Wow, this place is so cool. I came early on Saturday. I ordered the Kooter Klassic and Frickles. The fried pickles were cut thick and dipped in a corn dog batter before frying. They were topped with sliced chili. The burger was a smashed burger with the usual toppings served with fresh cut fries. My meal was delicious. I loved the decor of the restaurant. It had a Dukes of Hazard theme. Its sad that Ben Jones who played Kooter just passed. They had a magician doing tricks for diners. They were setting up to play music. I'm not sure what time the live music starts. Service here is the best. Everyone was so nice. They are always checking to see if you need anything. I will definitely be back.

When dinner plans go awry, PIVOT! Our first night in San Clemente was meant to be celebrating another trip around the sun while sipping rum drinks on the pier, watching the sunset. But if there's one lesson I've learned in many years roaming the Earth, it's be adaptable. Beautiful, crazy, fun, exciting things can happen when you stay open to throwing out the game book and letting life lead the way. Sometimes...you find yourself at Krazy Kooters having a wonderful time and a delightful meal! Such as it was this Saturday night in San Clemente. We came in a bit late for supper, almost 9:30pm, but we got a great seat at an open window and started taking in the options. I was wanting a drink with a kick and I got one. I forget what it was called, but I believe it was vodka muddled with strawberry, mint and something spicy. I usually make notes but, HUN-NEY, it was a DAY! Next, we ordered some food. I was really happy they had a light bowl option, with seared ahi and sticky rice. It was very flavorful, delicious and fresh. Hubs went with the steak and fries. He enjoyed the steak - cooked and seasoned perfectly - but wasn't so wild about the house "punch Krazy fries". I think they may have been fried twice because they were very crisp. We also requested the "Yungstas" Lil' Mac, because the side serving version was described as having "garlic chive fondue w/buttery crumbs" and we are all about a creamy, dreamy Mac and cheese offered to kids. We appreciated that they permitted this order. I'm always surprised when the request is denied to order something from a kids menu when we are obviously ordering 2 entrees and beverages, but Kooters rocked that request and the "kreamy cheese sauce" without the butter crumbs was perfect. The crowd this night was pretty chill. The bar seemed filled with locals, which I like, and we had a nice relaxing time, enjoying our dinner and taking in the eclectic decor. After we finished, we walked around a bit to get some pics of the restaurant. The devil is in the details, so be sure to enjoy the work that went into kreating Krazy Kooters. Cheers! "CC"

If you're looking for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner or just Drinks, then Krazy Kooters is the spot! Don't let the silly name fool you, this spot is legit and their food is incredible! I came for lunch for the first time and their patio was beautiful. They had plenty of shady and sunny seats and even a live musician. They have all sorts of fun events weekly too. As far as the food, I split the Hawt Chick sandwich with the extra hot sauce and it was A+. The chicken was so crispy and the pickles were extra juicy. I also enjoyed the wedge salad with the creamiest dressing of my life. I'm getting a bit obsessed with this place. And, the service is always amazing!

Another thing that I wouldn't recall

Food is amazing and service is great but I'm getting takeout for lunch and then go back to work so all those cold beers are going to have to wait till tonight

First time here! The burger was very fresh, savory, juicy, cheesy, flavorful, and delicious. Also, the fries were super, crunchy, crispy, salty, tasty, and the ketchup was tangy, and the lemonade was really sweet and refreshing, too. Good service, nice atmosphere with music, and I had an excellent experience today.

LOVE this spot! The vibes alone are immaculate and our server was amazing! The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. We came by for lunch today for San Clemente Restaurant Week and had ourselves a very big and very tasty meal! Started with the wedge salad, tasted good but my serving had too much dressing so I didn't finish it. My friend's salad was perfect though, so I think I just got a heavy poor. The New York Steak was great, we asked if we could upgrade the fries to the Kattywampus fries and they were able to accommodate the change. The fries were incredible, definitely would order those again as an appetizer! Dessert was fantastic, huge warm s'more brownie with vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle. I had plenty of leftovers and ended up having the rest for dinner. Overall great spot, I will definitely be coming back!! So many tasty menu items I need to try. The ambiance is also such a fun vibe, the decor inside the restaurant was amazing. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well. Can't wait to come back!

