We had our wedding at Bella Collina last weekend. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The ceremony site overlooks the hilly golf course/ surrounding area and has a long aisle that's usually lined with flowers (it wasn't for our wedding and I wish I'd planned to bring more decor for the aisle). The banquet hall is lined with windows all the way around that overlook the same view. Karen, Elisa and the entire staff made the experience easy, seamless, and so special for us and our guests! Elisa was our coordinator and was so great to work with, personable, extremely accommodating and amazing at her job. We cannot thank her enough for making sure our wedding ran smoothly! We had a fabulous wedding at Bella Collina. Everything went right. We were checked on by our coordinators Karen Smiley and at the time Marcella Flores. Grooms and Brides quarters were excellent. Wedding aisle, chairs and flowers beautiful although windy that day. Gorgeous for photos, see three I posted by Dave Gionet Photography who's excellent by the way. My hair and make up were done by Pure Beauty by Danielle and she made me flawless, even while I was 5 months pregnant. The music very reasonable and do a mix of trio singers and dj was by Eddie B. The food was amazing beef tenderloin, Mahi Mahi, and white Mac n cheese with truffles and mashed potatoes. They served us and the guest table by table were buffet style. I cannot recommend Bella Collina enough. Our wedding was everything that I have ever wanted. We started falling in love with the site on the drive up, and just fell more deeply in love the more we saw the location, and worked with the staff. Karen is one of my favorite people ever, and I am so lucky that we got to work with her the entire time. Elisa could not have been more amazing leading up to and on the day of, she and her staff executed everything exactly as I envisioned, and she was so professional to work with, and kept things moving exactly as needed. She answered every question that I had with a smile, and was so incredibly helpful. The food was great, the ceremony site could not have been more beautiful, I couldn't have asked for anything more! It isn't called Pacific Golf and Country Club anymore, it is Bella Colina Golf and Towne Club. We are members here and love it. Great staff, good lunch and dinner menu. A lot of great ideas from management that make the club stand out from what you would expect to find at a usual country club. Very unique course, great members. We can see the course from our house and it is convenient. Lots of great programs as well such as the happy hour, dancing, fitness programs, etc. read more

My husband I just had our wedding at Bella Collina on September 6, 2015 and we could not be happier with our choice. Bella Collina was the perfect wedding venue for us, from the rolling hills, to the beautiful pathway entrance, and our favorite feature was the ceremony site. The ceremony site had a gorgeous amphitheater set up and a long stone walkway. Our friends and family loved the venue and the food! Karen and Elisa helped us throughout our wedding planning and Elisa and her team at Bella Collina helped us with our same day coordinating needs. Jay; I was trying to find Brian's (Club Pro) email on our member website & couldn't locate it. I just wanted to pass along a huge "thank you" for his summer kid's camp. I had my nephew attend & not only did he look forward to going everyday & had a great time......his daily improvement was amazing; night & day different from the Mon thru Fri on his swing - it's a thing of beauty! Brian & his staff did an amazing job - I now have 2 more nephews wanting to sign up for next year! Please pass along my thanks! On a side note; I've been gone past couple of weeks - ran down to squeeze in 9 tonight.........3rd hole I had to call in to Starter (Jesse - awesome kid) & ask what was this new contraption on golf cart - wow! I have a Bushnell watch range finder & the new ones on the cart were within 1 yard of it every time (guessing they are more accurate than my watch - I'm an 18-20 index so all I need is a rough # anyway!). My daughter got married here last October. It was a beautiful venue and wonderful service. Not your typical golf course. I would recommend no more than 150 ppl for the reception if you plan on having a head table, DJ, dance floor, etc. and don't seat more than 8 on a sixty inch round. We had more, but made it work. read more

I received an invite to play Bella the other day. I've played Bella before. Always a great golf experience. Greens were really nice with speed and slope, but fair to play. Played the black tees and it was a solid test of golf. They are always doing nice improvements around the course that show consideration for a more enjoyable round. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I wish I hadn't made breakfast at home as the food looked amazing. Looking forward to becoming a member soon. read more

If your looking for a place to get married in San Clemente RUN to this place. Everything about it was amazing. Hiring day of coordinator Elisa is also a must. She made the day perfect. I am a person that suffers from high anxiety and with her in charge I was able to relax. I made a mistake on the wedding day and was starting to get worried, but she came in and fixed my mistake and it was like it never happened. She is the best. I love this place! Really nice 27 hole golf course and the Club House is beautiful. I've been to a few meetings there and the view is inspiring, especially in the morning. From the meeting room you see the golf course and past that are the natural hills of Southern California as far as the eye can see. Not many places in Socal with that kind of view. This place is perfect for a party, meeting or other special event. The food has been good for breakfast to awesome for an evening dinner party. The Management, Chef and staff are extremely friendly and offer that special touch. Our waiter offered us a house special salsa that was to die for. read more

