A couple years back I needed to make a change on salons when I moved out to Melissa from Frisco. I found this place from a quick Google search and was able to get in quickly. I'm always nervous to try new hair places with my hair being extremely important to me. I get my hair bleached and it hasn't always gone well so I am always hesitant. From first visit, the staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. You get a small town luxury feel where it is more than just getting your hair done. Everyone really does care. Mary Ann is my main hair stylist, but you can not go wrong with anyone there. My hair is the best it's ever been and I get compliments all of the time on how great the color is and how healthy it is. That's not luck it's the effort and love put into each of my visits. I am so thankful to have found Bella Couture Salon and highly recommend to anyone! To the few bad reviews on here I've read about expectations and pricing I would like to note that quality costs money. Awards recognizing excellence are awesome and preferred. Everyone has their opinions, but it seems to me some expectations are just not realistic. A $50 hair treatment does wonders on my hair maintenance plan which I gladly pay. My first time at this Salon. I lived in Melissa for about 2 years now and decided to try somewhere close to home (5minute drive). I used to drive 45 minutes to Frisco but my main stylist moved out of state so I decided to try somewhere new. As I was greeted at the salon they took sanitary measures very seriously (as they should) and everything was a clean, smooth and enjoyable process. Today Tyleen did my hair and I am happy with it!! Everything got done in a timely matter and she cut the exact length that I wanted. My total came out to $75+tip because she is a master hair stylist. I am looking forward to coming again and trying out all the different stylist. Everyone was very nice and I was thirsty and they gave me water and champagne. Overall, great first experience. So, we are thinking of moving to the area and I desperately needed a haircut. Unfortunately, we were only going to be here 2 days. Yesterday, I called several salons after checking reviews and Abby at Bella Couture Salon actually answered the phone. She was able to get me in for my "emergency" hair cut today and I couldn't be happier. I have scheduled a color in 3 weeks when we return to the area. I loved Mary Ann, the owner, who made me a cup of tea and treated me like a friend. So far, Texas is batting 1,000 and this salon hit it out of the park today. Thank you, Abby! I felt very welcomed here and was pleased with my services. I felt it a bit overpriced for this area, however.

My wife was looking for a new place to get her hair done and stop driving 60 miles to her old stylist. She told me about the reviews she received on Bella Couture and that I should check it out. I was hesitant to go, but at this point, I'm desperate for a real good men's cut. I've been to all the Super-Sports hair places and even to some of these, "en vogue", men's "barbers" that frankly, I'm not impressed. Either I paid too little for a wreckless, assembly-line cut or far too much for a basic cut from these en vogue barbers. I don't need hot towels or free beer, I just want a good cut. So - I get to Bella, a very clean place, and everyone was professional and friendly as well. I was scheduled with Tyleen, a master barber and I have to say, WOW! I knew right off the bat that I was going to get a good cut because of the focus on detail and the care she took to cut. When I usually get my hair cut, I carry a cap with me and just put my cap on when done because it just looked like I used a weed eater. This time, I didn't want to put the cap on! I walked out with my hair looking better than it has in years - despite the thinning and gray, it really was the best cut I've gotten in probably 30 years. I'm also pleasantly surprised at how well and quickly it all comes together in the morning - very pleased! read more

I have one word for this Salon...SUPERB! Incredible customer service, beautiful salon atmosphere and beyond talented stylists! I was greeted right away where I was then offered refreshments. Mary-Ann, my stylist starts off with a quick little tour and information on how their salon came to be, product lines they carry and more! When she sat me down for our consultation she covered bases I have never been asked about before by past stylists, which killed any nerves I had about the cut I would receive by the end of the visit. This salon does have talented stylists, and I was a regular customer of Mary Ann's for about 4 years. But despite the excellent hair cuts/coloring/styling, I can no longer tolerate their idea of customer service. This is what I have experienced: On more than 3 occasions, trying to schedule appointments or to discuss a different hair plan, I never received a call back. So I had to book on line and that requires having a credit card on file. On my last appointment, Mary Ann was not happy that I hadn't contacted her to discuss a different plan, frigidly informing me that I should have called. Well, if my calls are not returned. Why should I bother? One day I had a first of the day appointment at 10:00. I arrived a few minutes early only to discover that Mary Ann was with another client. I was told by the receptionist that they called to delay my appointment by 30 minutes. I checked my phone in case I missed the call. I did NOT get a call. Mary Ann could see that I was there but did not even greet me. I am really tired of the up-selling and the big cost increases. She sold me a deep conditioning treatment for an extra $50 the last time I was there (it didn't do anything for my hair). My appointment totaled about $350 that day and that didn't include the tip. Lately there has been a big changeover in staff, and the stylists who were warm, friendly, and welcoming are all gone. There is now a very fake, cold sort of "welcoming". I have always been on time for my appointments, been polite, and tipped well -- unless $40 to $50 tips are considered stingy these days. So if you want an excellent haircut and color but don't mind the lack of considerate customer service, by all means try to make an appointment. I will spend my $$$ elsewhere. read more