Before I write reviews for places I really enjoy, I like to visit a few times to get a true feel for the food, the vibe, and the people. One visit never tells the full story, and Krazy Kooters has quickly become one of those spots that keeps calling us back. Even before looking at the menu, we were drawn in by the decor and music. According to our bartender, the inspiration behind the restaurant comes from The Dukes of Hazzard, and it shows in the best way. Every piece of furniture, every detail on the walls, and every corner of the space has a story and a piece of art behind it. Take a moment to talk with the staff. They are not only incredibly welcoming and friendly but also genuinely love sharing the history of the space, where everything comes from, and the artists behind the decor. Our favorites by far are Deedee and Maddie. They are top-notch, full of energy, and always bring the fun. It's more than a meal here,it's an experience. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and unforgettable. Krazy Kooters strikes the perfect balance between family friendly and adult friendly. We love coming on Saturdays or Sundays when the magicians are performing. Thanks to them, our 10-year-old has discovered a love for magic and now practices tricks at home. It's been such a fun and inspiring experience for him. When it comes to the food, we've made our way through a big chunk of the menu and every dish has delivered Have Me a Steak Chicken and Waffles Pappy's Medicine It's All Gravy The Klassic Kooter The Wedge Salad Organic Garden Beets And today's new favorite, Guero's Tacos made with ground beef. It was the perfect mix between a Mexican tortilla and a juicy burger,so good. We also visited on Father's Day and had the chance to meet the owner and his wife. Their story of how they entered the restaurant world is inspiring. They are down to earth, humble, and full of passion. And let me just say, his wife is absolutely stunning inside and out. Shoutout again to Deedee and Maddie for making every visit fun, warm, and welcoming. Don't forget to say hi and ask how they're doing. They truly brighten up the whole experience. If you happen to catch the magic shows, be ready to be amazed. Chris Blackmore, John George, and Johnny Ace Palmer are incredible. They wow the kids and impress the adults too. I'm writing this review while listening to Velvet Sky by Los Lonely Boys and honestly, it matches the way I feel every time I leave Krazy Kooters, happy, full, and inspired. I highly recommend this place for the food, the people, the magic, and the energy. It's not just a restaurant. It's a whole vibe I just wish they have white claws! #krazykooters #familyfriendly #supportlocal #magicweekends #dukesofhazzardvibes #sogood #ocrestaurants #loslonelyboys #velvetskyvibes

It reminds you to stay present! Shout out to Sean: Sean is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also such a kind and personable bartender. He made the experience extra special by giving us the perfect (and I mean perfect) drink recommendations our first time here. The overall vibe though tailored an older crowd and not so much people in their 20's. There were a lot of drink options but not a lot of of that sweet and fun that I prefer. It's more sophisticated cocktails. Some staff reminded me to not have my phone out when I was clearly taking a picture of the receipt for my friend and I and that was upsetting. They are a week apart so we combined them. Very sneaky spot because it is not visible like a regular restaurant, but that just adds to the ambiance. Had reservations at 8 PM and our seats were on the second floor where we had a view of the wonderful sunset. We were seated in a both that fits 6, but it was better because the food was spaced out nicely on the table for easy access. My wife tried the Lady Luck cocktail which has vodka and others very a very tasty drink. We ordered the party house dinner rolls that that were ok. We also got the Lobster Crab Mac n Cheese. OMG this was so good. The melt cheese, the chunks of crab and chunks lobster made this an exquisite item to eat. We could not stop talking about how good it was. It also had cheese crated over the top as well. Lastly we got the Executive platter which is a collection of steak that the chef chooses. Our platter had filet mignon, 40 day dry aged New York Strip, and a 35 day dry aged Ribeye. All three were fantastic. We could not stop gushing over the ribeye and how well it was prepared and tasted. The steaks were all seasoned to perfection and did not require anything added to them . They also serve them with 3 sauces, but they are not needed at all. They also brought us small dessert for our birthday which was scoops of ice cream, but we were so full that we could not eat all of them. This place is worth the price and the staff and management were great. Special thanks to Daren. But special thanks to the tall slender gentleman who helped us. I ended up getting the Caesar salad, which comes with lemon, fried anchovy, and a ton of pecorino, and they were not kidding about the pecorino. It was literally like a blanket over the whole thing. But this Caesar was probably one of the best I've ever had. It was so good I literally didn't share it with anybody, I was like nope, I'm eating this whole thing by myself. The flavor, the pepper, the anchovies, the lemon, everything was so perfectly balanced. Even the waitress was super sweet and told me if I needed a salad, as basic as it sounds, the Caesar is the go to. She was absolutely right, phenomenal salad. We also got the beef marrow tartare dip thing that came with potato chips. It was good, nothing too crazy to say about it honestly. The Parker House rolls though, those we got as a side and they came out buttery, juicy, and just really good. The truffle came right through, these were phenomenal and absolutely a must have to go along with that Caesar. Then there's the bacon, which sounds crazy, it's literally just called bacon and it's this fat thick four inch slab, one single piece, and it was so so so good. I was absolutely shocked by it. For my main I went with the forty day dry aged bone in New York strip. It was pretty dang good, wouldn't say I was completely blown away, but I have a hard time with steak places in general because I always compare them to how I make a steak at home, and I still think I can make a better one myself. That said, this was very good, great crunch and crisp on the edge, those nice burnt increased edges, seasoned perfectly, and a spot on medium rare, so no complaints there. For sixty bucks though I just have a hard time paying for it, even if it was very good. The one that stole the whole night, hands down and by far, was the dessert. I don't remember what it was called but it was like this pancake ice cream, buttery, gooey, delicious, light and airy heaven. I literally apologized at the table and said I'm going to eat this entire thing, and I did just that. It was awesome. The ambiance and decoration of this place is straight up fine dining, you can feel and see it, and they even have actual dry aged beef ribs on display which is really cool. Not bad at all. I'd recommend it as a high end spot, just not somewhere I'd go consistently since I can do better at home. But that dessert dish, whatever the heck it was, I would go back for that alone. Best dish of the night for sure.