We love Bella Collina. This wedding site is a hidden gem in southern Orange County. Karen and Elisa are wonderful to work with and made us feel special from day one. They were always available to answer questions and help us in any way they could. The day of the wedding could not have been better. Everything looked beautiful and Elisa did such a great job of making sure everything was perfect. The ceremony site was great, with such a pretty view. We loved having a separate room and patio for the cocktail hour and it was a great location for socializing. The reception room was beautiful as well. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the room couldn't have looked nicer. The staff was so sweet and courteous to us and to our guests. One lay out (Muerfield) is excellent. One lay out (Carnoustie) is above average. The third lay out (Royal Latham) is not good. Not enough room to build nine holes. This is not a family friendly golf club. Many of the long term members resent families joining. The long term members can be impatient and show their frustration to young players. If you are a single player and enjoy challenging courses, this might work for you. If you are family looking for quality family time on the golf course, probably not the right place. read more

My husband and I got married at Bella Collina on 10-17-15 and could not be more thrilled with our entire wedding experience there. We decided to randomly check out the venue while on a long cocktail hour at a wedding at Talega and instantly fell in love with this beautiful property. You really feel like you are in the middle of a Tuscan vineyard when you enter Bella Collina- something we find at all in our venue search in Orange County. Karen Smiley was so informative and sweet on our impromptu venue visit and we booked our date within a week of checking it out. We had almost 1.5 years of waiting from that point to our wedding and so Bella Collina and Elisa, the Event Coordinator, helped us to plan our most perfect wedding. I was a little OCD and so I emailed Elisa A LOT- and she was always so sweet and made me feel less crazy about the wedding details. On our wedding day- everything went off perfectly- to this day we still aren't sure if anything went wrong at the venue. We highly recommend Bella Collina to any future newlyweds looking for a venue that is very different from any others in Southern California. The ceremony cite is unlike any other- it really is so gorgeous and I am SO happy we chose Bella Collina. We got our photos back and THIS PLACE PHOTOGRAPHS so beautifully! Our company worked a wedding there on Oct. 16th and it was beautiful! We had never been there before and were very pleasantly surprised. In addition to the views of green, rolling hills, pretty trees and fountains, the staff was so nice. We were shooting the video and had some equipment for behind the scenes; they were very accommodating, even gave me a ride in a golf cart with some of it. The food was delicious also. It was a wonderful place for a wedding ceremony outside, in that it was an amphitheater and slanted. Upstairs offered great views and spacious dinning and dancing later. We were able to create a beautiful wedding video with the combination of a great couple and beautiful setting! Hope to work there again soon. read more

Made reservations for the first time after winning it at a silent auction. ... doesn't matter but I paid large for the round, but we were excited! !!!! So, we make reservations at 1:30 pm and we arrived just short of 1:00........ When we approached the counter the clerk told us he couldn't find our reservation, OK ,, no problem, make it right. .... right ?? Instead, he then just assumed we would just leave.... So, I asked him to contact someone to correct the situation and he told me there was absolutely no one he could contact......... on Saturday afternoon. ...... Finally. .. we get out around 3:30 played 13 holes and left with a real bad taste in my mouth and at that point had ZERO desire to join at any price.... Sometimes it's not about price it's about customer service..... And we got just the opposite !!!!!!!! Hands down, Bella Collina is AMAZING! We just finished planning and executing a 10 month long charity event for the San Clemente Junior Woman's Club, a local non-profit all volunteer woman's organization (www.scjwc.org). We held the charity gala at Bella Collina Towne & Golf Club this past Saturday. WOW-ZA is all we can say...Bella Collina from start to finish was truly exceptional. Their talented team of event planners, starting with Karen and Elisa, handled every detail to perfection making the planning process smooth and easy. Second, Chef Leo made an amazing Latin dish to tie back to our Havana Nights theme. We are not exaggerating when we say that each and every plate was consumed entirely (Cuban chicken, cilantro lime rice, fried plantains and sautéed green beans, cherry on top: cinnamon churros con chocolate!). Chef Leo is creative, highly skilled and a pleasure to work with on every level. You rock Chef Leo, the food was delicious! Third, the staff was also top-notch delivering the meal timely and professionally. We simply cannot express our gratitude enough as our organization had a fantastic event. We also had a silent and live auction, along with a fund-a-need for an amazing local non-profit Community Outreach Alliance who is changing for the better the lives of teens, with the support of a wonderful, funny and extremely talented benefit auctioneer, Kenny Shirey Jr. from California Coast Auctions under Zack Krone's leadership/guidance. These guys are in a league of their own. Hands down, Kenny rocked the house and inspired a night of generous giving exceeding our fundraising goals. Lastly, VOX DJ Deeran and DJ Jenny got the entire crowd dancing up a storm. VOX DJ were easy to work with and we highly recommend their talented team. We also had a Latin guitar duo Kimera that added a nice accompaniment to our silent auction with their acoustic guitars and lovely vibe. We have joined Bella Collina in July last year. The main reason we joined this Club was it's natural settings. It is a hard course to play but when we were out playing, our joy of playing golf is mostly focused on looking around the surrounding mountains and seeing some small cute animals running across the course. There are road runners, squirrels, all kinds of birds and of course wild rabbits. They are really cute! The second reason was kind staffs and foods. We have very kind staffs who will go beyond their means to help the members. We moved from Ohio and being a newcomer, we needed all the help we can get to be able to fit into and enjoy this place. Especially the old timers of this place welcomed us with open arms and kindness. We were very much impressed and appreciated at the same time. The food quality and the serving staffs are superb. Lastly, the course itself have improved a lot during our short time being here and we also like our new pro Brian. The green supervisor have done a marvelous job of improving the fairways and greens. I do not hesitate to recommend this Club to anyone who enjoys the challenging golf course and warm staffs. read more