I visited this business last week for a hair coloring treatment. The owner (calls herself the DIRECTOR) was extremely rude and verbally abusive to her staff. She made very negative comments to customers about the looks of their hair. During the appointments she directed staff to change the color of my hair, to a color she felt was more appropriate rather than asking me what I wanted. She was an absolute "know it all" bragging about her prestigious hair awards she had won. My hair turned out terrible. It was not even close to the color I asked for and then the "DIRECTOR" tried to bilk me out of more money with a bunch of add on charges that were never approved, nor was I informed of. This place is an absolute scam. I feel bad for the staff who are treated so badly by the owner. I will never return. Although we live in Melissa, I would rather drive to Fort Worth than to go back here. read more

Cassie and Mary Ann took their time during the consultation to talk about what I wanted vs. what was actually achievable in changing my color that visit. I absolutely LOVE their suggestion and couldn't be happier. Cassie did a fantastic job with my cut and style. You know when you leave the salon, love your style, but can't even halfway recreate it? So not that way in my experience. Cassie gave me an amazing cut and a style that's easy to recreate at home. So many compliments in the last few days - I feel like a million bucks. i booked an appointment with Cody last weekend, and i can safely say that was the worst mistake i could've made. he completely ruined my hair. i asked for a simple touch up to my hair, (to trim it up about 1- 1 1/2 inches and touch up my layers) and add a thin fringe. he cut about 3-4 inches off my hair, chopped uneven, extremely thick bangs that begin about 2 inches back from my hairline. all of the hair on my head in front of my ears i cannot wear down now because it looks like i have a half bowl cut. my hair is too short to pull into a ponytail so now i'm stuck like this until it grows back in the months to come. he nor anyone else acknowledged what he had done while i was there. they all just stared at me and watched as he ruined my hair, and i had no idea it was happening because he had me faced away from the mirror. another stylist come over and began chopping even more hair. still no one acknowledged what was happening. even as i went to leave no one acknowledged how awful my hair looked. i was in such shock seeing myself in the mirror that i paid and i left the salon in tears and have been crying all week. i used to love this salon but now i am so scared to return. read more

I went to this salon for the first time today & I was SO impressed. Their Covid process made me rest easier knowing I wasn't being risky with needing my hair cut. They go above & beyond to make sure everyone is safe. Then the scalp massage that Anna gave me during my washing was so wonderful. I loved the process she took with cutting my hair & the end result. My hair was so healthy after she trimmed my hair! But most of all, the way Anna was toward me when I unexpectedly felt faint from being severely anemic was great. It never occurred to me that being severely anemic (& the lack of oxygen internally from that) may make me feel faint after wearing my mask for awhile. I had avoided stores & such so I hadn't had to wear a mask for a long length of time. Breathing hot air in the mask, then getting a little warm overall with the cape, plus the cape around my neck & then my anemia just made a bad situation. I showed her my medical alert bracelet just to let her rest easy knowing it was caused by that & not Covid. They turned a fan on in our area to help me cool off & that worked wonders. They were great! I appreciate them very much. I felt bad that my first visit was such an ordeal. I definitely ordered me a mask with vents after this experience. Talk about learning the hard way but I couldn't have asked for a better salon to assist me. They will be my go-to for my hair needs! read more

I went in extremely nervous and she was so supporting and walked me through every step on the way! The atmosphere is amazing and everyone there seems to work as such a great team. If I could give negative stars, I would. DON'T go to this salon! They fancy themselves "color experts", you know - the ones who like to take a little from this color formula and a little from that color formula to come up with a custom color just for you, but they don't know what they are doing. I am 60 yrs old and have been coloring my hair for 30 yrs. This was hands down the worst salon experience of my life! I ended up with little scabs all over my scalp, my hair falling out and feeling like straw, and I had to re-cut my hair myself when I got home because the cut was so bad. My stylist was Devon or some such devil name. I asked for a simple color and cut (no hi-lights or difficult styling). He parted my hair on the side and then cut it straight across the bottom. That was it, he was done with the cut! My natural hair color is dark brown and that is the color I wanted, to cover the gray. I ended up with black hair. The owner offered to correct the color and that is how my hair got ruined and I ended up with scabs on my scalp. The color was not even corrected, now my hair color was uneven with orange in it! DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND STEER CLEAR OF THIS SALON!!!!!! read more

When I walked in the first time I knew right away this salon was special. I never thought I'd find such a treasure in the small town of Melissa! Mary Ann has a big city background and had her own place in Park Cities Dallas. She is a real hair pro! She not only has talent but a real desire to create the most beautiful you!
