knob had been broken, and there is a dent on my driver side door. My experience with Bell Mitsubishi and their employees has been absolutely horrible. I even called the Mitsubishi corporate number and found out this is a private dealer, meaning I wouldn't get any support from Mitsubishi corporate. Went to Bell Mitsubishi with my buddy and his mom on 7/25/24 and they were assisted by a salesman named Isiah. Isiah started out helpful, cheerful and, welcoming but that quickly declined during the process of looking for a car. He became aggressive, rude, and uninterested in the transaction. After my buddy was notified that he was not qualified for what he wanted, we started to look for other options. Isiah sat at his desk with complete uninterest in help trying to find a plan B vehicle that my buddy would be qualified for. Instead of Isiah assisting in helping look online, walking the lot, and giving general advice, I decided to walk to the lot with my buddy as he was completely frustrated with the salesman. We figured we'd try getting a used vehicle, and Isiah, without giving it any thought or consideration from the Finance department immediately said it won't work. Even if that was the case, he literally put little to no effort in trying to help. Instead, he sat at his desk tossing his pen up in the air multiple times. Isiah then says, " If it's not at the price you want, then we don't have to do the deal". We ended up leaving because that was the last straw, and he was being very dismissive. Ultimately, we ended up going to DCH Honda and my buddy was able to lease a 2025 Honda HRV. The payments per month were a little higher so we reconsidered coming back to your dealership for the better payment per month, but my buddy said absolutely not. He did not want to give you guys the deal because of how rude Isiah was and the lack of interest in the transaction. It goes to show customer service goes a long way. Bell told me that I could view and possibly test drive a used 2018 Mazda3, so I drove 1-1/2 hours to Rahway, texting the sales rep that I was almost there, but when I arrived the salesman, Junior, was clueless as what I was there for and after 30 minutes of waiting , there was still no car to see , nor an estimate as to when it would be available as they were "evaluating" it.