From the moment we pulled up to this place we both fell in love with Bella Collina. Bella Collina has amazing views and wonderful location to take breath taking pictures. The service we received one our wedding date was more than a 5 stars. Karen is a wonderful person the best helper ever, She has an amazing staff as well and wonderful vendors that she recommended too. If we were to get married one more time or renew our vowels we would chose Bella Collina all over again as well as our vendors no regrets about anything. I've now played the 27 hole Gary Player layout over 100 times. It is my favorite non ocean front golf course here is why Best greens in California they run on average 11 on stimp sometimes 13 with an incredible greens keeper Jay 18 holes of golf takes 3:15 minutes on average which enables us to play another 9 holes Challenging layout you will become a far better golfer Played in a member guest about 4 months ago which was incredible (it was by far the best food of my life I'm a whole foods guys juicing guy chicky nat guy anyway one nite we had wild elk wild venison fillet mignon lobster the side orders amazing The gym is specifically designed for golf it has a sauna and private showers and the people working there give you great service they actually care Back in the 90s tiger and that tall Georgia pro Matt Kuchar trained there and in past 12 years the golf great Austin graham trains there when in town from his global golfing schedule the head pro Brian does a great job pretty much always there remembers everybody makes you feel special and even remembers your guests names when they come back which is amazing The prices are reasonable I feel blessed and or lucky to play at this Private 27 hole golf club 3 days a week The only negative is that they need to get new Rakes for the sand traps apparently the law mowers mow them over otherwise the place is incredible Game up read more

Played Bella Collins the other day on an invite. Golf course was great. Greens were in good condition, rolling medium speed and very true. Played all 27 holes in 5 hours so it was a great pace of play. The course allows for a variety of shots and is a fun layout. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. the clubhouse is beautiful but sorta like an empty living room. theres plenty of event space, but at the end of the day all it really seems to be is four walls and a ceiling. theres not much to it. the greens are beautiful and prolly less expensive than most around the area. its classy but not too classy. its not the kind of place you want to take people to impress them. they'll be less than impressed read more

I am a member at Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club in San Clemente, CA. While I do take for granted the beautiful golf club, the staff, and the other members at the club, I felt I needed to post a review of an exceptional event the club held in June. The Food and Beverage team hosted a wine dinner that was superb. Not only was the wine offered very good, the food was excellent. If you see one of their wine dinners advertised, I would recommend giving it a try. Also, a great place to be a member. read more

My parents are members at Bella Collina and I was married here many years ago. We just enjoyed a phenomenal lunch on the warm and sunny patio on April 7. I admit I was hungry, but the salmon with coconut curry cous cous was one of the most delicious meals I have EVER eaten. The chef sautéed the salmon instead of grilling it upon my request which resulted in a perfect serving of salmon on a creamy and tasty bed of cous cous and julienned red and orange peppers. Exceptional Private Club. Challenging 27 holes, beautiful views and no crowd on the course! We golfed (4-some) 18-holes in 21/2 hours, then went to the Clubhouse and had the best steak I've had in South Orange County! Four months later we ended up joining the Club. read more