You know when you're starving after being out all day and almost anything sounds good? This wasn't one of those situations where the food just tasted good because we were hungry. Everything that came to the table was legitimately impressive. We started with the chips and salsa, and immediately knew we were in for a good meal. The chips were fresh and crispy, and the different salsas each had their own flavor instead of just tasting like different levels of heat. The creamy green one was especially good. We kept going back to it. The Birria Quesadilla was ridiculous. The tortilla had that perfect golden crisp on the outside, plenty of melted cheese, and the birria inside was tender, juicy, and actually flavorful. Dip it into the consommé and it takes it to another level. Add a little guacamole and pico and you get the perfect combination of crispy, cheesy, rich, fresh, and savory all in one bite. We also had the Carne Asada and this is where I really have a hard time describing how good the food was. The texture, preparation, and flavor of the meat were all on point. It had a beautiful char on the outside while still being tender and juicy inside. Nothing tasted overly seasoned or covered up. You could actually taste the quality and preparation of the meat. Even the rice, beans, pico, guacamole, and bacon wrapped jalapeño on the plate felt like they belonged there instead of being random sides thrown on to fill the plate. The portions were generous too. This is the kind of Mexican food where you can tell someone actually cares about how each component is prepared. There are different textures throughout the meal, crispy tortillas, tender meat, creamy guacamole, fresh pico, rich beans, and everything works together. The restaurant itself has a great San Clemente feel. It's lively and casual, but still nice enough that you could come here for more than just a quick meal. We came in after a soccer tournament and felt completely comfortable, but I could just as easily see coming back for brunch, dinner, or drinks. And after looking through the menu, there are already several things I want to come back and try. The menu goes way beyond the typical tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Filet mignon tacos, short rib, blackened shrimp, seafood, birria noodles, bowls, burgers, brunch, there is A LOT happening here. What impressed me most was how well the food was actually executed. Sometimes restaurants with huge menus do a little bit of everything but nothing particularly well. That wasn't our experience at Asada. We came in tired and hungry after a soccer tournament and left talking about the food. Asada Cantina + Kitchen is absolutely going on our San Clemente list. The texture, preparation, and taste of the food are honestly hard to put into words. You just need to try it.

The food was good. A few surprises My sister ordered the Cali eggs Benedict the potatoes wee supposed to be smashed, they were halved. The avocado slices looked old due to the dark tone on them, not the normal green. My chilaquiles had black beans, not mentioned in the menu description; great surprise. There was supposed to be sour cream on my chilaquiles and there wasn't any. It would have cut some of the sourness of the chile verde sauce. I chose poached eggs in stead of fried ones. My eggs were over cooked and cold. I am pretty sure they were precooked. I would give them another try, maybe for lunch.

Food: We started off with the coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was good. The coconut was crispy and the shrimp was well done for the main dish. I got the Cali Benedict. It was Soooo good. The hollandaise sauce was so tasty. The shrimp was fully seasoned and the potato's were well seasoned and huge. I recommend people getting this dish. Ambiance: The ambiance was great. There wasn't really a lot of people so that was nice. Just kids screaming and cry from time to time.

Not sure if they don't have a manager but this place is in desperate need of management. When we walked up the employee working the host stand just stared at us so I said "hi we are here for dinner." And she replied "Okay" but then walked away. She came back and said we could sit on the outside now if we wanted so we took that. We were seated at 6:45-6:50 and apparently they have a special that ends at 7. The server didn't get to us until after 7 so we asked for the special but you would have thought we were asking for the server's first born. The server/runner who brought our food to our table looked like she was having a rough day. She dropped off the food in the dead center of a large table and said nothing. Now, the place is pretty awesome right on the pier. Also, the food was actually good - we were not optimistic based on the service. Lastly, I thought their prices were quite reasonable. We will swing over there in a few weeks and try again.
